Naxal IED blast kills 10 CRPF commandos in Bihar

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has lost at least ten of its commandos from its elite COBRA battalion in a Naxal Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in the jungles of Bihar's Aurangabad district, while five others were critically injured.The encounter in which these commandos were killed also resulted in the killing of three naxals, said officials.
The incident happened in the Chakarbanda-Dumarinala forests of the Aurangabad district, nearby Gaya.

Officials later recovered some arms and ammunition, including an AK-47 rifle, INSAS rifle and under barrel grenade launcher from the site.

A search operation was launched after addition reinforcements of Bihar police and CRPF reached the spot.
