- Twitter delivered earnings that crushed expectations across the board. The stock went crazy after hours jumping over 30%.

- Marco Arment, former Tumblr CTO, current podcast app maker, and influential Apple writer, has a big essay on the state of the App Store. He's not a fan, he thinks Apple needs to kill top lists, and improve search.
- Facebook is trying yet another photo messaging app. This time, it's Instagram launching something called "Bolt" which allows users to send photo messages. It's like TapTalk, which is a fairly popular chat app.
- Facebook killed Gifts, which was its attempt at getting people to buy gifts for friends through Facebook. Some day someone will figure out e-commerce on social networks. However, that day is not today.
- Flipkart, an e-commerce site based in India that was started by former Amazon employees, has raised $1 billion in new funding.
- More competition for Amazon! The CEO of Quidsi, which was the parent of Diapers.com, which sold to Amazon, has raised $55 million for a new e-commerce site.
