Facebook has acquired
WhatsApp for a whooping US $19 billion. This is the big news of the day. Now that you know that, in other news
Facebook India has opened a
forum where people of India can
ask questions to eminent Indian political leaders and PM candidates. The list of politicians includes
Narendra Modi,
Arvind Kejriwal,
Mamata Banerjee,
Akhilesh Yadav and Lalu
Prasad Yadav.
The questions posted on the forum
www.facebook.com/FacebookIndia which goes live today will be asked by Madhu Trehan live on NDTV between 3 and 8 of March, 2014. Social platforms such as
Twitter and FB have become popular with the youth to voice out questions and comments. Facebook has millions of Indians on its platform, hence the idea of linking voters of India with their favourite candidate does look like a good one.
Out of the lot BJP seems to be the most active on social media, which is driving lot of votes in the country. Many have questions for leaders on their agendas, manifestos and promises. Also, how will they lead the country if they come to power is a common question asked by many. Will these be answered clearly using Facebook? We will know in couple of weeks.
