It then traveled to Jackson Hole in Wyoming and made a couple of stops in Colorado before returning to Ontario on Saturday night. Trump held private fundraisers in both Aspen and Jackson Hole on Saturday. It's unclear whether Trump or anyone on his campaign knew the plane was once owned by Epstein. Her friends also didn't lose out on any money when she decided to have a solo bachelorette trip since they had not put deposits down anywhere before Torres changed her mind.She said she was apprehensive about spending time alone before she went on the trip, as the bachelorette marked her first solo vacation."The first night dinner I was a little nervous," she said, adding that she worried other patrons would judge her for being alone."As soon as I got to the restaurant and I sat down, all of that went away," she said. "I really enjoyed my own company." So there's a lot of time to balance responsibilities and time for yourself.She recommends thinking of the weekend in five chunks: Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night, Sunday day, Sunday night. This can help you time and plan weekend activities and responsibilities.Time-management coach Alexis Haselberger told me that a lot of her clients struggle with relaxation and putting work down.This can be worsened when you schedule an unrealistic responsibility load into your weekend. The outstanding tasks in the back of your mind can make you feel like you didn't have a weekend — and makes you feel bad for not completing it.She recommended making a manageable to-do list and blocking time off to complete the tasks. People can experiment with balancing responsibilities and free time, she said, since creating a fulfilling weekend is so individualized and requires work.Plus, Vanderkam said if you do finish all your tasks — don't go looking for new ones to do.Try something newYou're not really creating new memories while binging Netflix, scrolling TikTok, or chilling around your home. So this can make it feel like you did nothing over the weekend, Haselberger said.She told me that people often think doing these activities will help you decompress from the week — "and it does in the moment, but then it doesn't. "I wasn't finished," he told Insider in a text message last month. "I had the best team best franchisees and an amazing business." Confusion over Rondeau's abrupt departure sent shares for the largest gym network in the US plummeting by 20%, slicing off more than $1 billion in market cap. Meanwhile, the exact reasons behind the board's decision are still unclear. As questions about Rondeau's departure continue to go unanswered, Insider has learned that his hard-partying ways raised eyebrows among some staff. Insider spoke with six former Planet Fitness employees. Some former staffers pointed to drinking in the office and Rondeau asking company staff to withdraw thousands from Rondeau's personal accounts to pay for cash-fueled weekend getaways — even after a lawsuit claimed Planet Fitness suffered from a "debaucherous" alcohol-fueled environment — as red flags. A former employee told Insider she felt the keg was unprofessional, while a former executive assistant defended it, saying the keg was "locked and frequently untouched." In a 2018 <keyword id="23566963" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="workplace-lawsuit" source="keywords">workplace lawsuit</keyword> against Rondeau and other executives, former employee Casey Willard said drinking on the job was encouraged, describing events like "Fireball Fridays" and "Beers with Peers" that sometimes started before 8:30 AM. In court, lawyers for Rondeau denied claims about debauchery but said "some employees periodically consumed alcohol during work hours at certain times." "Everybody drank," a third former employee told Insider. "It was the most toxic, high-school environment." One of the two former employees who recalled a keg being in Rondeau's office said drinking that took place at work wasn't compulsory or disruptive. Willard's lawsuit didn't prompt the keg's removal, either; it remained there even after the lawsuit was filed, one employee said. Former employees also told Insider Rondeau would ask assistants, who were company employees, to obtain thousands of dollars in cash ahead of leisure trips he asked them to coordinate. The former executive assistant for Rondeau said he used the cash, taken from his personal bank accounts, to tip when he went to dinner or to buy coffee from Dunkin Donuts. "He's a generous tipper, there's no denying that," the former executive assistant said, adding that she didn't think the amount of cash Rondeau traveled with was excessive for the CEO of a publicly traded company. Rondeau would travel with thousands of dollars in cash on trips spanning a single weekend, another former employee said. One former employee said these trips often blurred the line between leisure and business. Rondeau would often meet with <keyword id="19956269" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="franchise-owners" source="keywords">franchise owners</keyword> on the trips, people with whom he had both professional and personal relationships, the former employee recalled. Rondeau's separation agreement bars him from contacting any Planet Fitness employees about his employment, except those in the legal or human-resources divisions per his separation agreement, Insider previously reported. A spokesperson for Planet Fitness previously told Insider Rondeau's departure was not because of "any material or unexpected financial events." A September earnings call made shortly before Rondeau's ouster painted an upbeat picture of the company's business prospects — and the company's same-store sales rose nearly 9% last quarter. But the gym's dirt-cheap pricing scheme — just $10 a month to join — had increasingly come under scrutiny as inflation drove up prices. In what would be his final earnings call as CEO, Rondeau said he wouldn't budge on the $10-a-month pricing, saying it would "cheapen the brand." Rondeau was a fixture at Planet Fitness, starting front desk associate at the company's first gym in 1993 and ascending to CEO in 2013 — but his tenure had rough patches. In her workplace lawsuit, Casey Willard said she was drugged and raped by a manager on a work trip and then pressured into a relationship with her boss, Insider previously reported. Willard also said Rondeau and another executive had sexual relationships with subordinates, which they denied in a court filing. Willard and Planet Fitness settled the lawsuit in 2021 for undisclosed terms. Some days are better than others, but I'm always satisfied because I don't have to grocery shop or spend time cooking.As a manager I work 10-hour days and have a three-day weekend, although I sometimes have to adjust for events. It's been a game changer and I don't think I could ever do a five-day workweek. My salary allows me to live comfortably here and even save a little for traveling in my time off.<h2 id="e495bc4f-8b01-4b9d-ae6a-c76f251038c2">I have a built-in community and social life</h2>Every day, I eat breakfast with everyone in the dining room. It's really fun because the second I wake up, I'm around my friends and community.Each day looks a little different, but our job is to host events for around 5,000 Yellowstone employees. There's almost always programming in the evening, like karaoke, volleyball, movie nights, craft nights, and trivia games. People who met two weeks ago will move in together or leave to go to a different park. I've had a lot of friends who met here and got married and now have Yellowstone babies which is cool.But for some, it's the complete opposite.A lot of people have "Yellowstone flings," where you know when the season ends you'll go your separate ways. I will sometimes meet someone and hang out with them, and then they leave, and I want to stay. I still think it's a great place to meet people because everyone is like-minded. People want to travel, work seasonally, and live this adventurous life. But it's also really hard and usually doesn't work out unless you're both ready to leave.In general, there's turnover every three to six months, and that's just <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/living-in-vail-colorado-working-ski-resort-2024-3">the nature of seasonal work</a>. So, I have had to say goodbye to one friend group after another. AAA said the shift is driven in part by inflation, which has made trips abroad 11% more expensive.Griffin said he's spoken to consumers who are paying closer attention to their options when it comes to making travel more affordable and that includes rethinking how to travel domestically, like by taking <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/road-trip-destinations-families-hidden-gems-usa-2024-8">road trips</a>.<a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/research/survey-road-trip-expenses/">Experian survey data</a> from May found that 71% of consumers surveyed felt that inflation impacted their road trip plans. The survey respondents included 1,008 insured drivers, who, on average, said they expected to spend more than $1,000 on road trip expenses. Gas, lodging, and food were the expenses respondents expected to spend the most on during their trip.Griffin said there are various ways consumers say they are cutting back on <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/road-trip-food-stops-in-every-state">road trip</a> costs, from opting for less expensive hotels to packing lunches rather than stopping for every meal to taking group trips that enable cost splitting.Some Americans are also taking trips that aren't as far away in order to save on gas but still get quality family time in."People are looking at, not a staycation, but a closer to home vacation, as opposed to going cross country" in order to save on fuel and lodging, he said.In some cases, like if you are a couple traveling in an area with higher gas prices, it may even be cheaper to fly rather than drive, so weighing those options is another way to ensure you're opting for the most affordable option.Travel-minded Americans can also focus on the bigger picture of their finances in order to out aside more money for travel, Griffin said. For families who rely on road trips, keeping up with car maintenance can avoid costly and unexpected vacation expenses.Experian said three out of four surveyed consumers said they were worried about car insurance rates increasing, so Griffin said another option is to shop around for lower rates, noting that Experian has an insurance marketplace that can be used."Reduce overall costs that affect that budget in the long term," he said.Americans can also focus on utilizing their credit card points or actively seeking out a credit card that comes with rewards for common <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/us-consumer-spending-international-travel-entertainment-surge-savings-2024-3">travel expenses.</a>The key thing to saving money on road trips is to plan ahead, Griffin said, and to set a budget and stick with it.
