  1. Britain just laid out plans to end the internet's Wild West days and take a world-leading role in regulating big tech. If internet platforms fail to keep hate speech and content relating to sexual abuse, violence, terrorism or self-abuse off their services, they will face huge fines under the proposed new rules.
  2. Amazon paid $97 million to acquire Eero in a fire-sale deal that left some shareholders with practically nothing, according to leaked documents obtained by Business Insider. Eero's three founders are poised to make millions off of the acquisition, according to the documents.
  3. New Zealand's privacy commissioner called Facebook "morally bankrupt liars" over its reaction to the Christchurch shooting last month. Facebook said it removed 1.5 million videos of the New Zealand shooting in 24 hours, and deleted the shooter's Facebook account and his original live video.
  4. Lauren Sanchez reportedly filed for divorce from her husband a day after Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos finalized the terms of their divorce. Divorce documents were reportedly filed on Friday to sever the 13-year marriage between Sanchez and Patrick Whitesell, the co-CEO of the talent agency WME.
  5. Elon Musk was accused of shoving and threatening a former Tesla employee, but the company's board says there was no physical altercation. Bloomberg first reported the altercation, citing sources that said the incident involved physical contact.
  6. Apple's music streaming service has overtaken Spotify for US users, the Wall Street Journal reports. Sources told the Journal that Apple Music has been growing at a faster rate than Spotify in the US.
  7. NYSE used a massive red banner to woo Pinterest away from the Nasdaq for its $12 billion IPO. Pinterest ultimately chose to list with NYSE because of a massive marketing package offered by the exchange, according to the Wall Street Journal.
  8. A member of Google's now-dead AI ethics board is furious with the company for killing the project after a week. Google scrapped the board after intense employee backlash to Kay Coles James, who heads up a right-wing think tank, being appointed.
  9. Elon Musk revealed how a tiny internal camera in Tesla vehicles is going to help the firm compete with Uber and Lyft. Elon Musk tweeted about the purpose of tiny cameras that perch just above the rear-view mirror in Tesla vehicles.
  10. Amazon will launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites to help people who don't have access to high-speed internet. The plan is codenamed "Project Kuiper" and could cost billions of dollars, according to GeekWire.
