The 35-year-old advocate has become the latest victim of what is being labelled as a <keyword id="6427652" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sim" source="Orion">SIM</keyword> swap scam, raising concerns across the country.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="First, what happened" comment="subhead" text="First, what happened"><span data-til="noop">First, what happened</span></cmsannotation><br />The victim has claimed that she received three missed calls from an unknown number. Then, she called the person from another number and the caller claimed that it was a courier delivery call.<br /><br />The victim then shared her address with the caller. After this, she received two messages revealing that 50 lakh were debited from her account. As per the victim, she did not share any OTP or banking details with the scammer.<br /><br />Investigators have found that there were several debits from the victim’s account without her knowledge.<br /><br />During the investigation, the police uncovered “unusual” web browsing history on the victim’s phone. Several websites and portals that the victim had not visited were noticed on her phone’s history. Additionally, the cops found a suspicious message about UPI registration as well.<br /><br />“The woman in her complaint has also said that she received a call after the scam from a man, who portrayed himself as an IFSO officer, seeking her bank statement. Luckily, she didn’t share any details with him,” the officer said.<br /><br />IFSO is the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) Unit of the Delhi Police.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="SIM Swap scam" comment="subhead" text="SIM Swap scam"><span data-til="noop">SIM Swap scam</span></cmsannotation><br />The investigation has so far led the cops to believe that this is another instance of a SIM swap scam. Delhi woman loses ₹50 lakh in SIM Swap scam – Here’s how you can stay safe

<keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>'s first woman judge of the <keyword id="6354977" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="supreme-court" source="Orion">Supreme Court</keyword> <keyword id="77775" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Fathima-Beevi" source="Orion">Fathima Beevi</keyword> breathed her last at a private hospital at Kollam on Thursday. She was 96-years-old and was in hospital for a while.<br /><br />Beevi, who was living at her home in Pathanamthitta after retirement, has a number of firsts to her name.<br /><br />Apart from being the first woman judge of the apex court she was the first Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission and the first Muslim female Governor (<keyword id="20154" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tamil-nadu" source="Orion">Tamil Nadu</keyword>).<br /><br />Incidentally Beevi enrolled herself as an advocate in 1950 and began her career in the lower judiciary in Kerala.<br /><br />Beevi was appointed as a Munsiff in the Kerala Sub-ordinate Judicial Services in May 1958. She was promoted as the Sub-ordinate Judge in 1968, as the Chief <keyword id="169412" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="judicial-magistrate" source="Orion">Judicial Magistrate</keyword> in 1972 and as District and Sessions Judge in 1974.<br /><br />Beevi was further appointed the Judicial Member of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal in January 1980 before being elevated to the <keyword id="6355392" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="high-court" source="Orion">High Court</keyword> as a Judge on August 4, 1983.<br /><br />Beevi became permanent Judge of the High Court on May 14, 1984. The electric bike is targeted at the electric performance bikes segment and will take on the premium Ultraviolette F77 electric bike.<br /><br />The <keyword id="8748579" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="orxa-mantis" source="Orion">Orxa Mantis</keyword>, the first electric bike from the company also offers an industry first – it is claimed to be equipped with India’s first liquid-cooled electric motor.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Orxa Mantis price and availability" comment="subhead" text="Orxa Mantis price and availability"><span data-til="noop"><keyword id="19577106" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Orxa-Mantis-price" source="Orion">Orxa Mantis price</keyword> and availability</span></cmsannotation><br />The Orxa Mantis has been priced at ₹3.6 lakh ex-showroom, putting it just below the Ultraviolette F77 base variant which is priced at ₹3.8 lakh ex-showroom.<br /><br />The Mantis will be available in Bengaluru starting from April 2024, followed by other cities. The company has started accepting bookings for the bike on its website.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Orxa Mantis features" comment="subhead" text="Orxa Mantis features"><span data-til="noop">Orxa Mantis features</span></cmsannotation><br />The Orxa Mantis comes with a sporty design, just like the Ultraviolette F77. It is offered in two colour options – Urban Black and Jungle Grey.<br /><br />The Mantis is equipped with a mid-mounted liquid-cooled BLDC motor that is capable of producing 28 hp of power and 93 Nm of peak torque. The F77 on the other hand offers 36.2 hp of power and 85 Nm of peak torque.<br /><br />In terms of performance, the Mantis offers a top speed of 135 km per hour and goes from 0 to 100 km per hour in 8.9 seconds. The F77 is faster with a top speed of 140 km per hour and goes from 0 to 100 in 8.3 seconds.<br /><br />One of the most important things in any electric bike is its battery pack. The Mantis is equipped with an 8.9 kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer a range of 221 km on a single charge. The F77 with its 7.1kWh is claimed to offer 206 km of range on a single charge.<br /><br />The Mantis can be charged from 0 to 80% in 5 hours using the standard 1.3kW charger which is offered with the bike. You can also purchase the 3.3kW charger, which powers the bike from 0 to 80% in 2.5 hours. The details are tricky, but suffice it to say, the game's currency can be exchanged for real-world money, making the stakes even higher for high-flying players.</p><p>"Eve Online" is an extremely popular game with&#xa0;roughly 500,000 subscribers, but it also has&#xa0;a reputation for&#xa0;being particularly cutthroat.&#xa0;</p><p>In 2009, for example, a&#xa0;disgruntled&#xa0;director of an in-game, player-run corporation d<a href="http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/goonswarm-eve-online-great-war">efected to a rival faction, utterly dissolving the company on his way out the door</a>. In the process, the rival faction was able to steal the equivalent of thousands of dollars worth of territory, spaceships, and Isk, Eve's in-game currency. The&#xa0;company says it's a big hit, with "Eve Online" subscribers trending higher since the release launched.&#xa0;</p><h2>Ascension</h2><p>Due to&#xa0;its weird, non-traditional, and non-action-oriented gameplay, "Eve Online" tends to attract an older, more&#xa0;mature player base, Nordgren says.</p><p>Combine that narrower demographic&#xa0;with the rise of the smartphone, the continued dominance of online games like "World of Warcraft," and the continued lure of newer games, Eve&#xa0;has been <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/4ryy0q/eve_average_player_count_now_at_2007_levels_is_it/">steadily losing subscribers over the last few years</a>. Bloomberg also reported that CCP Games, which owns Eve Online, is in talks to&#xa0;<a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-12-09/eve-online-owners-said-to-weigh-game-maker-sale-after-approaches">sell itself for just shy of $1 billion</a>. (CCP declined to comment.)</p><p>To make sure "Eve Online" continues its relevancy into 2017 and beyond, Ascension is a big push from CCP to make it more accessible to a wider audience. While players can still pay a monthly fee of around $15 to get full access to the game, Ascension adds a free-to-play tier.&#xa0;</p><p>Here's a trailer&#xa0;for Ascension:</p><p>More dramatically, "Eve Online: Ascension" totally reinvents the first few hours of the game, putting you at the center of a galactic conflict, and using that tightly-controlled, more cinematic experience to ease you into the game.</p><p>It gives players a taste of those "big battles" right at the outset, Nordgren says, so those people who hear the stories of the game's&#xa0;intense warfare get "more of that same experience that people might expect." Which is good, because otherwise, those players might be in for a rude awakening as to the long journey towards the game's unique&#xa0;brand of epicness.</p><h2>Hello human kindness</h2><p>"Eve Online" is famous for its&#xa0;tremendous learning curve.</p><p>Any player can become a pirate captain, or a trade leader, or a banker, or an admiral. First, though, you have to deal with a lot of tedium, as you deal with what the game's fans sardonically call "<a href="https://blog.lmorchard.com/2016/04/17/spreadsheets-in-space/">spreadsheets in space</a>."&#xa0;</p><p>Despite its reputation, and the vast scale of the simulated space it gives you to explore, "Eve Online" isn't exactly a thrill-a-minute ride for adrenaline junkies. While big space battles, villainous double-crosses, and dramatic last-minute entrances turning the tide of battle do indeed occur, they're few and far between.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Instead, most players build their fortunes through menial jobs, much like the ones available in the real world.&#xa0;<span>The "Eve Online" economy has room for everything from mining to long-haul cargo shipping to courier services to commodities trading. The game is more about managing inventory and monitoring markets than firing the missiles.</span></p><p><span>And since&#xa0;"Eve Online" is mostly&#xa0;a free-market economy, there's always the hazard that a&#xa0;player-run bank will turn out to be a scam, or that your business partner turns out to be a plant for a rival corporation. Players are up against not only the hazards of deep space, but also the worst parts of human nature.</span></p><p><span>Nordgren's team only really steps in to arbitrate in any given conflict if something is truly unfair in a way that totally throws off the entire game. So, if you get scammed, or your expensive ship gets sent to the scrap heap, that's on you.</span></p><p><span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></span></p><p><span>"We think of ourselves as janitors of this world," she says. Sure, this laissez-faire approach might cause some players to quit, she says, but "that's the cost of these epic stories."</span></p><p>In a weird way, though, it's part of why people play the game. The&#xa0;biggest players in "Eve Online" find community and camaraderie in the digital expanses - when everything is so fragile, you start to really appreciate the business ventures and communities&#xa0;you've built together.</p><p>"People are really good at taking care of each other," Nordgren says. "Even in this super hardcore environment, we see so much warmth and humanity."</p><p>And it's a big part of what makes it so addictively dramatic when wars break out or political struggles spill into the public, Nordgren says.
