The new <keyword id="10319942" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ios-15" source="Orion">iOS 15</keyword>.2 beta comes with features that were announced at WWDC earlier this year but never made it with iOS 15. One important feature that this update brings is the App Privacy Report which is another privacy feature that lets users find exactly how much data apps have on users. The new feature is available with iOS 15.1 beta which is available to developers only. If interested you can sign up your Apple ID to the Apple Developer Program website, download the configuration profile and install the update. Testing a beta version of the update may have bugs that could result in some features or apps not working properly on your iPhone. Coming back to the App Privacy Report, this feature gives users detailed information on what and how much data apps have on you. The App Privacy Report will be available in Settings with details under each app. According to Apple, it will show “how often apps have accessed your location, photos, camera, microphone, and contacts during the last seven days.” In addition to this, the App Privacy Report will even show which apps have contacted other domains and how recently they have contacted them. According to screenshots<a href="https://www.macrumors.com/2021/10/27/everything-new-ios-15-2/"> shared</a> by MacRumors, Apple lists apps with details like the Weather app accessing location information seven seconds ago. It has another tab for app network activity, another for domains contacted directly by apps, and websites visited in the app. With App Privacy Report, Apple is taking user privacy to another level and it’s like an extension of the privacy labels it introduced with iOS 14. This one shows the kind of data apps collect, and which data is used to track you, data that are linked to you and also data that isn’t linked to you. iOS 15.2 beta brings App Privacy Report that shows how apps snoop on you

It’s a new Messages Communication Safety feature that will help prevent minors from seeing nudity in photos. The feature is part of parental controls that are available through the Family Sharing feature. The <keyword id="12405159" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ios-15-2" source="Orion">iOS 15.2</keyword> beta update is currently available only to developers, and those interested in trying it out can apply for the Apple Beta Software Program. The stable release is expected to launch soon. This feature however received a lot of backlash and Apple has paused its rollout to make changes on it. As for the Messages Communication Safety feature, here’s how it will work. How does it work Through the Messages Communication Safety feature, Apple will use on-device scanning to detect if photos sent in the Messages app have any nudity in them. If nudity is detected, then Apple will blur the photo and also share a warning if a child taps on the image. Here, Apple displays a warning saying “This photo could be sensitive. Are you sure you want to view?” It also explains what naked photos are, and why they should avoid seeing them. Apple doesn’t block the image completely as it still gives options for the child to either not view, message a grownup or view. So the ultimate decision still lies on the child but with warnings and guidance on the possible implications. How to enable it This feature is opt-in meaning that it won’t be enabled by default when it’s released. It will be available under Family Sharing through which adults can manage the devices of children who are under 18. This feature can also only be enabled for devices that are set up using Family Sharing. Who is it for As mentioned above this feature will be available for devices used by minors through the Family Sharing feature. Apple users under the age of 18 can be a part of Family Sharing but it isn’t mandatory. As for children under the age of 13, account creation can be done only by a parent through Family Sharing. iOS 15.2 beta 3 brings new updates to Macro mode, iCloud Private Relay and more

iPhone users complain as WhatsApp crashes randomly; issue yet to be resolved

Apple is reportedly developing “SportsKit” framework to bring sports content on its TV platform

Communities WhatsApp has been spotted testing this feature called “communities”. According to WABetaInfo, communities on WhatsApp will allow group admins to create communities of groups which could be sub-groups or a collection of groups. Communities will also have a squared icon with rounded edges unlike group chat icons that are round in shape. This feature is expected to let group admins bring related groups together under one community so it’s easier to send messages and communicate at once. Sticker store WhatsApp has become serious about its desktop/web app. It recently launched a tool to make stickers directly from images on its desktop and web apps. WhatsApp is now testing a sticker store from where you can choose the sticker you want to send someone through the desktop or web app. You get the same sticker apps that are available on WhatsApp’s mobile apps but you can’t download them to your laptop or PC. This feature is currently available for beta testers. Message reactions WhatsApp is also working on the ability to react to messages in chats. Just like Facebook and Instagram, this feature lets you react to messages with various emojis. Based on its current tests, WhatsApp has six emoji reactions, and you can see who reacted with which emoji. This feature is currently in development with no word on when it will be released. More control for group admins WhatsApp is planning to give group admins more control with this new feature. Group admins will soon be able to delete any message sent in the group chat. If any message is deleted by the group admin, then the same will be visible by other members of the group. This feature is expected to arrive in a future update of WhatsApp. Forward stickers without saving them WhatsApp is also adding a shortcut button to stickers so you can easily forward them without having to first save it. At present, you have to save the sticker and then open the menu to forward it. But this feature that is available to beta testers will let you forward a sticker easily.
