  1. Amazon could start testing its delivery drones in India as soon as October. The drones would enable same-day delivery and could fulfill shipments within 30 minutes.
  2. HP reported a nice beat on revenue with profits in line during its earnings call. It hit $27.6 billion in revenue and an EPS of $0.89.
  3. Thomson Reuters has an aggressive growth plan: it wants to help itself to other sites' content without explicit permission. It sent a warning email to publishers asking them to either grant permission or deny the use of their articles on Reuters within 14 days. Otherwise, Reuters will "presume that consent has been given" to let it use and distribute their articles however Reuters sees fit.
  4. Twitter-owned video app Vine launched a new camera. Videos can now be uploaded from camera rolls and turned into Vines, and Vines can be edited and shared faster.
  5. Angel investors say big-name VCs are getting greedy and hogging the best startup deals for themselves. "Really f---ing tired of bigger investors pressuring founders not to let prior investors get pro-rata," one angel tweeted.
  6. An investor who allegedly sent an email to a woman in tech stating, "I'm not leaving without having sex with you," has apologized. "I regret sending the messages while I was in Berlin in July, mentioned recently in the press," the investor told Business Insider in an email. "I apologize for them and I am ready to apologize again in person with a big bouquet of flowers."
  7. The tech elite are getting ready for desert music festival Burning Man, which runs from August 25 - September 1. In the past, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have all attended the 50,000-person event.

  9. Former RRE investor Adam Ludwin has raised $9.5 million to build the Stripe of Bitcoin, Chain. Chain arose from the ashes of a failed photo startup, Albumatic, that raised $4 million.
  10. Dropbox's head of design, Soleio Cuervo, has left the company. "Today marks my last day as a full-time Dropboxer. I'm transitioning back to serving as a company advisor over the coming month," he wrote on Facebook.
