Reese Witherspoon dyed her signature blonde hair brown for her role as an American woman who takes in a Sudanese refugee in the upcoming film "The Good Lie."

But while shooting the movie in Atlanta last week, Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct after her husband Jim Toth was given a DUI.

After pulling the "you don't know who I am?" card, the 37-year-old mother of three released a statement saying she "had one drink too many" and is "embarrassed about the things I said."

After Miley Cyrus tweeted photos of her new haircut, in which part of her head was shaved, fans and foes were quick to disapprove. 

Cyrus blew off her haters, tweeting "if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all ... Never felt more me in my whole life. LOVE my hair. feel so happy, pretty, and free.”

But since Cyrus' haircut last August, her relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth is reportedly on the rocks, in part because she says "I have pushed everyone away for music."

After starring in box office hits "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" with red hair, Lindsay Lohan was one of the most sought-after actresses in the world. 

But shortly after she dyed her red hair bleach blonde and lost a ton of weight, Lohan started to be seen in a different light. 

Today, she's often associated with partying more so than acting.

This summer she's expected to check into a rehab facility for a 90-day court ordered stay.

Colombian beauty Sofia Vergara is known for her long brown locks, but it's surprisingly not the Emmy-winning "Modern Family" star's natural hair color.

The 40-year-old actress was actually born blonde, but has said she dyed her hair because “It didn’t match the Hollywood stereotype for a Latina woman.”

Once she dyed her hair dark, the roles starting pouring in.

“I think I should have always had dark hair,” Vergara has said.

The 29-year-old "Tron" actress told Into The Gloss:

I spent the first couple years of my career as a very blonde blonde. And then I went brunette for a role, and suddenly all my offers changed—the types of roles people approached me with totally changed.”

And I always wondered—would I have been offered those roles had I still been blonde? I don’t think so. I think the perception of brunettes being more intellectual persists. Even though it makes no sense! I mean, Hillary Clinton is very, very blonde! And when I went from being blonde for a long time to brunette, I felt like I was invisible, because you’d walk into a room, and nobody immediately looks at you.

Then she married Tom Cruise, got this mom haircut and started going by "Kate."

Her career became nearly non-existent. 

But today, the divorcé is back to her signature long locks -- and still working to regain her career status.

Britney Spears was the queen of the pop scene since she was 16-years-old. 

But then, in 2007, Spears walked into a salon and shaved her head in front of hundreds of paparazzi flashbulbs. Instantly, public perception shifted and instead of a sex symbol, she was seen as an unstable person.

The naturally blonde star said she "flipped out" when she saw her darker 'do, which was for her role in "One For The Money."

But since Heigl went brunette, her career has nearly stalled.

After leaving her role on "Grey's Anatomy" to focus on film acting, Heigl starred in "Killers" with Ashton Kutcher, which hugely flopped. 

After being passed over for Hayden Panettiere's role in "Heroes," she was cast in the film "Superbad."

Director Judd Apatow forced her to dye her hair red for the role, and it stuck.
