TV Show Re-runs That Everyone Loves To Watch
These shows still steal the hearts of audiences all over the world. Even those who were not born when they were first telecasted, but have grown up watching some of them. They have definitely made a mark on the small screen. Be it on a CD or the online platform, these early shows are unbeatable.

1. FRIENDS



The show and the actors made millions of dollars started with a bang in 1994.When no one ever thought that a show based on normal life of few friends would become such a great hit. With their funny silly jokes they made us laugh and made us remember our true friends. Solving day-to-day problems and finding humour in everything possible, FRIENDS has brought laughter in every viewer’s life. It was heartbreaking for many when ‘FRIENDS’ came to an end.

2. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

Those who think the vampire saga begun in 2000s are highly mistaken. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER literally opened the gates for other vamp shows in 1997. A comedy, a drama, a farce, a horror, a mystery, a sci-fi and at times a musical piece, this show brought all the elements together and became the most loved vampire show of all times.

3. THE SIMPSONS



Though the series is still running, we still added it to the list as The Simpsons is the longest running American sitcom, the longest running American animated series and the longest running American scripted television series. And people love to watch the re-runs of the same. By having 20 seasons it has been titled as the ‘Animation Classic’ by its viewers.
Homer is a likable character even when he acts like a scruffy person. Bart brings great to every episode. Every character plays an important and funny role in the series. The Simpsons manages to be funny and entertaining without using a lot of vulgarity.

4. FULL HOUSE

Full House, an ideal family-oriented show of 1987 was produced to give good laughs to its viewers. It has been criticised for being cheesy and predictable, but it is the best family show of that era. The cast was so appealing that you can just find yourself fitting into their shoes and facing every obstacle in a family life.
Having a happy ending with lovely characters at the end of every episode, Full House leaves a smile on every viewer’s face.

5. HOUSE



HOUSE is a show on medical mysteries with a combination of detective work that makes each episode exciting. Hugh Laurie stars as the main character ‘House’, who is a foul tempered and grumpy doctor that goes around insulting everyone. His sarcasm is humorous and his bluntness shows his confidence to cure every medical problem. Besides being a genius, House cracks the funniest jokes. We just can’t get enough of him.

6. LOST

‘LOST’ was an incredible drama series with a not-so-great ending. However, that does not stop the viewers to watch the re-runs. Lost series has great depth, both in its characters and storyline. The writers kept building the suspense for the viewers, which was the hooking factor.

7. PRISON BREAK



With the very first pilot episode of PRISON BREAK the viewer’s got hooked and as the plot started to unfold most of us got addicted. Prison Break is a story of two brothers who are trying to escape the prison. The plot is very interesting and the journey of brothers on the run to get justice captivates its viewers.
The storyline is complex at times with suspense woven sub-plots. Prison Break warrants repeated viewings of the brotherly love.

8. ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES (1984)

The name says it all. The world renowned detective had its first show series in 1984 named as ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES. Over the years Sherlock Holmes has been played by many actors, but Jeremy Brett was the finest Sherlock of all times.
Sherlock Holmes has the most unique ability to solve crimes with very little fanfare. This series spot-on characterization is very similar to the original character as described in the books.
