This will be the first market outside South Kores where the country is listed. Hyundai, which entered the Indian market in 1996 is one of the top automakers in India, moving between the second and third spots. The company emerged as the second biggest automaker in Hyundai. Since it entered the Indian market, the company has sold over 80 lakh cars in the country. Hyundai intends to establish India as a global manufacturing and export hub for the company and this might be an initial step in this direction. KFin Technologies is the registrar for the public issue and advisors for the issue include Kotak Investment Banking, Citi, HSBC, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. <h2>India’s biggest IPO</h2>Hyundai India is looking to raise ₹27,870 crore from the IPO, significantly higher than the ₹21,008 crore raised by the state-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) in 2022, making it the biggest IPO in India’s history. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="111690863" title="The biggest IPOs in India’s history – LIC to Paytm, companies that have raised the most funds" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> <h2>About the IPO</h2>The upcoming IPO from Hyundai is entirely an offer for sale (OFS), with the company looking to offload up to 17.5% of shares, which is 14.22 crore shares with a price band of ₹1865 to ₹1,960 per share. Bids can be made in a lot size of 7 shares or multiples of 7 shares. The IPO opens on October 15 and will close on October 18. While the allotment will be finalised on October 18, the shares will be listed on the stock exchange on October 22. At the upper end of the price band, Hyundai Motor India will be valued at $18 billion (approx. ₹1.6 lakh crore), which is around 40% of its parent company, Hyundai Global’s $45 billion valuation. As it is entirely an OFS, the company won’t receive any funds and all the funds raised will go to Hyundai Global. However, the company has said that part of the funds will be allocated towards research and development, especially in electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid technologies. The company has reserved 7.78 lakh shares with a value of ₹131 to ₹138 crore for employees. The strong momentum in IPO markets is being driven by several key macroeconomic, sector-specific factors and the willingness of funds to look at new ideas. In particular, strong inflows into domestic mutual funds and robust capital formation across corporate India are playing key roles, experts said. Garuda Construction and Engineering's IPO is a mix of fresh issue of 1.83 crore equity shares and an offer of sale (OFS) of 95 lakh equity shares by promoter PKH Ventures. The price band has been fixed at Rs 92 to Rs 95 per share. About Rs 100 crore from its fresh issuance proceeds will be utilised for working capital requirements and the balance towards general corporate purposes, including unidentified inorganic acquisitions. Shiv Texchem's IPO is a completely new offering of over 61 lakh shares and is a book-built issue of Rs 101.35 crore. It has set a price band of Rs 158 to Rs 166 per equity share for the IPO. While investment bankers are confident of the ‘high-quality business’ from the House of Tatas, analysts are backing the ₹3,042 crore issue due to its prospects, business model and mostly its pricing. The grey market is also the most optimistic it’s ever been in the recent past as it predicts 70% listing gains. The engineering research and development (R&amp;D) company offers product development and digital solutions to manufacturing companies. “Its areas of expertise include product engineering and manufacturing engineering in the mechanical domain such as body engineering, while it is adding capabilities in the software and embedded engineering segments,” says a report by Emkay. This market of global outsourced ER&amp;D market was estimated to be around $105-110 billion in 2022. Moreover, the digital engineering market is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16% between 2022 to 2026. Auto to EV to aviation The subsidiary of <keyword id="42747" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tata-motors" source="Orion">Tata Motors</keyword> is heavily focussed on the auto sector where it gets 75% of its revenues from. But its turnkey solutions can also be used across the manufacturing vertical. It has set its sights on aviation where the outsourced ER&amp;D market is as big as $9 billion per annum. “Apart from automotive, it will be a key beneficiary of tailwinds in aerospace led by capacity expansion plans of aircraft manufacturers and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) activities,” says a report by IDBI Capital. The growing electric vehicle sector too is another area of focus. Prashanth Tapse, senior VP of research at Mehta Equities says that portfolio is diverse across traditional OEM’s to new-age electric vehicles. “We think outsourcing business models would be in great demand going forward in engineering services and digital transformation services to global manufacturing clients helping clients to conceive, design, develop and deliver better products,” Tapse adds. While services constitute around 80% of its revenues, it also gets 11% of revenues from products business where it re-sells third-party software applications. It also has an education vertical where it provides ‘phygital’ solutions in manufacturing skills – that nets it with 9% of revenues. Slower than peers, but better In the last three fiscal years, from FY21 to FY23, its revenue and profit after tax grew at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 36% and 62% respectively. Analysts say that the growth is a tad slow, as compared to its industry peers be it LTTS, its own group company Tata Elxsi and KPIT Cummins. “Tata Tech’s growth trajectory over FY16-23 remains slower than peers’, but has seen improvement in the last three years because of traction in select accounts. Weakness in a large client in H1FY24 due to near completion of the large full-vehicle development projects may weigh on the company’s near-term performance,” says a report by Emkay. The company had specified in its risk factors in the RHP that it’s heavily dependent on its top five clients. It has set a price band of ₹475-500 for the issue. At the upper end of the price band, Tata Tech is being valued at around 32 times its FY23 EPS. The same ratio for LTTS is at 40x, Tata Elxsi at 69x, and KPIT at 110x. Most brokerage reports say that the company has left something on the table for its IPO investors. “Despite 100% OFS offer investors are keen to own the share based on group legacy. We strongly advocate a good long term prospects for the company. We recommend it from a long-term perspective as well as strong listing gain due to investor friendly pricing given good room for upside,” said Tapse. IDBI Capital too said that it expects robust earnings growth going ahead, while Ventura also says that it has good earnings growth potential. “With the gradual recovery in the global economy, rising manufacturing capex and shift in manufacturing from US/Europe/China to India due to cost inflation and China+1 strategy, we are expecting strong in the TTECH’s financial performance in the coming years,” the Ventura report said. Tata Technologies IPO: The price is right say analysts

<ul><li>Defence, road and rail spending by the government is aiding growth in capital goods companies.</li><li>Due to the long-term nature of government spending, tendering momentum will go on till FY30, says Motilal Oswal Securities.</li><li>Wait for a good entry point in capital goods stocks, say analysts, as they have seen a good run in recent times.</li><li>Digital and green infrastructure-based ordering led by the private sector can also aid growth in a few players. </li></ul>India is building more roads, expanding railways and defence orders are trickling in. That’s good news for capital goods companies which also got another near-term boost in the form of lowered political risk; after the national ruling party BJP secured mandates in three states. According to Motilal Oswal Securities, with government spending on metros, water projects, transmission and more, the stage has been set for a ‘decadal growth opportunity’. Driven by long-term structural tailwinds, the sector is all set for a healthy revenue compounded annual growth rate (CAGR), it adds. The government has already spent 47% of what it budgeted for FY24, in the first half of the fiscal year. Private sector, which is spending less, is moving towards automation and green infrastructure, providing smaller but steady orders. In the second quarter, the manufacturing sector grew 13.9%, hitting a nine-quarter high – all indicating that good times are ahead of capital goods companies. The ‘expanding pie’ Government’s capex is projected to grow to ₹17 lakh crore in FY24 as compared to ₹13.5 lakh crore in FY23. With healthy tax collections, there are few doubts on the government’s ability to keep up the pace. “Government has outlined various capex plans for transmission, railways, highways, water, and defense indigenization as well as several PLI schemes. Though we believe that these targets are aggressive as compared to past runrates, even a 60-70% achievement ratio of the said targets can result in significant long-term opportunity for the sector,” says Motilal Oswal Securities. Most of the government’s spending plans are for the long-term too. And this will keep the tendering process busy till FY30, analysts expect. Companies too are all set to gain from the growth, by expanding capacities. “Demand-supply gaps, improved pricing and confidence over sustenance of capex momentum — all have triggered expansion in manufacturing capacities across companies; especially eyeing the latest revival seen in the power sector,” said a report by IIFL Securities. Wait for entry points say analysts Driven by robust order inflows, expanding margins due to lowered raw material cost, most companies in the sector gained significantly in the last few months, barring a few exceptions. That has altered the risk to reward profile of the sector. L&amp;T and <keyword id="6425802" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="bharat-electronics" source="Orion">Bharat Electronics</keyword> are IIFL’s preferred bets on the relative risk-reward trade-offs. Motilal Oswal also has a Buy recommendation on L&amp;T, ABB, Siemens, <keyword id="113731" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="cummins" source="Orion">Cummins</keyword>, and a ‘neutral’ stance on Bharat Electronics, Thermax and KEC. “We are positive on the business models of these companies but would look for better entry points owing to unfavorable risk reward at current valuations,” it adds. And, it’s also the third biggest IPO to hit the markets this year after Mankind Pharma and Nexus Select Trust. The issue is a complete offer for sale by the promoter Tata Motors, and other investors like Alpha TC Holdings and Tata Capital Growth Fund I. Tata Motors will be offloading 11.4% stake in Tata Technologies, and not the 20% as mentioned in its DRHP earlier. Last month, Tata Motors sold 9.9% stake to TPG Rise-led investors for ₹1,613.7 crore. About the company Tata Technologies is a global engineering research and development (ER&amp;D) company offering outsourced engineering and digital transformation services to manufacturing clients. Its anchor clients include its promoter Tata Motors and its subsidiary, Jaguar Land Rover. It also has a clientele in electric vehicles and keen on the growth opportunities in the aviation sector. It also re-sells third-party software applications, and provides value-added services such as consulting, implementation, systems integration and support. It also provides ‘phygital’ education solutions in manufacturing skills in the latest manufacturing technologies. The book running lead managers expressed confidence in the demand from the issue. “Based on the investor meetings, we are confident of good response from retail investors as well as HNIs for the IPO. It’s a high quality business from the Tatas,” Arvind Vashishta, managing director, head of India equity capital markets, Citigroup said at the IPO press conference. Financials &amp; Risk Factors In FY23, the company’s revenue from operations grew 25% and its net profit grew 47% from the year before. And any deterioration of their business, it may have a material adverse effect on its business. Apart from entering into related party transactions, it also competes with its group companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Elxsi. It also expects significant revenues to come from new energy vehicle companies, many of them maybe startup companies. “Uncertainties about their funding plans, future product roadmaps, ability to manage growth, creditworthiness and ownership changes may adversely affect our business, financial condition and results of operations,” Tata Technologies said. Its recent expansion of its education business, liability to damages for clients on account of system failures and more; any change in tax holidays to SEZs and licensing agreements with Tata Sons are the other risk factors listed in it. While it has undertaken one criminal proceeding, it has two such proceedings against it along with 17 tax proceedings, and 4 statutory or regulatory proceedings — amounting to ₹141 crore. Its promoter Tata Motors however has undertaken 80 criminal proceedings and 4 material civil litigations amounting to a liability of ₹2,797 crore. It also has 34 criminal cases against it and 817 tax proceedings, one statutory or regulatory proceeding and two disciplinary actions by SEBI or exchanges amounting to ₹4,503 crore.

Most analysts are undeterred by the fact that it’s a complete offer for sale, as they believe investors are keen on taking part in a high-quality growth business. “At upper price band of ₹500 and based on annualised earnings and fully diluted post-IPO paid-up capital, the issue is asking for a market cap of ₹20,283 crore with P/E of 29x on consolidated basis, which seems the issue is reasonably priced when compared industry peers which are trading 60x. Despite 100% OFS offer investors are keen to own the share based on group legacy,” said Prashanth Tapse, Sr VP of research at Mehta Equities. IDBI Capital too said that the company has good earnings growth potential. “With the gradual recovery in the global economy, rising manufacturing capex and shift in manufacturing from US/Europe/China to India due to cost inflation and China+1 strategy, we are expecting strong in the TTECH’s financial performance in the coming years,” said a report by Ventura. The grey market too is expecting 70% listing gains from its debut.

The non-institutional and retail investors’ interest paled in comparison as these quotas were subscribed 62 times and 16 times respectively. Thanks to the buzz, an analyst said that it could provide super-premium listing gains. Not only does the engineering R&amp;D player have a well-established business model, the Tata name worked wonders for the interest in the stock. “There is a high possibility that Tata Technologies can be a doubler candidate post listing. Given the growth potential in outsourcing, the business model would be in great demand going forward. We recommend allotted investors to book 50% profits over and above our expectations and retain the rest for the long-term,” said Prashanth Tapse, research analyst, senior VP of research at Mehta Equities.

The high recall value and its dominant market position will help the ₹1,200 crore public offer is expected to sail through easily, say experts. Stationery makers Flair and Cello World recently made their successful market debuts providing 49% and 22% listing gains respectively. The IPO of Doms, India’s second largest branded stationery and art products maker, will only be better, say experts. “Neither of them are in a dominant position in the market. Doms in a different league altogether. Its distribution is good, and has shown a phenomenal growth since the Covid pandemic and its fundamentals are in place,” <keyword id="127547" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="arun-kejriwal" source="Orion">Arun Kejriwal</keyword>, founder at Kejriwal Research &amp; Investment Services, tells Business Insider India. A wide range of products The company sells scholastic stationery, art material, paper stationery, office supplies and more. It had around 12% market share in branded stationery and art materials market in FY23. Its core products such as pencils and ‘mathematical instrument boxes’ enjoy 29% and 30% market share by value in FY23. “They have the widest breadth of product categories amongst their peers in India. Their presence across multiple categories and price points has enabled them to be the fastest growing such company in terms of revenue,” said a report by Anand Rathi which gives it a ‘subscribe for long-term’ rating. Its listed peers in the market are <keyword id="1889881" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="kokuyo-camlin" source="Orion">Kokuyo Camlin</keyword>, Linc and Pidilite Industries. Kejriwal too says that the company is focussed on growth. “Based on interactions with the management, they seem focussed on growing volumes and expanding the business,” he adds. The grey market too is placing its bets on the company, as it expects 61% listing gains from the stock. Experts say that this is because only 10% of the offer is earmarked for retail investors, and a lot of people are expected to apply for the issue. The issue will open on December 13 and close on December 15, and has fixed a price band of ₹750-790 per share. The post-Covid turnaround The company posted losses in FY21 due to Covid-19 related lockdown, which resulted in the closure of domestic and export markets, especially educational institutions, offices and workplaces and retail outlets. Ever since, however, it has shown a steady growth. Its revenue from operations grew at a CAGR of 73.45% from FY21 to FY23. It intends to use the net proceeds from the fresh issue to set-up a new manufacturing facility in addition to general corporate purposes. It also has a wide reach and a strong domestic distribution network of over 120 super-stockists, and 4,000 distributors along with a dedicated sales team of over 500 personnel covering more than 120,000 retail touch points over 3,500 cities and towns. It is also expanding internationally and has forged a joint venture with Italian multinational company FILA. It gives them access to international markets, and also augments their R&amp;D and technological capabilities. “Their symbiotic association with FILA, based on mutual synergies, has resulted in expansion of their international footprint in key American and European markets and has helped in the global distribution of ‘Doms’ brand,” said a report by Axis Capital. They also have an exclusive tie-up with certain entities of the FILA Group, for distribution and marketing for all categories of their respective products, under their name and trademark, in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Maldives. The Raptee.HV T30 uses technology similar to electric cars, which the company claims allows it to offer performance similar to 250-300 cc ICE vehicles with significantly less heat. <h2>Raptee.HV T30 price and availability</h2>The Raptee.HV T30 is priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in four colour options – Arctic White, Eclipse Black, Horizon Red and Mercury Grey. The bike will be available in Chennai and Bengaluru from January 2025, with debut in other key cities in the following months. The company’s factory-integrated experience centre will be opened in its home city Chennai. The company will also open an experience centre in Bengaluru. The bike can be booked from the company’s website for ₹1,000. <h2>Universal charging standard</h2>With the High-Voltage (HV) standard being used, Raptee.HV is the first two-wheeler company to adopt universal charging standards used by electric cars. It comes with a minimalistic design, which the company says is inspired by luxury cars. The bike has been designed aerodynamically to enhance performance and range. The T30 is powered by a 240V 5.4kWh battery pack. The battery on the T30 comes with an eight-year warranty. It can go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 3.5 seconds and comes with a top speed of 135 kmph. The T30 comes with three default ride modes – Comfort, Power and Sprint. It comes with a touch-screen display, with the company’s RapteeOS. It comes with navigation support with Raptee Maps, Bluetooth connectivity, charger locator and more.
