New Delhi [India], July 19 (ANI): <keyword id="19899016" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Vodafone-Idea" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Vodafone Idea" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Vodafone Idea">Vodafone Idea</keyword> approved the allotment of more than <keyword id="22467816" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="40-crore-shares" source="Orion">40 crore shares</keyword> on a preferential basis to <keyword id="6354716" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nokia" source="Orion">Nokia</keyword> Solutions and Networks India and to <keyword id="330957" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ericsson-India" source="Orion">Ericsson India</keyword>, the company informed the exchange in a filing. The company stated that this preferential allotment is in accordance with SEBI's regulations which totals around <keyword id="22467815" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rs-615-crore" source="keywords">Rs 615 crore</keyword> and represents a strategic move to enhance the company's capital base. According to the statement by the company, the breakdown includes around 25 crore <keyword id="20035340" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-shares" source="keywords">equity shares</keyword> to Nokia Solutions and Networks India Pvt. and over 15 crore equity shares to Ericsson India Pvt. The issue price per equity share was set at Rs. 14.80, including a premium of Rs. 4.80 per share at a face value of Rs 10 per share. "The Capital Raising Committee of the Board ("Capital Raising Committee") has, at its meeting, approved the second tranche of allotment of 41,52,02,701 Equity Shares of face value of Rs. 10/- each at an issue price of Rs. 14.80 per equity share (including a premium of Rs. 4.80 per equity share), to Nokia Solutions and Networks India Private Limited (25,67,56,756 Equity Shares) and Ericsson India Private Limited (15,84,45,945 Equity Shares), aggregating to Rs. 614.5 crores, on a preferential basis" said the company. Recently, Vodafone Idea (<keyword id="634808" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="VIL" source="Orion">VIL</keyword>) added 0.8 million mobile broadband (MBB) subscribers in May, but the company continued to see declines in both overall and active subscriber bases, losing 0.9 million and 1.7 million subscribers, respectively. The shares of Vodafone Idea closed at Rs 16.32 after a decline of more than 2 per cent on Thursday.

According to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC), the growth in sales was recorded due to online festival sales which began early this year. “The e-tail sales, which typically start around the second week of October, began in late September, leading to a surge in PC shipments,” said Bharath Shenoy, Research Manager, IDC India &amp; South Asia. In Q3 2024, desktops recorded an 8.1% year-on-year decline, notebooks recorded a 2.8% year-on-year growth and workstations recorded a 2.4% year-on-year growth. Premium notebooks priced above $1,000 recorded a 7.6% year-on-year growth. “Brands capitalized on e-tail sales by offering steep discounts, cashback, and bundled accessories. Many of them also matched similar pricing in their brand stores and offline channels like Larger Format Retail stores (LFRs), leading to the second biggest consumer quarter in history,” Shenoy added. Reliance Jio IPO – Mukesh Ambani-led telco might be gearing up for India’s biggest IPO

Just ahead of its mega <keyword id="20008249" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="FPO" source="keywords">FPO</keyword> opening to <keyword id="21332860" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="public-investors" source="keywords">public investors</keyword>, <keyword id="19899016" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vodafone-Idea" source="keywords">Vodafone Idea</keyword> (<keyword id="20062540" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="vil" source="keywords">VIL</keyword>) has announced closure of its anchor book allocation, raising about Rs 5,400 crore from marquee global as well as domestic investors, according to a statutory filing by the <keyword id="20132985" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="telco" source="keywords">telco</keyword>. This could be the third-largest anchor book after One 97 Communications and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). One 97 Communications and LIC had raised Rs 8,235 crore and Rs 5,627 crore in the anchor round, respectively. In a notification to the exchanges on Wednesday, VIL said it has allotted 490.9 crore shares to 74 funds at Rs 11 apiece, which is also the upper end of the price band. This translated into a transaction size to Rs 5,400 crore. Of the total allocation to <keyword id="21330641" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="anchor-investors" source="keywords">anchor investors</keyword>, 79.52 crore stocks, or 16.2 per cent of the total, were allocated to five domestic mutual fund through a total of 11 schemes. Those who were allotted shares include GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund, Fidelity, UBS Fund Management, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Australian Super, Troo Capital, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, and Jupiter Fund Management. Additionally, domestic investors, including Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, SBI General Insurance and Quant Mutual Fund, were allocated shares in the anchor round. The Rs 18,000-crore FPO of Vodafone Idea will open for public subscription on April 18 and conclude on April 22, marking the biggest FPO in the country. The price band has been set at Rs 10-11 per share. Prior to this, the largest FPO in the Indian market was a Rs 15,000 crore share-sale by YES Bank in 2020. The fundraise would give the ailing telco the firepower to improve its positioning in the Indian telecom market, where it currently trails larger rivals such as Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, by a wide margin. Its limited resources have forced the telco to focus investments in its core circles and reduce capex as much as possible. This is evident from the fact that Vodafone Idea has undertaken refarming 2G and 3G spectrum to 4G to minimize costs and enhance its capacities. Takkar also said he hopes 5G will be at a premium to 4G, but that would also likely mean users will get higher data allowances to make up for it. VI betting on tariff hike as it lost over $10 million every day in Q1 FY23

And, the implied cost of this conversion is ₹10 a share, a 32% discount on Monday’s (January 10) closing price. With this, the Indian government will now hold a 35.8% stake in the company. The promoters – Vodafone Plc., and Aditya Birla Group – will hold 28.5% and 17.5% stake, respectively. This is down from the current shareholding of 44.39% and 27.66%, respectively. At the interbank foreign exchange market, the local unit opened at 83.45 and gained further to 83.44 against the greenback, registering a rise of 5 paise from its previous close. On Friday, the rupee settled at 83.49 against the US dollar. According to CR Forex Advisors MD Amit Pabari the Reserve Bank of India (<keyword id="19899808" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="RBI" source="keywords">RBI</keyword>) seems determined to prevent the rupee from depreciating below 83.70. Even with pressure from oil companies due to elevated oil prices. "Overall, positive economic indicators such as a good growth rate, stable inflation, a reduced fiscal deficit, record-high RBI forex reserves, and a pipeline of inflows are all supportive factors that should ideally bolster the rupee," Pabari said, adding that given these factors, the rupee is expected to trade within a broad range of 83.20 to 83.70 levels. Meanwhile, the dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading at 104.86, lower by 0.01 per cent. Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, declined 0.03 per cent to USD 86.51 per barrel. On the domestic macroeconomic front, India's forex reserves dropped USD 1.713 billion to USD 651.997 billion for the week ended June 28, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Friday. For context, while Vodafone Idea lost nearly 1.96 million subscribers per month in FY22 and FY23, Airtel added an average of 0.8 million subscribers per month while Jio added 0.3 million subscribers per month. Return on invested capital, or ROIC, is a financial metric that measures a company’s ability to efficiently allocate assets to profitable ventures. Airtel is expected to take the lead in two other critical metrics – ARPU and ROIC. Its ARPU is expected to rise to ₹250 by FY27, while Jio is expected to remain in the second place at ₹235. Airtel, not Jio, to gain the most from Vodafone Idea's troubles

This is Tata Motors’ second consecutive profitable quarter, after it posted losses for seven consecutive quarters since Q4 FY21. The profit this quarter is driven by growth in domestic sales and improved performance at its British subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover. Total revenue from operations grew 35% YoY to ₹1.06 lakh crore in the fourth quarter as against ₹78,439 crore in the year-ago period, it added. On a standalone basis, the automaker reported a net profit of ₹2,696 crore for the period under review as against ₹413 crore in the fourth quarter of 2022-22. For the year ended March 31, 2023, the auto major reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,414 crore as compared with a net loss of ₹11,441 crore in FY22. Total consolidated revenue stood at ₹3.46 lakh crore in the period under review as against ₹2.78 lakh crore in 2021-22 fiscal. “The year ended on a strong note with all automotive verticals delivering robust performances leading to multiple all-time high achievements. Tata Motors posts net profit of ₹5,408 crore in Q4, beats estimates

Grand Theft Auto VI publisher's stock falls after first trailer reveals the video game won't come out until 2025

<ul><li>Vijay Shekhar Sharma-led <keyword id="6357120" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="paytm" source="Orion">Paytm</keyword> today revealed that its average loan ticket size has surged by over 21% in the September quarter. </li><li>The company, whose shares are down by over two-thirds from its issue price of ₹2,150 since debuting in November last year, disbursed over 1 lakh loans every day during the quarter. </li><li>Reacting to the news, Paytm’s shares gained even as the broader markets were in the red on weak global cues. </li></ul>Paytm today reported a 21% quarterly growth in its average loan ticket size from ₹6,551 to ₹7,956 in the September quarter. It also disbursed over 1 lakh loans per day during the period, the company said in an exchange filing. The Vijay Shekhar Sharma-led company has reported that its pace of loan disbursals has increased from the previous quarter. At this rate, it would end up issuing loans worth ₹34,000 crore by the end of FY23, up from the ₹24,000 crore as estimated in the previous quarter. Apart from this, Paytm also reported healthy growth in its offline payments business. The total devices deployed increased from 3.8 million in Q1 to 4.8 million in Q2. It is worth noting that this number includes the point-of-sales and soundbox devices only, not the dynamic QR codes that merchants can additionally deploy. Despite a healthy growth in devices deployed, the gross merchandise value, or GMV – which is essentially the value of total transactions carried out through these devices – registered a relatively slower growth. Sequentially, on a per user basis, the GMV was barely up, too, with an increase of a meager 0.7%, down from the 8.2% surge reported in the previous quarter.
