<keyword id="10296" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zoom">Zoom</keyword> users can now control their meeting room experienced from their mobile devices, eliminating the need for users to touch the shared in-room controller.<br /><br />The video chat app has announced the general availability of new Zoom Rooms innovations that will help organisations safely re-enter the office and sustain an ‘everywhere workforce'.<br /><br />"Pair your iOS or Android mobile client to a <keyword id="9882210" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="zoom-room">Zoom Room</keyword>, easily join meetings on the Zoom Rooms directly from your client and your mobile client is automatically placed in companion mode during the meeting," the company said in an update late on Wednesday.<br /><br />With the <keyword id="10703177" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="zoom-rooms-controller-app">Zoom Rooms Controller app</keyword> on your mobile, you'll have access to additional room controls, including the ability to start or join a meeting and full audio, video, and participant controls.<br /><br />With supported cameras, Zoom users can see how many people are in a room in real time on the Dashboard and on the Scheduling Display, to ensure social distancing mandates are met and meeting spaces aren't overcrowded.<br /><br />"As the world plans to safely reopen businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and government entities, we are focused on innovating across our platform to support their needs," said Oded Gal, Chief Product Officer of Zoom.<br /><br />Zoom users can also monitor a room's environment and air quality.<br /><br />"Neat Bar", a Zoom Rooms Appliance, includes an advanced set of capabilities called "Neat Sense", which lets you monitor your meeting rooms for things like air quality, humidity, carbon dioxide, and volatile organic compounds to keep occupants safe and healthy.<br /><br />People can now send a Zoom Rooms for Touch whiteboard to Zoom Chat or email.<br /><br />"If it's a personal Zoom Room, you can also send it to your chat groups. Delhi has been ranked as the most polluted capital in the world and after Diwali, the danger has set in again. <br /><br />There were multiple steps taken to control it – like banning crackers and stubble fires in Punjab and Haryana to the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal organising a massive laser light show in central Delhi to offer people a different take on Diwali. <br /><br />But it’s not just the government working on possible solutions for this problem. There are several startups that are today working for clean air. <br /><br /><strong>Ambee<br /><br /></strong>Ambee, an environmental intelligence startup gives accurate hyperlocal air quality data to developers, consumers, health researchers and media companies. It is backed by Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and former Google India head Rajan Anandan. It is also one of the startups to be selected for Google Launchpad Accelerator Program. <br /><br /><strong>Blue Sky Analytics</strong><br /><br />Another startup that offers real time data is Blue Sky Analytics. The startup uses satellite imagery to monitor air pollution in real time. Along with an app called BreeZo that offers data and creates awareness, they also have a product called Zuri which is a tool to measure and monitor farm fires and stubble burning across India.<br /><br /><strong>Nanoclean</strong><br /><br />Nanoclean is another startup which promises to turn your air conditioner into an air purifier. The startup born out of IIT Delhi was also awarded National Startup Award by former President Pranab Mukherjee for its ₹10 nasofilters to deal with Delhi’s air pollution. They also sell anti-pollution masks. <br /><br /><strong>Kaiterra</strong><br /><br />Kaiterra is a global company which is working on air pollution. It produces hardware products like air quality monitors. The Beijing-based company finds clients in India with corporations and factories that want to monitor the air around them. <br /><br /><strong>AirOK<br /></strong><br />AirOk is an IIT Madras incubated startup that offers <keyword id="297063" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Air-Purifiers">air purifiers</keyword> for commercial purposes. The startup has a variety of products – air purifiers, filters, masks, purifying bags etc. It even has a unique patented filter technology.<br />

The goal? To treat troops during space travel.</p><p>The company, AeBeZe Labs, is just three years old. In traditional startup fashion, it is based in Palo Alto, California, and has fewer than 10 people. The founder, Michael Moskowitz, is an entrepreneur who previously held positions at eBay and IDEO.</p><p>The company's app, Moodrise, provides a glimpse into how troops might be monitored for anxiety and depression in space, and the most harmful effects of mental illness staved off. The app uses slideshows of different videos, mined from the internet, to target specific neurotransmitters associated with mood. The app is intuitive to use and the videos well selected but whether it can produce a mood shift is difficult to quantify and likely depends on the user.</p><p>The phenomenon of technology addiction is proof that digital images release certain neurotransmitters in our brains. AeBeZe Labs thinks it can leverage this to improve mental health in a low-cost and accessible way. On the Moodrise app, the therapy would be described as releasing the GABA neurotransmitter, which reduces the activity of neurons and likely reduces feelings of anxiety and fear.</p><h2>A new way to cope</h2><p>The market for direct-to-consumer mental-health technology has proved viable through apps such as Headspace and Calm, but Moskowitz's bet is on providing digital-therapy technology to large organizations interested in institutional health, such as the US military and its newly created <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/us-establishes-space-force-to-support-space-command-operations-2019-12">Space Force</a>.</p><p>The renewal of the Air Force contract shows the military is listening. The first contract with the Air Force was worth $41,094 and the second $749,136. Strategies for improving mental health are desperately desired, and significant investments are being made in digital-health technology. The Department of Veterans Affairs has already begun expanding telehealth, or medical assistance delivered remotely through technology, to improve the quality of service. In fact, Moskowitz was clued into the military applications of this technology in 2016 from a former Air Force officer.</p><p>"You don't have cigarette breaks anymore," Moskowitz says. Currently, the app cannot be qualified as medical therapy, only entertainment, which should raise doubts about how effective it will really be in alleviating the mental-health crisis.</p><p>The next stage of product development has resulted in a product called Daybreak, that has been developed specifically for the US Air Force. Daybreak is already being used at the 548th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group (ISRG) at Beale Air Force base in California. A Silicon Valley startup is developing 'digital' drugs to buck up US troops in space - and spot trouble

Seoul, Nov 16 (IANS) Samsung Electronics on Monday announced the global availability of its all-new Smart Monitor -- an innovative, do-it-all screen that brings together an unprecedented suite of features for work, learning and entertainment in a single display.<br /><br />The Smart Monitor is available in the US, Canada and China at first but Samsung said it plans to launch the product in other countries from the end of this month.<br /><br />"Our new Smart Monitor is a direct response to that demand. Consumers no longer have to choose between a screen for one or the other as this display brings it all together," Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement.<br /><br />The flat-screen monitor comes in two models, with the M7 supporting ultra-high definition resolution in 32-inch and the M5 featuring full HD resolution in 32-inch and 27-inch options.<br /><br />According to the company, it is designed to meet the new needs of today's consumers, who are now working, learning and consuming entertainment at home.<br /><br />Samsung Smart Monitor incorporates mobile and PC connectivity, remote home office and learning features as well as Smart Hub, a comprehensive entertainment hub, similar to Samsung's built-in Smart TV platform.<br /><br />The new monitor provides numerous connectivity options for both PCs and smartphones. <p>The fragmented app ecosystem in China poses a major challenge for Western gaming developers, but the revenue opportunity is becoming simply too big to ignore. Gaming developers face an uphill battle in China, the #1 mobile gaming market globally

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Google Earth&#xa0;has given us tours of&#xa0;<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/weird-google-earth-pictures-2013-5?op=1">deserts, shipwrecks</a>,&#xa0;fictional lands like Middle Earth, and even revealed to us <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/google-earth-trick-proves-russia-lied-about-mh17-2015-6">lies about gunned&#xa0;down passenger planes</a>.&#xa0;<p>In its latest&#xa0;move, Google joined forces&#xa0;with <a href="http://aclima.io/">Aclima</a>, a startup that creates environmental sensors, to monitor air quality in urban environments using Google's Street View vehicles on Tuesday.&#xa0;</p><p>Google&#xa0;cars&#xa0;equipped with&#xa0;Aclima's mobile sensing technology are able to&#xa0;monitor&#xa0;molecules that can negatively affect health and climate changes like nitric oxide, black carbon, methane, carbon dioxide, ozone and Volatile Organic Compounds.&#xa0;</p><p>Aclima recently&#xa0;customized&#xa0;three Google Street View&#xa0;vehicles - the same ones that are normally used to snap photos of surroundings that appear in Google Maps - to drive around the Denver metropolitan area and assess the atmosphere&#xa0;for 750 hours.&#xa0;</p><p>The Environmental Protection Agency regulates the air with their own equipment, but the <a href="http://aclima.io/blog/posts/aclima-google-map-air-quality/">Aclima blog says</a>&#xa0;that its tools can provide us a more detailed picture of our immediate surroundings -- what we breathe in as soon as we step out of a subway station. Google and Aclima plan to bring&#xa0;the project to the San Francisco Bay Area in the Fall.&#xa0;</p><p>"With more than half of the world's population now living in cities, environmental health is becoming increasingly important to quality of life," CEO of Aclima Davida Herzl wrote on the <a href="http://aclima.io/blog/posts/aclima-google-map-air-quality/">San Francisco-based company's blog</a>. But it can't warn you when the smog outside is so heavy that those steps might do more harm than good.</p><p>The <a href="http://www.mytzoa.com/">Tzoa</a> tracker, a small wearable device that can be attached to clothing and bags, wants to be the personal health you never knew you needed, giving up-to-the-minute data on air quality, light and UV ray exposure, humidity, and atmospheric pressure.</p><p>As air pollution in urban areas continues to get worse, <a href="http://www.unep.org/urban_environment/Issues/urban_air.asp">especially in developing countries</a>, these kinds of devices will only get more common <span>- and more useful.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Kevin Hart, the co-founder and CEO of Tzoa, first came up with the idea while working at a hazardous waste site. His employer gave him a respirator, but Hart had no idea what he was being exposed to. </span></p><p>Creating an air quality tracker that can evaluate pollution both indoors and outdoors was his way of tackling the problem and empowering those around him.</p><p>Here's how the $100 Tzoa tracker calculates air quality: the device contains a small fan that brings in air particles, which then pass through a laser beam that measures the number of particles contained within. It can distinguish between PM2.5 particles, which are small and especially harmful to the lungs, and PM10 particles, like mold and pollen, that trigger allergies. </p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>An accompanying app tells users whether the air around them is dirty or clean, using personal data as well as crowdsourced information from the Tzoa community.</p><p>Hundreds of people have bought Tzoa trackers from the <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tzoa-wearable-air-quality-tracker#/story">company's recent Indiegogo campaign</a>. The device goes on sale to the public in late 2015.</p><p>This isn't the only air quality tracker out there, but Hart believes that Tzoa is unique because of the relevant data it provides. "O<span style="line-height: 1.5em;">ther indoor air quality devices exist, and they do a good job of taking VOCs, CO2, carbon monoxide, and air quality metrics, but we're doing a bigger picture," he says.
