1. Wikimedia has a new chief, Lila Tretikov, who was born in Soviet Russia. Previously, she was at SugarCRM.
2. Once hot startup Foursquare made its pivot away from check-ins permanent. It split its app in two. Foursquare will be a Yelp-like competitor, and a new app, "Swarm," will be used for checking in.
