Aamir Khan's Dangal gets 1/3rd of its Day 1 box office collections from Bookmyshow

Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated Dangal opened to packed houses yesterday, earning rave reviews from critics and moviegoers alike ans going by its stupendous box-office collections, it seems that Bollywood has managed to keep its best for the last.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal released in 4,300 screens and reportedly made over Rs 30 crores on Day 1. It’s interesting to note that online ticketing website Bookmyshow contributed 1/3rd to the film’s total Day 1 India box office collections.
At the end of Day 1, BookMyShow contributed as high as 33% to the film’s overall India business and expects the movie to continue to do extremely well over the weekend.
Dangal has also received the highest-ever advance opening on BookMyShow. The movie witnessed approximately 40% more advance bookings on the platform for the opening week as compared to other blockbusters that entertained movie buffs in 2016. BookMyShow also hit its fastest 1 million ticket milestone for an individual movie with Dangal.
