1. The British government published a revised version of the so-called "Snooper's Charter." A group of MPs and civil society activists signed an open letter on Tuesday morning calling on the Government not to "rush" through the legislation.
2. Jay Z's music streaming service Tidal fired its CFO and COO in one day. The company said it's moving its finance and operations teams to the US so it had no need for the veteran executives.
3. The director of the FBI admitted that a "mistake was made" with the San Bernardino shooter's iPhone. The password was changed at the FBI's request.
4. A 34-year-old Turkish hacker who stole $55 million (£39.3 million) from ATMs pleaded guilty in federal court. Prosecutors have called the scheme one of the most successful and coordinated bank heists in history.
5. A Facebook executive was detained in Brazil for failing to cooperate in a drug trafficking investigation. Police wanted Facebook to turn over WhatsApp messages.
6. Mark Pincus has stepped down as CEO of Zynga again. He's going to be replaced by Frank Gibeau, a 25-year gaming industry veteran who previously worked at Electronic Arts.
7. HTC says it sold 15,000 virtual reality headsets in 10 minutes. HTC announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last year that it is working with gaming company Valve on the headset.
8. SurveyMonkey is laying off 100 employees so that it can "course correct." That's around 13% of its staff.
9. The husband of someone who was shot in San Bernardino is siding with Apple in its battle with the FBI. Salihin Kondoker, the husband of Anies Kondoker, who survived the attack after being shot three times, has filed a friend of the court brief siding with Apple.
10. Failed tech unicorn Powa Technologies fired key developers on New Year's Eve. That was around 5% of staff.
