1. Google announced a range of new devices at its biggest product launch event of the year. Devices include the Pixel smartphones, a Home speaker, and a virtual reality headset called Daydream View.

9. The venture-capital backed coffee chain that Silicon Valley is obsessed with is expanding to three new cities. Blue Bottle Coffee will launch in Boston, Miami, and Washington, DC.
