New Delhi, Feb 27 () Shares of Mahindra CIE Automotive on Thursday closed the session marginally lower reacting to the disappointing performance of the company in December quarter results. On the BSE, the stock traded in the red for the whole session but managed to go above its opening value only at the end of the market hours. It lost as much as 8.5 per cent to its 52-week low at Rs 129 in early trading hours. It settled at Rs 140.05, down 0.67 per cent over the previous close. On the NSE, the stock's opening value equalled its intra-day high while the trading session was in progress. During the day, the scrip touched its 52-week low at Rs 130, down 7.8 per cent. Finally, the stock closed 0.60 per cent lower at Rs 140.15.In terms of volume, the number of shares traded on the NSE was more than 4.3 lakh while it was just 26,000 on the BSE.This is the 10th consecutive session that the scrip has rested in the red zone. It has lost nearly 18 per cent since February 13, on the BSE.The company on Wednesday reported 91.1 per cent loss in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 12.61 crore for December quarter as compared to Rs 142.03 crore in the year-ago period.Revenue from operations for the said quarter stood at Rs 1,722.93 crore as against Rs 1,975.02 crore in the same period of previous fiscal. Mahindra CIE Automotive shares end in red for 10th straight session

New Delhi, Apr 23 () Auto components maker Mahindra CIE Ltd on Thursday reported a 86.47 per cent decline in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 20.79 crore in the first quarter ended March 31, 2020. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 153.72 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, Mahindra CIE said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations in the first quarter stood at Rs 1,662.7 crore as compared with 2,174.39 crore in the year-ago period, said the company, which follows January-December financial year. The company said its revenue from Indian operations during the period under review stood at Rs 795.17 crore as compared with Rs 852.41 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. Europe revenue stood at Rs 880.78 crore as against Rs 1,332.48 crore in the first quarter a year ago, it added. Sales dropped due to negative market evolution and additionally because of COVID-19 impact, as a result of which drop in volumes in Italy in the first quarter was internally estimated to be an extra 20 per cent over and above the market drop, it said. In Germany and Spain, the virus impact was internally estimated to be about 10 per cent on volumes, it added. Plants in India were shut from March 23, 2020 due to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with directions from the state governments where they are located, it said. Similarly, Metalcastello (Italy) was also closed from March 23 as per orders of the Italian government. Mahindra CIE Jan-Mar PAT down 86.47 pc to Rs 20.79 cr

Technology services major <keyword id="10863" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Capgemini" source="Orion">Capgemini</keyword> on Monday said it has acquired <keyword id="13946781" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chappuis-Halder" source="Orion">Chappuis Halder</keyword> &amp; Cie (Chappuis Halder), a global strategy and management consulting firm, for an undisclosed sum. Headquartered in Luxembourg in Europe, Chappuis Halder is a nearly 150-people consulting firm, with main offices in North America, Europe, and South-East Asia, with reputation for its financial services leading expertise. With Chappuis Halder's specific industry focus, the acquisition will help Capgemini strengthen its capabilities to advise banking, wealth management and insurance clients in North America, Europe and South-East Asia, the company said in a statement. "Chappuis Halder's addition will contribute further to our in-depth expertise of Financial Services, a key condition to be able to advise and help our clients in the industry with their business transformation," said Anirban Bose, CEO of Capgemini's Financial Services Strategic Business Unit. The transaction is expected to be completed within the coming months. The acquisition will also help Capgemini's in-demand specialist consulting services in environment, social and governance (ESG) and climate risk strategy. "We are looking forward to being part of the Capgemini Group and to bringing our capabilities in helping clients in the financial services sector," said Stephane Eyraud, CEO and Founder of Chappuis Halder. It was subscribed 130.44 times on the last day of the bidding. The IPO has received bids for 74.1 crore equity shares against the IPO size of 56.85 lakh equity shares. The Rajkot-based company is a manufacturer and global supplier of forged and machined components for automobile makers. The offer from the company consisted of a fresh issue of ₹56 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) by private equity firm Rivendell PE of up to 75 lakh equity shares. The company will use the IPO proceeds to fund its long-term working capital requirements and for general corporate purposes. Rolex Rings IPO investors make 38% at listing ⁠— the auto components maker is now worth nearly half a billion dollars

Cements stocks like Shree Cements fell after a report indicated that cement companies have dropped plans to hike prices for the month of November. “Cement prices have seen some correction especially in eastern market and in western market there was a hike after Diwali, which has been reversed right now,” added Jain. The top five gainers on the Nifty 50 were all auto stocks after Morgan Stanley said that the chip shortage, which had stalled production for car makers around the world, may be easing finally. A similar commentary from Uttar Pradesh-based electronic products manufacturer Dixon Technologies took the shares higher. <div type="image" title="dixon" height="900" width="1200" msid="87736216" hostid="261"></div> Some of the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange ⁠— the largest by volume ⁠— were auto parts makers Mahindra CIE and Suprajit Engineering, and cloud solutions company Tanla Platforms. All three stocks saw nearly ten times the volume of shares traded on an average in the last five days, and all three of them gained over 5% today. Investors continued to dump shares of IndusInd Bank and Hindalco and both shares are now among the biggest losers on the Nifty 100 index in the last one month. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the billion dollar company that has a near monopoly in railway ticket bookings and catering, jumped 1.8% today. The IPO application is live from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. So far, the initial public offering (IPO) of the company has received good response from investors given it has been fully subscribed in the first two days. The IPO has received bids for 1.23 crore shares as against 1.21 crore shares for issue. However, the grey market suggests premium has turned around for the IPO as it has come down to ₹10 premium per share from ₹80 earlier reflecting a poor sentiment. UK-based CSC Computer Sciences International Operations had asked for the government’s approval to set up a limited liability partnership (LLP) worth Rs 30 crore. Proposals of Mahanagar Gas Limited, Medicamen Biotech Ltd, TutorVista Global Private Ltd, Ventura (India) Pvt Ltd, Syssmart Services LLP and Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd also the government’s clearance. 
 “In the FIPB meeting, a proposal relating to <keyword id="131506" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lupin-Ltd">Lupin Ltd</keyword> was recommended for consideration of Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) as the investment involved was above Rs1,200 crore,” the release stated. Decision on as many as 12 proposals, including Syngene International Ltd, India Value Fund IV, SME <keyword id="6357264" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="capital-market">Capital Market</keyword> Corporation, SNC-Lavalin Mauritius Ltd and Verint Systems (India) Pvt Ltd, were put off.
