Parriott makes similar <a href="https://www.insider.com/patrick-dempsey-terrorizing-set-before-greys-anatomy-exit-report-2021-9">comments about Dempsey's behavior</a>, saying the actor was often "terrorizing the set." </p><p>"Some cast members had all sorts of PTSD with him," Parriott adds. "He had this hold on the set where he knew he could stop production and scare people."</p><p>Dempsey has never directly commented about any allegations regarding his behavior on set. However, her date turns out to be Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop), the CEO of the food company where Ha-ri works — and even worse, he's determined to marry her to get his meddling grandfather out of his dating life.</p><p><strong>Why you'll like it: </strong>For a healthy dose of trope-y, K-drama goodness (this time with a cast of adults), this is your pick. "Business Proposal" is slightly more mature than "XO, Kitty," but it has the same goofy spirit — on top of, frankly, one of the hottest kisses (<a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL59Hs7x5tI">spoilers</a>!) ever seen on television. Its 10 episodes are well-worth your time, if you're looking to while away a weekend with some delightful, soapy drama.</p><p>"Business Proposal" is streaming on Netflix.</p><h2>3. Representatives for Washington did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment. </p><p>Washington concluded his tweet by saying the 2022 film "Corsicana" will likely be his last and that he may post pictures from his "retirement shenanigans here and there."</p><p>However, he appears to have had a change of heart since then.</p><p>On Thursday, Washington launched a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/bass-reeves-movie-project-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GoFundMe</a>, asking people to donate toward his $1 million independent movie project. </p><p>"After seeing the incredible positive response to my recent announcement of retirement from the entertainment industry on social media, it became clear that I have been operating outside of the traditional Hollywood system successfully for the last 15 year's," Washington wrote. </p><p>He said if five million people donate $1, he will have "more than enough capital" to fund a film about Bass Reeves, who was one of the first deputy US marshals of African descent, according to <a href="https://www.britannica.com/biography/Bass-Reeves" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Britannica.</a> Washington added that he would play the titular character. </p><p>"I'm asking for an initial 1 million dollars in support and my ultimate goal is 5 million. <ul class="summary-list"><li>Warning: There are spoilers ahead for "Grey's Anatomy."</li><li>A recent episode ended with a car crashing into Addison and a pregnant trainee.</li></ul><p>A recent "<a href="https://www.insider.com/category/greys-anatomy">Grey's Anatomy"</a> episode, which culminated in a shocking car crash, was originally intended to end a bit differently.</p><p>"In my mind, I had designed it where I would do the crane shot, which is above Addison, and just sort of pull up all of you with that shot," episode director and series' star Kim Raver, who plays Dr. Teddy Altman on the ABC drama, told fans at a Saturday PaleyFest panel for the show, attended by Insider.  </p><p>Season 19, episode 11, "Training Day," focuses on women's reproductive health as Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) joined Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to train staff at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital's reproductive healthcare clinic to the dismay of anti-abortion protestors. </p><p>The episode ends with Addison and a pregnant clinic trainee bonding. The trainee drops her books and notes all over the road. As Addison kneels down to help, Bailey catches sight of a car. The episode slows down as Bailey tries to warn them both of the oncoming vehicle.</p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy Addison car crash" height="1253" width="1200" msid="99202160" hostid="261"></div><p>The trainee takes the full force of the car while Addison falls off to the side. Instead of the camera simply pulling out on Addison, we focus on Bailey as she processes the events that just unfolded in front of her.</p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy 1911, Bailey" height="1298" width="1200" msid="99202161" hostid="261"></div><p>As she directs orders the dialogue becomes almost indiscernible, as if you're underwater, making the viewer feel like they're experiencing the trauma alongside Bailey in a fight-or-flight moment. </p><p>While the episode could've worked ending on an overhead shot of the scene, it closes on a cliffhanger with Bailey listening to Addison to see if she's breathing. </p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy Miranda Bailey" height="1534" width="2838" msid="99202162" hostid="261"></div><p>During an hour-long panel at the annual TV festival, which included 15 cast members and showrunner Krista Vernoff, moderator (and former "Greys" star) T.R. Knight asked Raver about "the most challenging part" of bringing the unsettling sequence to life.</p><p>For six minutes, Raver detailed the work that goes from being a cast member to one of the show's directors. Fans may be surprised to learn how bare bones the scene started out on paper. </p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy PaleyFest 2023 panel" height="1551" width="3600" msid="99202163" hostid="261"></div><p>"When I looked at that in the script it says, 'They cross the street and they get hit by a car,'" Raver recalled. "I was like, 'OK, first of all, 'Why are we in the middle of the street?'"</p><p>Raver considered how she would approach the moment if she was an actor in that scene to help make it believable. </p><p>"I kept thinking of all the things that I knew that I would question the director and trying to justify it. So I really had to kind of design it so that I could justify why they were in the middle of the road and hit one person but not the other, which how do you do when a car is barreling down towards them? So, it kind of became this amazing Rubik's cube." </p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy car crash" height="1450" width="2786" msid="99202164" hostid="261"></div><p>In developing the look and feel of the scene, Raver said she was inspired by how another hit show, in which she starred, approached storytelling.</p><p>"I wanted to do a moment, which was sort of a little bit reminiscent of a show I did, '24,' where there's a moment of calm, where you think the storm's passed and everything is fine and everyone is safe, and then out of nowhere this horrific moment happens to kind of take you by surprise again so that you lean in and come to the next episode," Raver said of the episode's final seconds.</p><p>After coming up with the idea of a crane shot to originally end the episode, Raver said another idea took root in her mind as they were filming.</p><p>"When I was watching the camera, all of the actors had to run… and our incredible Chandra Wilson, she leaned down and I had her face and I took a screenshot of it and all of a sudden it came to me that I wanted that to be the end of the show," Raver said of the aha moment. </p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy 1911" height="1422" width="2810" msid="99202165" hostid="261"></div><p>"I had been telling this whole story of women's reproductive rights through the eyes of Bailey," Raver continued. "The violence of what's happening was coming out in that moment where she was a doctor, but yet a person and worried… I thought I was gonna end it with the crane shot pulling away, but then in production, seeing Chandra's face, leaning over and listening for Addison's breath sounds just was so moving to me."</p><p>The only problem was Raver said she didn't know "the right technical terms" to describe exactly what she pictured in her mind for the scene.</p><p>"I just said it's gotta be like whoosh," Raver said to a laugh from the crowd while explaining just how hard it can be to describe and translate the vision in your head to another person to bring it to fruition.</p><p>"And the editor was like, 'Like whoosh?" Raver said of the editor not fully comprehending what she desired. </p><p>So Raver made another attempt. This time describing her vision as, 'Yes, you know, it's in slow-motion and I kinda feel like underwater. It's like, 'Whoa,'" Raver said, stretching out the last word to even larger laughter from the crowd. </p><div type="image" title="Grey's Anatomy PaleyFest 2023 panel" height="3942" width="4960" msid="99202167" hostid="261"></div><p>"I want it to be like sea kelp underwater," Raver said, adding that her descriptions of what she wanted for the final episode shot continued to get "more and more bizarre" as she made a wave motion with her body, demonstrating how she tried to get her vision across to come up with that last shot.</p><p>Raver told the PaleyFest crowd the entire directing experience was "exhilarating" with everyone making sure she was set up for success. Near the start of the panel Wilson mentioned that one of the things she loves about "Grey's" is how the director pool is made up of people who have been on the show in any capacity, creating a supportive environment.</p><p>Wilson mentioned that Knight shadowed her while directing an episode in his pursuit to want to direct in the future. On this season alone, three additional "Grey's Anatomy" actors have directed episodes, including Debbie Allen, Jesse Williams, and Kevin McKidd. </p><p><em>Episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursday on ABC at 9 p.m. before streaming on Hulu the following day.</em></p>

<ul class="summary-list"><li>FTX's financial woes are likely to transform the crypto industry, JPMorgan strategists said.</li><li>They predicted a wave of margin calls, and a shortage of industry saviors.</li></ul><p>The FTX fiasco threatens to wreak havoc on cryptocurrency firms and transform how they're run, JPMorgan strategists have said.</p><p>It's also likely to send the price of bitcoin down 25%, and create a dearth of saviors for struggling firms, they predicted.</p><p>Crypto players are likely fielding demands from lenders to put up more collateral, and some may collapse under the pressure, a team led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou said in a research note on Wednesday.</p><p>"It looks likely that a new cascade of margin calls, deleveraging and crypto company/platform failures is starting," the Wall Street analysts said.</p><p>They underscored the close links between Sam Bankman-Fried's digital-asset exchange FTX, his trading firm Alameda Research, and the wider crypto space.</p><p>Concerns about FTX's financial health have sparked the equivalent of a bank run in recent days, forcing Bankman-Fried to reach out for help. Binance initially agreed to acquire his company, but the leading crypto exchange backed out after reviewing FTX's finances, <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/binance-ftx-sam-bankman-fried-cryptocurrency-rescue-deal-alameda-ftt-2022-11">reports say</a>.</p><p>Bankman-Fried had been heralded as the white knight of crypto, and even compared to Warren Buffett, who <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/warren-buffett-berkshire-hathaway-goldman-sachs-sale-billions-return-bailout-2020-5-1029212109">injected much-needed cash</a> into <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/warren-buffett-loaned-300-million-harley-davidson-2009-financial-crisis-2020-6-1029306090#:~:text=Warren%20Buffett%20lent%20a%20little,crunch%20during%20the%20financial%20crisis.">several ailing companies</a> during the last financial crisis. However, the FTX boss now appears to be the one in need of aid, leaving few obvious candidates to serve as industry saviors.</p><p>"The number of entities with stronger balance sheets able to rescue those with low capital and high leverage is shrinking within the crypto ecosystem," the JPMorgan strategists said.</p><p>The sudden onset of problems at FTX, which had appeared to be in rude financial health, came as a surprise. That "creates a confidence crisis and reduces the appetite of other crypto companies to come to the rescue," the team said.</p><p>Panigirtzoglou and his colleagues suggested it could take several weeks for the crypto turmoil to settle down, unless FTX is quickly rescued. <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/currencies/btc-usd">Bitcoin</a> has already plunged 65% to below $17,000 this year, and could bottom out around $13,000, they said.</p><p>"With the crypto market cap standing at just above $1tr before the FTX/Alameda Research collapse, our guess is that the crypto market will find a floor above $500bn in the current deleveraging phase," they added.</p><p>A positive outcome from the current chaos could be a safer, more transparent crypto ecosystem, the JPMorgan analysts believe.</p><p>Its team predicted crypto players will face more pressure from investors and regulators to disclose their finances, protect client assets, and diversify their portfolios. They first came out as queer and bisexual in 2016.  </p><div type="image" title="Sara Ramirez" height="1387" width="1200" msid="77837663" hostid="261"></div><h2>The nonbinary identity has increased visibility</h2><p>Nonbinary is a gender identity, which is <a href="https://www.insider.com/janelle-monae-what-does-non-binary-mean-2020-1">different from sexual orientation and the sex people are assigned to at birth</a>. </p><p>It means identifying as a gender other than male and female, and sometimes identifying as neither or a mixture of both genders at the same time, according to the <a href="https://transequality.org/issues/resources/understanding-non-binary-people-how-to-be-respectful-and-supportive">National Center for Transgender Equality.</a></p><p>People who are nonbinary may go by the pronouns "they/them" rather than "he/she." </p><p>The nonbinary identity is increasingly visible, with a January 2019 <a href="https://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2019/01/17/generation-z-looks-a-lot-like-millennials-on-key-social-and-political-issues/psdt_1-17-19_generations-02/">Pew Research survey</a> finding that a third of teens and people in their early 20s know someone who uses such gender-neutral pronouns.</p><p>Janelle Monae came out as nonbinary in January and other <keyword id="6412373" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="celebrities">celebrities</keyword>, including Indya Moore and Sam Smith, are nonbinary.
