The bank said it will be paying a coupon of 5.686 per cent for the three year bonds, according to an exchange filing. The USD denominated senior unsecured instruments will be redeemed on maturity in March 2026. HDFC Bank raises $750 million in dollar bond sale

San Francisco, Streaming giant <keyword id="128682" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="netflix" source="Orion">Netflix</keyword> has lowered the price of its subscription in more than 30 countries, in an effort to draw in subscribers who have access to a growing number of streaming options. Recent price reductions by the streaming giant include Middle Eastern countries (Yemen, Jordan, Libya and Iran), sub-Saharan African markets such as Kenya, and European nations (Croatia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria), reports The Wall Street Journal. "In Latin America, nations including Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Venezuela have seen reductions in subscription costs, as have parts of Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines," the report mentioned. The cost reductions only applied to specific Netflix tiers in the affected countries. "It definitely goes against the recent trends not just for Netflix, but for the broader streaming industry," John Hodulik, a media and entertainment analyst at UBS Group AG, was quoted as saying. "Some of these cuts on a percentage basis are substantial," he added. Netflix's Co-Chief Executive, Greg Peters, had also hinted during a January earnings call that the company is searching for markets where they might raise rates to support ongoing content expenditures. "We think of ourselves as a non-substitutable good," Peters said. According to him, the streaming giant also has a chance to get new customers in markets where it doesn't currently hold a dominant position. "We know members have never had more choices when it comes to entertainment," and the company is dedicated to providing an experience that surpasses their expectations, a Netflix spokeswoman said. In January last year, the company had raised the price for subscribers in the US and Canada. Later, in March, it bumped up its subscription prices for the UK and Ireland users. However, in November, the streaming giant had added a cheaper $6.99 per month ad-supported plan. Netflix lowers subscription costs in over 30 countries to draw in subscribers

A Mozilla study on Thursday claimed that in nearly 80 per cent of the apps reviewed on <keyword id="6355629" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="google" source="Orion">Google</keyword> Play Store, it found the data privacy labels were false or misleading based on discrepancies between the apps' privacy policies and the information apps self-reported on Google's <keyword id="847216" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="data-safety" source="Orion">Data Safety</keyword> Form. The researchers said that the system fails to help consumers make more informed choices about their privacy before purchasing or downloading one of the store's 2.7 million apps. The study uncovers serious loopholes in the Data Safety Form, which make it easy for apps to provide false or misleading information. "Consumers care about privacy and want to make smart decisions when they download apps. Google's Data Safety labels are supposed to help them do that. Unfortunately, they don't. Instead, I'm worried they do more harm than good," said Jen Caltrider, <keyword id="11154104" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="project-lead" source="Orion">Project Lead</keyword>, Mozilla. "When I see Data Safety labels stating that apps like Twitter or TikTok don't share data with third parties, it makes me angry because it is completely untrue. Of course, Twitter and TikTok share data with third parties. Consumers deserve better. Google must do better," he added. For example, Google exempts apps sharing data with "service providers" from its disclosure requirements, which is problematic due to both the narrow definition it uses for service providers and the large amount of consumer data involved. The study said that Google absolves itself of the responsibility to verify whether the information is true stating that apps "are responsible for making complete and accurate declarations" in their Data Safety labels. For the study, Mozilla compared privacy policies and labels of the 20 most popular paid apps and the 20 most popular free apps on Google Play Store. It found that 16 out of 40 apps, or 40 per cent, received a "Poor" grade, including Minecraft, Twitter, and Facebook. Around 15 apps, or 37.5 per cent, received a middle grade, "Needs Improvement", including YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, <keyword id="691301" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="whatsapp-messenger" source="Orion">WhatsApp Messenger</keyword>, and Instagram. Just six of the 40 apps received an "OK" grade. These apps were: <keyword id="1739317" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="candy-crush-saga" source="Orion">Candy Crush Saga</keyword>, Google Play Games, Subway Surfers, Stickman Legends Offline Games, PowerAmp Full Version Unlocker, and League of Stickman: 2020 Ninja. Dubai, Apr 14 () Dubai police officials are using smart helmets fitted with an infra-red camera and other Artificial Intelligence technologies to detect high body temperature of public transport users amid the coronavirus outbreak in the Gulf country, according to a media report on Tuesday.The smart helmets equipped with infrared temperature detectors take a few seconds to accurately scan people's temperature. The helmets are also equipped with face recognition technology and car number reading technology, the Khaleej Times reported.The UAE is the first country in the region to use this technology.Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan Tamim praised the Dubai Police for using the smart helmet as part of modern technologies in securing the transport sector, the paper said.Brigadier General Obaid Al Hathboor, Director of Transportation Security Department, Dubai Police, said that smart helmets scan the temperature of public transport users and measure the audience temperature with high efficiency, in addition to the presence of artificial intelligence technologies such as face recognition technology and car number reading technology."This step is in line with the administration's strategy to secure the transportation security sector in accordance with the best international standards and practices to counter the spread of coronavirus," he said.The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Monday announced 398 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 4,521. Yurii, who did not want to provide his surname in order to protect his family who live in <keyword id="11985141" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="ukraine" source="Orion">Ukraine</keyword>, said there are "hundreds" of groups like his small five person London-based group working to procure kit. Within the last two days, Yurii said the group has equipped 30 "soldiers who are British residents" and sent five vans full of military equipment – including helmets, body armor, medical supplies and satellite phones – to Ukraine. They're relying on cash donations, mostly from the Ukrainian diaspora, to purchase equipment from military surplus stores at a 70-80% discount. But there are supplies of older model helmets and police body armor people can find from a network of army surplus stores across the UK.<h2>Military surplus store owners are offering discounted equipment</h2>The owner of one military surplus store, who goes only by the nickname of Wozza, estimates that he's had more than 50 Ukrainians come into his shop in the southeast England town of Folkestone since the invasion began. They're looking to either buy equipment to send home or use to equip themselves to return to fight, he told Insider. While they're mostly after IPE — individual protective equipment — like body armor and helmets, customers are also buying socks, ballistic glasses, thermals, boots, trousers and combat smocks, Wozza said. He's now offering discounts to Ukrainian buyers. Usually he'd sell a combat smock for £40, but is selling trousers, a shirt and a smock for £20. "People are buying what they can, rather than just what they want," Tom Snape, the manager of Ranger Army Surplus Store in Surbiton, London told Insider. "We've had four phone calls already, and it's only 10am," he told Insider by telephone on Monday morning. After selling out of his limited supply of helmets over the weekend, he's now connecting customers with other stores in other parts of the country who do have supply. Both managers said the same thing happened when Russia invaded Ukraine's Crimea region in 2014 and Georgia in 2008. The surplus stores are likely going to need more kit. Yurii has no plans of stopping. "Our plan is not to stop until our victory. We are sending everything with guys who are going to the war zone, and van drivers," Yurii said, shortly before leaving to collect another van full of kit. "My granddad was a partisan, who fought Soviet and Nazi armies — so I do as well," he said. "All my family and friends are there, and I do everything to help them."
