It has been a tumultuous 12 months for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Rather than taking a victory lap after winning their fourth Super Bowl, the Patriots have been embroiled in the never-ending scandal we have come to know as Deflategate.

Already one of the NFL's most intense and focused players, the scandal seems to have lit a fire under Brady, leading to some unbridled emotions captured by photographers for the Associated Press, Getty, and Reuters.
