Vary.</p><p>On the list was Brown, <a href="https://www.insider.com/millie-bobby-brown-noah-schnapp-marriage-pact-single-at-40-2022-6">Schnapp's longtime costar</a> on the popular Netflix drama.</p><p>"I kept trying to do it in person with her, and it was too hard," Schnapp told Variety. "So then I just FaceTimed her one day in the middle of a Party City and I was like, 'Millie, I'm gay.'" </p><p>As the actor revealed, Brown had an amazing reaction to the news. </p><p>"She was like, 'Oh, Schnapper! You told me finally!'" 'Stranger Things' star Noah Schnapp confirms Will Byers is gay and in love with Mike Wheeler

<p><em><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image"><p class="source"><span>Paramount Pictures</span></p><p class="caption">"Noah"</p></div><p></p></div></div></em>Scientists at the University of Leicester have discovered that Noah's Ark could have carried 70,000 animals without sinking if built from the dimensions listed in The Bible.</p>
<p>Noah's Ark would have floated even with two of every animal in the world packed inside, scientists have calculated.</p>
<p>Although researchers are unsure if all the creatures could have squeezed into the huge boat, they are confident it would have handled the weight of 70,000 creatures without sinking.</p>
<p>A group of master's students from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Leicester University studied the exact dimensions of the Ark, set out in Genesis 6:13-22.</p>
<p>According to The Bible, God instructed Noah to build a boat which was 300 cubits long 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high - recommending gopher wood for the enormous lifeboat.</p>
<p>The students averaged out the Egyptian and Hebrew cubit measurement to come up with 48.2cm, making the Ark around 144 metres long - about 100 metres shorter than Ark Royal.</p>
<p>Using the dimensions, the Archimedes principal of buoyancy and approximate animal wrights they were astonished to find out that the Ark would have floated.</p>
<p>Student Benjamin Jordan, 21, from Bury St Edmonds, said: "Using the dimensions of the Ark and the density of the water, we were able to calculate its buoyancy force, which, according to Archimedes' principle, is equal to the weight of the volume of fluid the object displaces.</p>
<p>"This meant we were then able to estimate the total mass the Ark could support before the gravitational weight would overcome the buoyancy force, causing the Ark to sink."</p>
<p>Previous research has suggested that there were approximately 35,000 species of animals which would have needed to be saved by Noah, enabling the students to conclude that the dimensions given in the Bible would have allowed Noah to build an ark that would float with all of the animals on board.</p>
<p>The students had to swap gopher wood for cypress wood, as Biblical experts continue to speculate as to what gopher wood might be. Some think it may just mean plained timber.</p>
<p>Student Thomas Morris, 22, from Chelmsford, said: "You don't think of the Bible necessarily as a scientifically accurate source of information, so I guess we were quite surprised when we discovered it would work. We're not proving that it's true, but the concept would definitely work."</p>
<p>It is a separate matter whether all of the animals would fit inside an ark of these dimensions - the physics students were simply calculating the buoyancy of the ark.</p>
<p>The students presented their findings in a paper for the Journal of Physics Special Topics, a peer-reviewed student journal run by the University's Department of Physics and Astronomy.</p>
<p>Course tutor, Dr Mervyn Roy, a lecturer in the University of Leicester's Department of Physics and Astronomy, said: "The students are encouraged to be imaginative with their topics, and find ways to apply basic physics to the weird, the wonderful and the everyday."</p>
<p>Student, Katie Raymer, 22, from Whitstable added: "Every other module that we do is a lot more serious and so the Physics Special Topics module was nice to do something different - allowing us to apply basic physics to something a bit more fun."</p>

Crazy," Ramos said. "We started at 5 p.m. and then we ended at 10 in the morning the next day. It was brutal. The day felt like it was never going to end."</p><p>Nwigwe told Insider that his biggest challenge was figuring out where to look when filming scenes with the giant robots in them, because they are only added later using CGI.</p><p>"I think the more challenging scene was the scene with me, Anthony, and Mirage at the end because you don't have an actual Autobot on the scene," the Grammy-nominated rapper said. She's done almost everything, from garnering <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/jennifer-lopez-oscar-buzz-for-hustlers-is-deserved-2019-9">Oscar buzz</a> to performing at the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/jlo-shakira-super-bowl-halftime-show-latinx-spanish-fans-reactions-2020-2">Super Bowl halftime show</a> with Shakira. But along the way, she also weathered pain and rejection from several high-profile breakups.</p><p>Lopez's romantic and emotional transformation is the subject of "This Is Me…Now," her new album and accompanying film of the same name. The plan, he says, was to tell an "abstract, Pink Floyd-like story" that functions as a "loose biopic that captures the essence of Jen."</span></p><p>The result is a deliberately self-indulgent opus packed with fantastical dreamscapes and choreography-laden musical numbers. It's all woven together by Lopez's narration, which is largely told via sessions with her therapist, played by Fat Joe (yes, really — and that's just one of many celebrity cameos). </p><p>If that sounds like a lot, it's because it is. And that was on purpose.</p><p>Below, Meyers unpacks the key moments from his and Lopez's maximalist creative vision.</p><h2>The original script was much longer, but the project was scaled back after they 'cut the budget in half'</h2><p>Meyers and Lopez conceived of the idea for "This Is Me…Now: A Love Story," without considering potential budgetary or creative limitations. </p><p>"The original conception really was two kids in a candy store," Meyers said. "Once I got her into the sphere of wildness, we brainstormed out a full-length, 150-page script."</p><p>Once they began shopping the film to different distributors, however, they were forced to "cut the budget in half." (Lopez recently told Variety <a target="_blank" href="https://variety.com/2024/film/features/jennifer-lopez-this-is-me-now-musical-film-ben-affleck-love-story-1235908364/">she kicked in $20 million of her own money</a> to complete the project.)</p><p>"When we got consolidated, yeah, we had to have the tough conversation of, 'What goes, what stays?' For Meyers, Lopez's "emotional journey" is the connective thread, transforming a series of eclectic events into a complete story arc.</p><p>After a storybook-style introduction, Lopez appears onscreen riding on the back of a motorcycle, gripping Affleck's waist. They zoom over a tranquil, sunset-dappled lake before Affleck loses control; they suffer a spectacular crash.</p><p>"Heartbreak is huge stakes. It's life or death," Meyers explained. "Riding the motorcycle through the waters of Bolivia was really about the dreaminess of love, of course, and then what happens."</p><p>Another scene, set to the song "Rebound," shows Lopez wrestling with a violent partner who traps her in a glass house. It's just... raw Jen,'" Meyers said. Other workers harvest red flower petals — but the flowers are dying, and the heart is failing.</p><p>Lopez dons protective gear, determined to fix the mighty machine. But once she gets inside, she blacks out and wakes up in her therapist's office.</p><p>"So that's when the dreams started, you think? With that heartbreak?" he asks.</p><p>"Yeah, I think so. I had never felt anything like that before," she replies. "She opened up more than I thought she would about what that was for her, and I could see that there's a lot of pain there still."</p><p>Lopez and Affleck, nicknamed "Bennifer," were the subject of intense media scrutiny during their nascent relationship. This included "sexist, racist" vitriol directed toward Lopez, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/awards-chatter-podcast-ben-affleck-the-way-back-4115884/">Affleck said</a>.</p><p>The couple announced the postponement of their wedding in 2003 due to "excessive media attention." How do we show the stakes and the magnitude and the volume of what heartbreak feels like for everyone, but also for her?"</p><p>To visualize the heart factory, Meyers drew inspiration from films like "Titanic" and "Howl's Moving Castle" to capture the sheer scale of romantic peril.</p><p>"Jen's got this raw toughness to her, and so I wanted to figure out how to exploit that," he said. They're credited simply as "Husband No. 1" (Tony Bellissimo), "Husband No. 2" (Derek Hough), and "Husband No. 3" (Trevor Jackson).</p><p>In fact, Meyers said he and Lopez were careful to cast actors who didn't "accidentally depict" a real person from Lopez's life.</p><p>"We tried to make the film not really about those specific people because it isn't," Meyers explained. "She could have married any three people."</p><p>"What we need to show is the overbearing enthusiasm that this character has, that maybe marriage will lead her to love," he continued. "Maybe the second marriage will. Well, maybe the third marriage — ah, fuck it. None of these marriages. Love and marriage have nothing to do with each other."</p><p>The anonymity of each husband drives home the movie's thesis: Lopez is the star of her own life.</p><p>This isn't a story about failed relationships, or even about reuniting with Affleck in the end. Steve slipped into the role of lead Demogorgon fighter and defender of children with ease. </p><p>He wasn't involved now simply because of romantic heroism — Steve was here to help protect Hawkins and everyone in it. Steve and Nancy's re-attraction to each other is mentioned by Dustin, Robin, <em>and </em>newcomer Eddie.</p><p>Add that to the opening scene of Steve explaining how he's not finding any girls he connects to, and it feels obvious that the Duffer Brothers are going out of their way to tell the audience that Steve and Nancy are meant to be together. </p><p>This is why I think he's about to die. </p><h2>'Stranger Things' has yet to kill off a major character, and Steve is the best candidate for an emotional punch</h2><div type="image" title="steve and nancy stranger things" height="500" width="667" msid="92505876" hostid="261" sizebytes="26508"></div><p>Noah Schnapp has hinted at a major character death <a href="https://www.insider.com/stranger-things-4-noah-schnapp-teases-truths-and-a-lie-2022-5">in several interviews, including with Insider</a>. And right now, Steve is the character whose demise would make the most devastating impact.</p><p>Hopper and Joyce would feel immense guilt for not being there to help all the teens.</p><p>Nancy would be extra grieved because she had begun emotionally separating from Jonathan, so Steve's death would leave her mega lonely among her peers (again, a good reason why this season is also making Nancy and Robin friends — so they have each other when Steve is dead). </p><p>Oh god, I'm already crying. And I haven't even mentioned THE CHILDREN yet. </p><p>Dustin Henderson is going to be absolutely crushed if Steve dies. Inconsolable. And just thinking about Gaten Matarazzo sobbing is making me want to cry.</p><p>Plus Max, who was just looked after so diligently by Steve? Who had maybe started seeing Steve as the brother she never had? It's too sad. </p><p>Then there's Robin — the girl who always envied Steve in high school. But she grew to love him, just like all of us at home did, by realizing he's almost always trying to become a better guy. He's the one person in Hawkins who knows she's gay and is fully supportive of her. <a href="https://www.insider.com/stranger-things-season-4-best-worst-moments#best-robin-and-steven-talk-about-girls-in-the-car-including-plenty-of-chatter-about-boobies-1">He even drives her to school in the mornings</a>, despite having already graduated. But that's why it's brilliant.</p><p>The writers will (hopefully) leave us our hero Eleven, and Hopper can't die for real after that <a href="https://www.insider.com/stranger-things-the-explanation-for-how-hopper-survived-is-dumb-2022-5">drawn out fake death at the end of season three</a>. He turned a simple question-and-answer game show into a high-stakes meeting of the minds.</p><p>Somehow the show never lost its friendly face. But Trebek was the original family-room brainiac. Not to mention, he has hosted more episodes of anything than anyone ever. On June 13, 2014, he broke Bob Barker's record as host of "The Price is Right" when he hosted his 6,829th "Jeopardy!" episode.</p><h2>When <keyword id="6357922" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Television">television</keyword> and politics collide</h2><p>Historically speaking, Trebek's rise to his illustrious position was kind of a happy accident, one driven largely by political will.</p><p>When "Jeopardy!" first hit the airwaves in 1964, America's greatest ideological opponent was the Soviet Union. The US was in the middle of the Cold War. Yuri Gagarin, a Russian, had beaten us to outer space three years earlier.</p><p>For the next three decades the US had something to prove.</p><p>In the millions of quiet living rooms around the country, meanwhile, episodic television was on the up and up. Americans watched shows that existed only in 22-minute chunks of airtime. They watched Marcia Brady get hit in the nose with an errant football one Friday and forget about it the next.</p><p>Around this time, the game-show world was still in its infancy, but it <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2014/03/why-are-americans-so-protective-of-em-jeopardy-em/284335/">had already gained a dirty reputation</a> as a genre defined by scandal. Past shows were accused of <a href="http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/quizshow/peopleevents/pande04.html">fixing who won</a> and creating false storylines to drum up ratings.</p><p>In 1960, <a href="https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCODE-2011-title47/pdf/USCODE-2011-title47-chap5-subchapV-sec509.pdf">Congress declared</a> that rigging quiz shows was officially illegal.</p><p>For the first decade or so of its life, the well-meaning "Jeopardy!" — a front-row student in a class of hooligans — failed to escape that stigma.</p><p>Then came the '80s, and TV saw a tectonic shift.</p><div type="image" title="CheersShow" height="450" width="600" msid="79135300" hostid="261"></div><p>Series like "Dallas," "Cheers," and "Magnum P.I." took on larger arcs that viewers paid attention to and cared about. <p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Jimmy Kimmel got&#xa0;emotional&#xa0;discussing the death of&#xa0;Cecil the Lion, a famous Zimbabwe animal and&#xa0;tourist attraction,&#xa0;on&#xa0;Tuesday's&#xa0;"Jimmy Kimmel Live."&#xa0;<p>In <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LzXpE1mjqA">a four-minute monologue</a>, Kimmel&#xa0;sharply criticized&#xa0;Walter Palmer, the 55-year-old American dentist responsible for hunting and killing the animal.</p><p>Palmer and two hunters <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/zimbabwe/11767119/Cecil-the-lions-killer-revealed-as-American-dentist.html">illegally killed&#xa0;the lion</a>&#xa0;after luring it out of its home at the&#xa0;<span>Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe on July 1. After Palmer&#xa0;shot Cecil with a bow and arrow, the animal escaped and survived&#xa0;40 more hours before the hunters tracked him down and shot him dead.&#xa0;The hunters later skinned and beheaded the caracass.</span></p><p><span><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></span></p><p><a href="http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/29/africa/zimbabwe-cecil-the-lion-killed/">CNN reported</a> that Palmer now&#xa0;regrets&#xa0;killing Cecil. In a statement, Palmer said he<span>&#xa0;"had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt."</span></p><p><span>Kimmel responded to Palmer's statement&#xa0;with a pointed attack:&#xa0;<span>"Stop saying you took the animal. You take aspirin … you killed the animal."</span></span></p><p>The talk-show host&#xa0;questioned&#xa0;the motivation behind Palmer's killing of the lion, asking&#xa0;"How is that fun?<span>&#xa0;Is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things that are stronger than you?"&#xa0;</span></p><p>Kimmel went on&#xa0;to mock Palmer by comparing him to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/new-york-magazine-just-dropped-a-bombshell-bill-cosby-cover-story-2015-7">alleged rapist Bill Cosby</a>, calling Palmer "<span>the most hated man in America who never advertised Jell-O pudding on television."&#xa0;</span></p><p>Palmer has also posed in photos with&#xa0;a number of other big game kills, including a bear, a leopard and a rhino. Kimmel showed the pictures during his monologue and joked that Palmer had "killed like half of Noah's Arc."</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Kimmel got choked up toward the end of the monologue as he asked his audience to&#xa0;donate to <a href="http://wildcru.org">wildcru.org</a><span>, an organization that supports wildlife conservation.&#xa0;"Maybe we can show the world that not all Americans are like this jackhole," he&#xa0;said about Palmer.</span></p><p><span>Kimmel isn't the only famous person&#xa0;to take Palmer to task for his killing of Cecil. Jimmy Kimmel gets choked up over the death of Cecil the Lion, slams dentist who killed him

He's also hinted that he'd one day like to be mayor of New York City.</strong></li></ul><p><br />Many CEOs would say that it's difficult to run one company. But for the last two years, Jack Dorsey has run two.</p><p>As the CEO of both Twitter and Square, Dorsey is one of the most famous and influential names in tech. And while Square's business is doing better than ever, he's also had the difficult job of steering Twitter through years of seemingly-constant executive turnover and lackluster growth.</p><p>Both CEO jobs present their own unique challenges, according to Dorsey.</p><p>"When I started, I just took in as much as possible and then I figured out what I need to focus on and what mattered and where I need to prioritize," he said when recently asked about rejoining Twitter as CEO in 2015. "And both companies are in very different phases."</p><p>"Square is something I built from day one and I know every single detail of that system," he explained at The New York Times DealBook conference last month. "[With] Twitter, I had to learn a few things in my absence. I had to learn why we made decisions and what the principles were and how we might change those or how we might evolve those. Both required very different answers."</p><p>While Dorsey benefits from the geographical proximity of Square and Twitter (both headquarters are across the street from each other in San Francisco), he manages his dual-CEO position by strictly regimenting his time during the work week. He spends mornings at Twitter and afternoons at Square. And <a href="https://www.producthunt.com/live/jack-dorsey">in 2015</a>, he said he begins his day at 5 AM and ends at 11 PM.</p><p>Dorsey explained more about how he manages his time during last month's DealBook conference:</p><p>"I benefit from number one: A lot of structure. Number two: Realizing it's not about the amount of time I spend at one thing but how I spend the time and what we're focused on. And are we focused on the thing that truly matters most and is most important? Are we ignoring everything else, at least for now?"</p><p>"And then three: Do we have the right team around to do the work and make the decisions and move things forward. Square had been building that team for a long time. And we had to do some resets at Twitter throughout the company. It takes time for a team to gel. It takes time to understand how to collaborate with one another. Meanwhile, we have a lot of things that were not expected that I was coming into that we had to deal with."</p><h2>An early ousting - and a triumphant return</h2><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>AP</span></p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dorsey showed an interest at a young age in developing dispatch routing software used by taxi companies. During a 2013 interview with "60 Minutes," Dorsey explained how as a kid he would listen to police scanners. The short bursts of information he would hear over the airwaves laid the groundwork for the real-time news network that Twitter would eventually become.</p><p>The arc of Dorsey's career at Twitter has been compared to Steve Jobs's early fall from grace and triumphant return to Apple. After cofounding Twitter with Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams, Dorsey was ousted in 2008 after a power struggle with Williams. It was during this time that he cofounded the payments company Square.</p><p>He made his first return to Twitter as executive chairman in 2011. Dorsey then became CEO in 2015 when Dick Costolo stepped down from the role.</p><p>Dorsey's rise to become CEO in 2015 after being kicked out of Twitter in 2008 was seen by many inside the company as similar to when Steve Jobs returned to Apple in the late 90s, according to one former senior Twitter employee. Like Apple when Jobs returned, Twitter's business was faltering and employee morale was low.</p><p>Under Dorsey's watch, Twitter has continued to weather stagnant growth and undergone multiple failed takeover bids. And while Square's market value recently overtook Twitter's for the first time, Twitter's executive ranks have been a revolving door. Dorsey has an estimated net worth of roughly $3 billion, according to Forbes.</p><p>Current and former Twitter employees told Business Insider that Dorsey's management style can lead him to be closely involved with projects when they're deemed important but also appear aloof when an issue is raised that's not in his current orbit. One high-level former employee recalled how Dorsey's office was plastered with hundreds of variations of the Twitter logo when the company was undergoing a redesign several years ago.</p><p>"He's comfortable high in the clouds and deep in the weeds," the ex-employee said. "It's the in-between that gets him tripped up."</p><h2>"My goal is to make sure we are building something that outlives me"</h2><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Justin Sullivan / Getty Images</span></p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>While Dorsey stays busy running two companies, he's hinted in the past at having aspirations of eventually becoming mayor of New York City. He's a known donor to the Democratic Party and rallied Twitter's staff to raise $1.6 million for <span>the American Civil Liberties Union</span><span> in response to President Trump's executive order on immigration. Outside of Twitter and Square, Dorsey serves as a board member of both Disney and the Berggruen Governance Center, a think tank dedicated to coming up with new ideas related to governance and globalization. </span></p><p>At Twitter, Dorsey's main focus is currently on revamping the platform's abuse and harassment safeguards after years of what people close to the company described as institutional negligence. And at Square, the payments company is focused on onboarding larger businesses for its point of sale system. A couple of months ago, Square filed to officially become a bank with the goal of offering more loans to small businesses.</p><p>During a presentation for advertisers earlier this year, Dorsey <a href="https://twitter.com/alexeheath/statuses/859185352719958016?tw_i=859185352719958016&amp;tw_e=details&amp;tw_p=archive">proclaimed</a> that Twitter would continue to exist "for at least 10,000 years" - a grandiose statement seemingly meant to convey his commitment to the embattled company he helped create in 2006.</p><p>"My goal is to make sure that we are building something that outlives me and that endures and that continues to serve generations beyond me," Dorsey said at the Dealbook conference last month. "That means I need to build structures that aren't dependent entirely on me. That means I need to recognize leaders who can succeed me.
