Now, its affordable sibling is on its way. The device has been listed on <a href="https://www.amazon.in/b/ref=as_li_ss_tl?node=19038493031&amp;linkCode=sl2">Amazon India</a> with a ‘Notify Me’ button, and is exclusively for the e-commerce portal. The device is expected to be priced around ₹14,000. Specifications of Nokia 6.2 The Nokia 6.2 runs on Android 9.0 Pie and is a part of the Android One initiative, which means users will get the stock android experience and the latest updates from Google first. It features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with a waterdrop notch. It also supports PureDisplay and HDR10 technologies. It has a dedicated Pixelworks visual processor which enables it to upscale video content to HDR in real time. Nokia 6.2 is powered by the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. The device will have three variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The internal storage could be expanded to 5,12GB with a microSD card. Coming to its most-prized camera functions, Nokia 6.2 has a triple camera setup on the back. But it comes without Zeiss optics here. It has a 16-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the Nokia 6.2 has an 8-megapixel camera with Zeiss optics. The Nokia 6.2 is powered by a 3,500mAh battery. Its connectivity options include a dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

Glasstic here means a combination of glass and plastic, for the outer shell of the phone. Sadly, the phone’s back scratches easily, and a few days of use has already left a few noticeable scratches on the back. Unfortunately, Samsung has not included a case in the box, so you will have to buy one yourself. <div type="image" title="Samsung Galaxy F62 back" msid="81084383" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Samsung Galaxy F62 comes with a glasstic back.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The Galaxy F62 joins a growing list of phones that have the fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button on the left. Some other phones which use the same approach are the Galaxy M31s, the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max, among others. <div type="image" title="Samsung Galaxy F62 side" msid="81084394" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Samsung Galaxy F62 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> Overall, the design and build quality are good, except for the easily scratchable back. Display The Galaxy F62 comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, with Full HD+ resolution just like the one on the Galaxy M51. It is bright, crisp and also supports Widevine L1 certification, which is needed if you want to stream content in Full HD resolution. However, it is a 60Hz panel, unlike the OnePlus Nord which comes with a 90Hz display. In my usage, the phone was readable even under direct sunlight. It has a hole punch notch on the top that houses the selfie camera. Software Samsung packs in plenty of features with its custom skin One UI. The Galaxy F62 comes with Android 11 and One UI 3.1 out of the box – both being the latest versions currently available. You can start using the Galaxy F62 out of the box without any customization and you will still appreciate the balance Samsung has struck in terms of ease of use and power features like the Edge panel that houses shortcuts. If that is not enough, you can customise the phone to your heart’s content by going into the Settings and playing with the options available. Overall, Samsung’s One UI skin offers a great balance between simplicity, performance and customizability. Performance and battery life The Galaxy F62 is powered by the Exynos 9825 chipset that promises to deliver fast performance, rivalling its competitors or even exceeding them. It is paired with up to 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage. In my tests, I found that the Galaxy F62 delivers smooth performance in regular usage. There were no noticeable lags or stutters in apps, browsing the internet or using the camera. Even while playing games, the performance was smooth for the most part – but after extended sessions of gaming, the phone did heat up a bit, which is fairly normal for most phones. In terms of battery life, it has a massive 7,000mAh battery that refuses to die out in a single day. With normal usage, I could easily complete two days on a single charge, which is impressive no matter what. The downside of this big battery is the weight – at 218 grams, the Galaxy F62 can seem a bit heavy, but it’s easy to get adjusted once you use it for a while. The colour reproduction is accurate and the photos have a good amount of detail. It has been priced aggressively in a segment that is increasingly getting crowded. What helps the F62 set itself apart is the software, performance, battery life and arguably, even the cameras. The overall package that Samsung has delivered here means the Galaxy F62 is worth considering if you are looking for a phone under ₹25,000. Samsung Galaxy F62 review – the new mid-range killer

New Delhi, Dec 18 () HMD Global, which sells Nokia brand of mobile phones, on Wednesday announced the launch of Nokia 2.3 smartphone in the Indian market priced at Rs 8,199.
 The device was unveiled in Cairo earlier this month and, will compete with smartphones from the stables of players like Xiaomi, Infinix and realme.
 "Nokia 2 series has been one of our most successful franchises in the accessible segment in India and to augment the value we bring to our Indian consumers, we have fronted a 1-year replacement guarantee on Nokia 2.3..." HMD Global Vice President - India, Middle-East and North Africa Sanmeet Kochhar said.
 Consumers have loved HMD's 1-year replacement guarantee on Nokia feature phones and now this is being extended to smartphones with the Nokia 2.3, he added.
 Nokia branded phones once dominated the Indian phone market but lost its spot to South Korean major Samsung, and was also adversely impacted by sale of low-cost Chinese phones.
 India is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets globally. As per International Data Corporation (IDC), smartphone sales grew 9.3 per cent on year-on-year basis to 46.6 million units in the July-September 2019.
 The sub-Rs 10,000 category is estimated to account for a significant share of the market.
 Xiaomi continued to lead the tally with 27.1 per cent share, followed by Samsung (18.9 per cent), Vivo (15.2 per cent), Realme (14.3 per cent) and Oppo (11.8 per cent).
 The Nokia 2.3 features a large 6.2-inch screen and promises a two-day battery.
 The android 10-ready device will receive guaranteed monthly security updates for three years and OS updates for two years. It also features a dual camera and comes with 'Recommended Shot', a new Nokia phones feature that helps users choose the best picture. It also has a dedicated Google Assistant Button. SR SHW

The company launched in 2020 and has 23 cabins and a 94% occupancy rate since July last year, marking a 209% increase in bookings over the previous 12 months, according to Hughes.Group travel operator <a target="_blank" href="https://www.ftlotravel.com/phone-free-trips">For The Love of Travel (FTLO)</a> ran its first phone-free trip this February and a second in April, and five more are listed on its site through 2025. For FTLO, the trips become "phone-free" once you arrive at the first hotel and meet your tour operator, who manages the logistics for the rest of the journey.FTLO CEO Tara Cappel said guests are asked to leave their phones in their hotel safe or at the bottom of their bags when the group is together. "We're also obviously not controlling whether people are going back to the rooms and getting on their phones. It's an honor policy." According to Cappel, their first two trips were filled, and all guests expressed interest in another "phone-free" trip.She acknowledged that tech-free travel hasn't become completely mainstream, "People are still a little intimidated by the idea." Hughes told BI, "Many people haven't switched their phones off for years," Hughes added. "People experience phantom buzzes and find themselves searching for their phone instinctively before remembering it's locked in a box."<h2 id="b3abbc45-e1fb-489d-879d-2b2b74fd172d">The reasons for going phone-free when traveling vary</h2>One popular motivation is for couples to spend quality time with their partners. Hughes told BI that 80% of their guests are couples.Elena Mnayarji, an MBA student at Berkeley, went on a phone-free honeymoon with her husband in Mallorca last summer. She said she didn't plan it but wanted to disconnect after a busy wedding. "By the time we got to Mallorca, I was exhausted and really needed to shut my brain off." When she arrived in Mallorca, she turned her phone off and put it in a drawer at their hotel for their entire trip. Not checking her phone was difficult, but Elena was happy that she committed to it. "For the first couple hours, it was a little tough," she said. "But I felt a lot less anxious." She also said her husband felt more connected to her.<h2 id="0c543866-3955-403b-83c8-e9ddc90b224c">Phone-free travel can also help with burnout</h2>Last summer, nonprofit strategist Izzy Doonan did a tech-free week-long trip in the Cascades with her partner and another couple. They wouldn't have cell service, so they embraced the opportunity to get offline. "As the trip got closer, we all realized how burnt out we were. It was fitting to take a trip without our phones and really unplug," Doonan said. As soon as they drove into the park and lost service, the group put their phones in the glove compartment of their car and didn't use them until they left the park."A lot of the nerves were from our parents because they wouldn't be able to contact us," said Doonan, who wasn't personally concerned. "I felt quite safe in the confines of a national park," she said, adding they had a car and other campers were around. "I would 1,000% do it again."<h2 id="a4175990-8683-44be-94c9-7291952c55c5">Logistics of traveling phone-free</h2>Traveling phone-free does pose some logistical issues. "One concern that was brought up was that people's families back home were worried," said Cappel. FTLO provides the trip leaders' phone numbers and full itineraries with contact information to travelers to share with whoever might need it. Mnayarji echoed, "I would recommend people tell their family if they're going to go phone-free. My mom was freaking out, so I had to text her from my husband's phone."For both FTLO and Unplugged, you can use your phone to help you navigate to the destination and then are asked to put your phone away. Traveling domestically, bringing an emergency prepaid phone, or traveling with a tour operator in charge of the logistics are ways to make your tech-free trip as safe as possible.Cappel said, "Committing to a multi-day phone-free trip is a lot, but if people can start with an afternoon and leave their phone in their hotel for the day, it's a great way to start and realize it's really doable."

10 Tech Things You Need To Know This Morning

<div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image on-image"></div></div>Microsoft says that its <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/satya-nadella-just-undid-steve-ballmers-last-big-mistake-2015-7">$7.6 billion write-off of its disastrous Nokia acquisition</a> is part of a "restructuring" effort "to better focus and align resources" around its smartphone efforts - a market Microsoft never really ever got close to dominating.The layoffs come shortly after Microsoft offloaded its maps business and its display advertising business.So has Microsoft finished cleaning house or is the company likely to exit more businesses as part of its "focusing and aligning" mission? A close look at Microsoft's sprawling empire shows other lagging businesses that probably don't fit in with the company's new productivity-first mission statement and might benefit from a sale, spin-off, or shutdown. Here are some of the main ones: Retail: First announced in 2009, the Microsoft retail stores were an obvious product of Apple envy - Microsoft even poached Apple Store employees and purposely placed the first few locations right near Apple Stores. But a Black Friday 2014 survey from <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/26/apple-store-vs-microsoft-store-on-black-friday/">Piper Jaffrey showed that the Microsoft store was significantly less popular than its Apple counterpart</a>. At this point, Microsoft Stores are basically a joke, so close them and save some cash. Dynamics CRM: Another place where Microsoft is an also-ran. Customer relationship management (CRM) is a hot market, with $14 billion in global revenues in 2014. But <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/louiscolumbus/2015/05/22/gartner-crm-market-share-update-47-of-all-crm-systems-are-saas-based-salesforce-accelerates-lead/">a Gartner report</a> places Salesforce as the market leader with 18.6% market share, followed by SAP at 12.1% and Oracle at 9.1%. Dynamics is fourth with 6.2%. Given its lagging position, and the fact that it doesn't really fit into the productivity-first, developer-first world envisioned by Microsoft, it might be time to rethink where Dynamics fits in.Surface hardware: It's true that revenue from Microsoft's Surface tablet/laptop all-in-one is on the upswing, with a reported $713 million in sales in the last quarter, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-surface-sales-2014-4">representing a 44% jump over the same period of 2014</a>. But even that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-ipad-units-sold-q2-2015-2015-4">number lags behind Apple's iPad sales</a>. And even then, iPads are a continual source of disappointment for Apple investors. Sure, the most recent Surface results predate the launch of the new, critically-acclaimed Microsoft Surface 3 tablet, but it's hard to see Microsoft taking the lead in this market. Maybe so long as it's streamlining its phone business, it's time for Microsoft to reconsider if it wants to be in hardware at all - especially since it doesn't quite jibe with that big productivity push.Microsoft Xbox: At this year's E3 2015 video game event, the Microsoft Xbox One made some big announcements that spurred a lot of interest. And sooner or later, Microsoft is going to bring Windows 10 to the Xbox One, making it easier than ever to bring games and apps to the console. But it's not exactly a productivity-driving device. And worldwide, the Sony PlayStation 4 is <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/ps4-s-outselling-the-xbox-one-by-almost-2-to-1-and-that-s-the-good-news--1298498">outselling it almost 2-to-1</a>. While Microsoft has repeatedly expressed its support for the Xbox as a platform, <a href="http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/01/24/3-reasons-microsoft-should-spin-off-its-xbox-divis.aspx">investors and analysts have made no secret of their desire to see it spun off into a separate business</a>. Microsoft Bing: Thanks to a series of strategic partnerships with companies like Yahoo, <a href="http://bgr.com/2015/04/16/bing-vs-google-vs-yahoo-market-share/">Bing's marketshare is on the rise</a>, recently. hitting 20% in the US for the first time ever. But it's still way behind Google in marketshare and advertising revenue. In the wake of Microsoft's big changes to its display advertising business, it might be time to finally exit the search market. Microsoft is a big company, with some of the smartest people in the world working for it. It's always tough to make big changes - especially with 7,800 jobs on the line, as in the case with the Nokia write-off. The tech giant <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-q3-earnings-2015-7">earned $1.45 per share</a>, topping the $1.41 that Wall Street was expecting. Revenue climbed 32.5% to $49.6 billion, edging past the estimate of $49.4 billion. But iPhone sales of 47.5 million units missed the target of 48.8 million. According to CEO Tim Cook, the iPhone miss was due to a lower channel inventory. The stock was down more than 7% in after hours trade.Microsoft took a huge write-off on its Nokia phone business. Microsoft <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-reports-q4-earnings-2015-7">earned an adjusted $0.62 per share</a>, outpacing the $0.58 that Wall Street was expecting. Revenue slid 5.1% to $22.2 billion, but still managed to beat the $22.04 billion that analysts were anticipating. However, the company announced a $7.6 billion write-off on its Nokia phone business and the costs associated with eliminating 7,800 jobs. Factoring those costs in, the company lost $0.40 per share or $2.1 billion. "Our approach to investing in areas where we have differentiation and opportunity is paying off with Surface, Xbox, Bing, Office 365, Azure and Dynamics CRM Online all growing by at least double-digits," CEO Satya Nadella said.Yahoo disappointed. The search giant announced <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/yahoo-q2-earnings-2015-7">earnings of $0.16 per share</a>, missing the $0.19 analyst estimate. Revenue ticked up 0.3% from last year to $1.04 billion, edging out the $1.04 billion that was expected. CFO Ken Goldman said the company expects to pay more for search traffic.Chipotle's quarter was mixed. The fast-casual burrito maker <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/chipotle-second-quarter-earnings-2015-7">earned $4.45 per share</a>, which topped expectations by two cents. Revenue jumped 14.1% to $1.2 billion, just shy of the $1.22 billion that analysts were looking for. Same store sales came in light at 4.3%in the quarter versus expectations of of 5.8%. "We feel good about our second quarter results, as our revenue, average restaurant sales, and comparable restaurant sales have continued to grow even comparing to a very strong 2014," CEO Steve Ells noted.GoPro crushed estimates. The wearable camera maker posted <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/gopro-second-quarter-earnings-2015-7">adjusted earnings of $0.35 per share</a>, easily beating the $0.26 that Wall Street analysts were expecting. Revenue surged 71.7% to $419.9 million, which was well ahead of the $396.3 million that was anticipated. "I couldn't be more proud of our aggressive pace of innovation. With the introduction of HERO4 Session and HERO+ LCD, we've launched five new cameras in the past 10 months, exciting both new and existing customers and contributing to strong second quarter results," CEO Nick Woodman said in a statement.The AT&amp;T-DirecTV merger is closer to being approved. The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/att-is-one-step-closer-to-buying-directv-for-485-billion-2015-7">head of the Federal Communication Commission has given the go ahead for AT&amp;T's planned $48.5 billion buyout of DirecTV</a>. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said he approved the deal under a few conditions. The other four commissioners of the FCC have yet to vote and the deal has already received approval from the Department of Justice.The Bank of England minutes warned on inflation. The latest Bank of England minutes showed <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/bank-of-england/11755004/Pound-jumps-as-Bank-of-England-warns-on-inflation-risk.html">a "number of members" voiced their concerns that inflation risks are "skewed to the upside."</a> According to the Telegraph, Monetary Policy Committee members think inflation is "likely to pick up notably" into the end of the year. However, the minutes showed all nine members voted to keep both the benchmark interest rate and asset purchase program on hold. The British pound is up 0.3% at 1.5608.Stock markets around the world are lower. Overnight, Japan's Nikkei (-1.2%) paced the decline while China's Shanghai Composite (+0.2%) outperformed. With smartphone penetration already so high in the U.S. - at 62% penetration, <a href="https://intelligence.businessinsider.com/the-us-has-entered-the-late-stages-of-smartphone-adoption-2013-11" target="_blank">according to comScore</a> - AT&amp;T will only be able to gain an incremental number of new smartphone users in coming quarters. 
Meanwhile, the wave of new smartphone users over the past two years will inflate the number of customers wanting to upgrade to premium handsets from their old model. This is why Stevenson is likely planning to convince users to use more of the network, while weaning them of the regular upgrade cycle. 
Interestingly, it was the standard two-year contract model from the four largest carriers that helped spur such rapid smartphone uptake in the U.S. in the first place and make top-tier handsets like the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy line widely accessible. 
Now, rather than pushing a popular new device to customers at a lower cost, AT&amp;T and most carriers will likely refocus efforts toward improving their network and insuring that customers use more of it. To facilitate this new strategy, the carrier introduced last week a new discounted data pricing plan that would incentivize customers to hang on to their existing devices. Customers can save $15 on their monthly wireless bill. 
T-mobile is taking a completely different approach. It now offers users any smartphone <a href="http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57576710-94/is-t-mobiles-new-no-contract-plan-really-a-good-deal/" target="_blank">without the burden of a contract</a>, and has recently launched a program where customers have the ability to <a href="http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57593060-94/t-mobile-could-intro-anytime-upgrade-club-today/" target="_blank">upgrade to a new device as much as twice per year</a>.
