All new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is here with a refined design and a new engine

In a patriarchal society, women are told to cook and feed the family and stay confined within the four walls. So much so, they are told to cover their faces and remain under a veil. However, Roshni Misbah has smashed all these <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=stereotypes+&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">stereotypes </a>and has carved a niche for herself. 
 
Even in today’s world, when most men frown upon the idea of women riding bikes, 22-year-old Misbah is teaching them a thing or a two. Well, this doesn’t mean she is not following her religious beliefs. Misbah attracts eyeballs as she rides a bike wearing a hijab. 
 
 
 
“My bike doesn’t know my gender. It only knows that a person is riding it, irrespective of the gender,” says Misbah. She is currently pursuing Arab Islamic Culture at <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Jamia+Millia+Islamia&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Jamia Millia Islamia</a> in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=New+Delhi&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">New Delhi</a>. 
 
 
 
Misbah rode a bike for the first time when she was in the ninth standard. “I always had a thing for bikes. The sound of the exhaust would make me go gaga and I just loved it,” she said.

Initially, she tried her hand on her friend’s and her father’s motorcycle for years, but then after getting into Jamia, Misbah bought her first bike- Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220. But that wasn’t enough, in a few months, Misbah was talking to the wind and driving at 100kmph and that was when she decided to upgrade. 
 
“I bought the Avenger thinking that I will improve my riding and will use it for at least two years, but before I could even notice, I was talking to the wind and that’s when I bought the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Royal+Enfield&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Royal Enfield Bullet</a>,” said Misbah. 
 
 
 
When asked about her motivation, she said that her father, who is also a badass rider, was her motivation and she has been following his footsteps. 
 
“I feel riding is in my genes. My father taught me how to ride and has supported me in pursuing my passion. I really don’t care about the society and what they think and as long as I am happy and doing what I want to,” said the biker. 
 
 
 
However, she doesn’t like people calling her as the ‘Hijabi Biker’ as religion has nothing to what she is doing. 
 
“Religion is a part of me and riding is my passion. People are just mixing these two up and I really can’t understand why,” she said. 
 
 
 
Misbah wants to do a PhD in Arab culture, help her father in the family business, and continue to ride motorcycles. She has already set her sights on her next steed, a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Triumph&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Triumph</a> rocket 2300 cc.

Two-wheeler maker <keyword id="169970" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Eicher-Motors-Ltd">Eicher Motors Ltd</keyword> on Thursday said customers can now choose to personalise and accessorise their Royal Enfield motorcycles at the time of purchase. In a statement issued here, the company said it has rolled out the first of its kind motorcycle personalisation service - The Royal Enfield Make-It-Yours - MiY. The Royal Enfield is the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors rolling out bikes like Bullet, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and others. According to the company, the MiY is enabled via an app based 3-D configurator will allow buyers to access to various possible combinations in personalistion options at the time of booking the motorcycle. Once the order is placed through the app, the buyers will also know the probable delivery time. According to Vinod K. Dasari, CEO, Royal Enfield, with MiY, customers will have a "little bit of them" built into the motorcycle, and depending on the level of personalisation, motorcycles will be custom-made as per consumer specifications, within 24 to 48 hours, at the Chennai plant. "We will be rolling out MiY for all our motorcycles, across all our stores in the country in a phased manner. All new motorcycle models from Royal Enfield, from here on, will come with the MiY feature," he said. Initially the MiY will be available for models like Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

In my experiences with hardcore bikers, I've met three main breeds - the Cruiser, the Racer and the Lover. The Cruiser loves to take it easy. Biking is like meditation to him. He kicks off his Bullet/Avenger, gets some wind in the hair, and loves road trips. The Racer loves speed, on the streets or in a circuit. The red line calls him, and if given the option, he'll start his <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Duke+390&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Duke 390</a>/ <keyword id="2995233" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Yamaha-R3">Yamaha R3</keyword> in 4th gear. Just kidding. 
 
While the love for two-wheelers is a constant across bikers, the Lover is a different league altogether when it comes to bikes. He treats it as an extension of himself. He eats, sleeps and essentially lives in his garage. He dreams of building his own bike from scratch some day, and has a level of faith and dedication that can put many lifelong marriages to shame. While that's all fine, custom biking is an expensive addiction.

6 Affordable Custom Bikes you'll surely fall for

<keyword id="94237" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Royal-Enfield">Royal Enfield</keyword> recently launched a limited edition of bikes, gears and accessories inspired by the 'despatch riders' from the World Wars. These will only be available online. 
 
The ‘despatch riders’ conveyed critical information between headquarters and ground forces during the World Wars 
 According to media reports, the limited edition range based on the <keyword id="94215" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Classic-500">Classic 500</keyword> model would only have 600 units manufactured. This includes 200 units of each of the three colours. Add to that gears and accessories like leather jackets and shoes with ankle guards. 
 
"These bikes can be booked online from our gear stores and deliveries would begin by July 15," Siddhartha Lal, CEO, Royal Enfield told reporters. 
 
 The company plans to sell these in domestic and 50 international markets. 
 
"We currently have around 400 outlets across the country. We sell gear and accessories from 250 of these outlets. By the end of the year we plan to have around 500 total outlets and we aim to sell gear from around 400 outlets", Lal said. 
 
The Chennai-based firm currently sells several models including the Bullet, Classic and Thunderbird.

Royal Enfield launches limited edition World War military bike range

<keyword id="596" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="hyundai" source="Orion">Hyundai</keyword> Motor on Monday launched the N brand's first all-electric model, the Ioniq 5 N, in the domestic market as it accelerates its transition to a future mobility solutions provider. The Ioniq 5 N, first unveiled at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed in Great Britain in July, comes with an 84 kWh battery pack and can accelerate from zero to 100 kph in 3.4 seconds, the company said in a statement. The new model represents a new segment of driver-focused high-performance EVs since it boasts advanced cornering and racetrack capabilities as an everyday sportscar, reports Yonhap news agency. It is priced at $58,000 after individual consumption taxes and tax benefits given to environment-friendly vehicles. It can travel about 350 kms on a single charge, the statement said. Ioniq 5 N combines the standard Ioniq 5 model's electric global modular platform (E-GMP) with N's motorsport-bred technologies. E-GMP is Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated EV platform. Hyundai's Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 are built on the E-GMP platform, with the same platform-based Ioniq 7 set to be released next year. Hyundai's independent Genesis brand's GV60 SUV, and its smaller affiliate Kia Corp.'s EV6 and EV9 SUVs also share the E-GMP platform. The maker of Sonata sedans and <keyword id="141245" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="santa-fe" source="Orion">Santa Fe</keyword> SUVs plans to invest 109.4 trillion won by 2032 to secure a leading position in the global future mobility market, while aiming to sell 1 million pure electric models by 2030. Hyundai's first dedicated EV factory, the 300,000-unit-a-year Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia, the U.S., is under construction with a goal to start operations in the second half of 2024. Another EV-dedicated plant is being built in Korea with the aim of starting production in 2025. The N models bring full performance capability to daily driving, while the <keyword id="10035310" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="n-line" source="Orion">N Line</keyword> brings performance-inspired elements to base model vehicles. The N Line models sit between Hyundai's high-performance N brand and the general Hyundai brand. Hyundai launches N brand's 1st EV model Ioniq 5 N

Colombo, <keyword id="2064892" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ishan-kishan" source="Orion">Ishan Kishan</keyword> is a compelling package - a hard-hitting left-hander who can bat anywhere from top to No. 5 and a capable presence behind the wickets. It was a natural ascension for <keyword id="282" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="kishan" source="Orion">Kishan</keyword> when he was included in India's World Cup squad as the second wicketkeeper batsman behind <keyword id="6355454" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="kl-rahul" source="Orion">KL Rahul</keyword>. However, his journey to the top has not always been a rosy one. Kishan had to shift from Patna to Ranchi in search of better cricketing facilities. "He is a fighter from a very young age, and was clear in his career as a cricketer. His practice nets (SAIL grounds) were very close to MS Dhoni's house, and he always wanted to follow Mahi bhai's footsteps, and keeps watching his videos. "Luckily for him the JSCA Stadium, where they have turf wickets, was opened in 2013, and it helped him a lot to develop his game," said Monu Kumar, the Jharkhand pacer and a close friend of Kishan. It is easy to mistake Kishan for a clone of Dhoni - a destructive batter who keeps wickets, and both of them come from the same state. But there is more to Kishan than being a mere Dhoni progeny. Former India stumper Kiran More, who has worked with Kishan since 2018 at the NCA as well as at the Mumbai Indians, shared more details about the many contours of his ward's game. "He is a natural at everything he does. I was at the NCA for a wicketkeepers' camp and Kishan had others like <keyword id="956633" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="sanju-samson" source="Orion">Sanju Samson</keyword> in his batch. Kishan was so athletic and he had such soft hands even at that age," More told PTI. More said he did not have to tweak Kishan's game much, and just had to make some minor corrections. "He came with a naturally good game. I had to tell him a bit about his head and squatting positions. We also worked a bit on his ball collection and a few other minor techniques. "Later, we worked on the same things a bit more during my time at the Mumbai Indians. What stands out is his ability to adapt and willingness to learn," said More. Those abilities came to the fore when he was asked to bat at No. 5, a first in his nascent career, during the Asia Cup match against Pakistan last week here at Pallekele. Kishan fully exploited the opportunity handed to him making a fluent 82 off 81 balls. More was pleased to see the development of Kishan as a genuine wicket-keeper batter. "Yes, I am sure he will make an impact for India. He is a long-term player and you will not get such players very often. "Kishan being a left-hander will add more variety to the Indian batting order, you know that left-right combination...a dream for any team management," said More. Kishan's knock against Pakistan was all the more important because it came against a top-class bowling unit and India were struggling at 66 for 4 at one stage. Kishan's innings offered little surprise to Mumbai Indians assistant batting coach and former Karnataka batter J Arunkumar. "Many times, we only see one side of his (Kishan's) batting because he is such a fabulous hitter of the ball. But there is more to his batting than that eye-catching shot-making. "He is calm and collected under any situation. That mature head is his biggest asset," said Arunkumar. More agreed to the point. "Yes! He still has a long way to go. But he gives India a brilliant option, and Kishan is quite handy at any batting slot. "Now, we have four excellent wicketkeeper batters - Pant, Rahul, Kishan and Samson. It is a good thing to have this kind of pool of quality players," he added.
