If only there were an easier way. Enter mobile payments. With the increasing number of NFC-enabled devices, many people are paying for things with their phones instead of swiping a credit card or paying cash. And just this past Sunday, Samsung Pay, a mobile payment service powered by MasterCard technology, was launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
With more and more retailers adopting digital payments, it won't be long before you start leaving your wallet at home on purpose. Unfortunately, we're not quite there yet. So until then, here are a few scenarios we think would be improved if we could only replace our wallets with our phones.
1. That morning you missed the train for work while fumbling for your wallet.
Don't you wish you could just wave your phone to get on the train instead of always having to search for your rail card? Yeah, so do we.

2. When you're finishing up your morning run and want to buy coffee ... but don't have your wallet.
Unless you wear a fanny pack while you work out (and who does?), chances are you're not carrying much cash with you on your morning jog.

3. When you're headed to a party and don't feel like taking your bulky wallet along.
It's hard to get down on the dance floor when you're being weighed down by a heavy wallet.

4. When you get to the register and realize all of your credit cards have been demagnetized.
"What do you mean my card isn't working?!" Swipe. Swipe. Swipe. We've all been there, buddy. A tap of your phone could make the pain go away.

5. When you can't remember which pair of pants you placed your wallet in.
Was it the ripped pair? Or was it the acid-washed jeans?
