India is a place rich with fast food joints. Whether it is the two decade old Nirulas who have a variety of burgers or Pizzas from Dominos (that is now available almost everywhere in India), the country loves its fast food. There are plenty of ethnic fast food restaurants as well, such as Sagar Ratna who provide you with superb dosas, idli’s and wada’s with mouth watering curries.

The fast food culture picked up speed when McDonalds and KFC came into India more than a decade and a half ago. While KFC left and came back, people here woke up to the new eating culture and ever since are hooked on to these brilliant eateries.

Donuts are the new craze in town and people are flocking to places like Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme for a quick bite. More and more American fast food bistros are emerging in India and there is room for more.
