Last year, my friend formed a huge group for trekking to Kheerganga in Himachal Pradesh and I jumped at the opportunity. I have always loved trekking as it is magical. The group had some 19 odd members and everyone belonged to different professions but had one common motive-mental peace.
Trekking is like a soothing balm on your soul. The sense of relief of being away from the hustle-bustle of the city life and sitting in the lap of nature leaves a calming effect on your mind and soul.
Amid the staggering snow-capped mountains, huge waterfalls and charming meadows, one can procrastinate, plan ahead and be more focused in life.

Trekking also gives you determination to overcome obstacles as it is not easy. Rambling through quaint villages and climbing steep valleys with flowing rivers is indeed a tough task, especially when there is nothing to hold on to.
