Moving to a new city like London can be stressful, but what if you're going to live in an entirely different country?

It may be called the United Kingdom but each country has its own identity, and nowhere is this truer than Scotland. We may speak the same language, but the Scottish have their own food, their own culture, their own political views, and for some, even their own language.

We asked young 20-somethings working in journalism and private equity who have moved to Scotland for university or work what they wish they'd known before crossing the border.
