 Right now, users can only play the single player version of the game but there are plans to launch a multiplayer version soon. The mobile game was developed by Threye Military Games in collaboration with IAF, using Unity 3D's Cinemachine. It is available for download in both Android and iOS play stores. The game also has an option for users to apply and appear for recruitment into the IAF from within the app itself. This isn't the only game that the IAF has launched in the country to get more of the youth to engage with aerial operations of the Indian Armed Forces.

First impressions When you first log into this new game, it kicks off with a tutorial on the basics of flying a plane. The graphics aren't phenomenal, but for a flight simulator the navigation works well.

 You start off by getting the plane off the tarmac. Once you're in the air, you can adjust your flight height by pivoting the smartphone upwards or downwards. Moving the phone to one side or the other changes the direction in which the plane is flying.

Mumbai, Apr 3 () State-owned Air India's pilot unions on Friday opposed the 10 per cent cut in employees' allowances, terming the decision as "unequal" and that goes against the spirit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to the companies to ensure that the salaries of the employees are not slashed amid the coronavirus pandemic. In a joint letter to Air India chief Rajiv Bansal on Friday, the Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) and Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) said the reduction in allowance was against the labour and employment ministry's advisory to all employers of public or private establishments not to terminate their employees or reduce their wages. "We, the flying crew of Air India feel, immensely let down by the self-serving approach of the Executive Management Committee in the name of cost cutting measures. The committee has completely disregarded the appeal made by the prime minister and the advisory from the labour and employment ministry," the pilot unions said. Two days after Modi's appeal during his televised address to the nation on imposition of a 21-day lockdown to curb spread of the coranvirus infection, to companies not to cut employees salaries (due to the lockdown), Air India decided to reduce 10 per cent of allowances paid to all employees, except cabin crew, for a period of three months to tide over the economic fallout of COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus. The reduction, however, did not impact the basic pay, house rent allowance and variable dearness allowance. On March 18, the airline had decided to withdraw special allowance to pilots while revising downward the layover allowance for cabin crew. Significantly, flying allowance accounts for as much as 70 per cent in a pilots' salaries. "By effecting a 10 per cent cut in allowances for all employees, the category that has been affected the most are pilots. Flying-related allowances of pilots' wages allowances constitute to 70 per cent of the gross emoluments. "By affecting a cut only on allowances, the directors and senior management executives have deviously exempted themselves from any meaningful austerity cut as their allowances are extremely small while pilots and cabin crew who are the frontline warriors flying and risking their lives, are forced to bear the maximum cut," the unions said in the letter. It also said that the fact remains that the core of an airline is the airplanes and the staff who keep them flying and that every other department exists to support them in this endeavour. "As you are aware, the flying allowance is not paid on-time. While all the other employees are paid in full, flying crew alone are made to bear the brunt with delayed flying allowance. Implementation of sham austerity measures to cut the flying allowances on top of all this would be adding insult to injury," it said. Reminding the management that "many flying crew" are held at "home quarantine/self-quarantine" after operating international and special flights, the unions said "one of our crew has been diagnosed COVID-19 positive and is hospitalised". The pilot unions, in the letter, also questioned the airline's decision to enter into a contract with other countries to repatriate their citizens on commercial charters which does not come under the purview of the Essential Services Maintenance Act. "We are hopeful you will treat all your employees equally. The pay cut on allowance is unequal, and not acceptable to us. We request you to advise the senior executive management to rise above self during these testing times, to draw up fair cost cutting measures and not to manipulate the system to safeguard their salaries by merely burdening the frontline soldiers of the national carrier," the letter stated. Air India pilot unions oppose 10 pc cut in employees' allowances

However, the force is now under threat from China and Pakistan’s constantly and rapidly modernising air forces, revealed a top US think-tank. It also underlined that resolving this "crisis" should be Indian government’s top priority. 
 
"Despite being a world-class combat arm, the IAF's falling end strength and problematic force structure, combined with its troubled acquisition and development programs, threaten India's air superiority over its rapidly modernising rivals, China and Pakistan," said the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. 
 
The report, titled "The Manifold Travails of the Indian Air Force" has been written by Ashley Tellis, a top American expert on India and South Asia, whose counsel is sought by governments in both the countries. The report argues that India needs this air dominance for deterrence stability in southern Asia and also for preserving the strategic balance in the Indo-Pacific region. 
 
"Resolving India's airpower crisis, therefore, should be a priority for New Delhi," said the report. 
 
It added that as of early this year, IAF's fighter force is weaker than the numbers suggest, while drawing attention to many of its frontline aircraft are obsolete. 
 
Comparing China and Pakistan’s air forces to that of India, it said that they have about 750 advanced air defense/ multirole fighters as compared to IAF's 450-odd equivalents. 
 
"The IAF's desire for 42 45 squadrons by 2027 some 750 800 aircraft is compelling, if India is to preserve the airpower superiority it has enjoyed in southern Asia since 1971," the report said. 
 
While concluding, Tellis said that IAF's likelihood of reaching its 2027 goal with a high proportion of advanced fighters seems poor.

Due to open-source tracking sites like <a href="https://www.flightradar24.com/">Flight Radar 24</a>, A Swedish site which maps real-time flight movements, anyone with an internet connection can track and identify the positions of Indian Air Force jets.  What you see above is the movement of an <keyword id="3090622" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Antonov-AN-32">Antonov AN-32</keyword> aircraft which is used for air-dropping cargo, carrying passengers, medevac, firefighting, skydiving or paratrooping roles. This is a risk to India’s fighter pilots as it exposes their movement. However, the users are defending their actions by saying that the positions of IAF jets are not secret. According to the one of the people tweeting out positions, Manu Gomez, Indian Air Force officials have overlooked an important security measure. Gomez told <a href="https://thelede.co.in/can-iaf-prevent-abhinandans/">the Lede</a>, “Military planes can use an encrypted mode and we will not be able to see it, they just have to change the mode of the transponder”. The fix seems obvious but may not have been carried out yet. At the moment, there is the only plane flying in Pakistan's air space at the moment, according to Flight Radar, however its identity seems to be encrypted.

A free Swedish flight tracking site is revealing crucial military movements along the Kashmir border

50 H-bombs are 'waiting to be used or misused' after Turkey cuts power to US airbase

India has finally decided to take forward its negotiations with Russia about the mega projects that were stalled in the past. 
 
As per TNN sources, the talks about jointly developing a futuristic fifth-generation fighter aircraft (FGFA) and upgrading the existing <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Sukhoi-wants-Tata-to-manufacture-parts-for-SSJ100/articleshow/51026262.cms">Sukhoi</a>- 30MKI jets into 'Super Sukhois' with advanced avionics and weapons have begun amidst India and Russia. 
 
However, India and France are also close to inking a deal worth 7.8 billion euro deal for 36 Rafale jets, but the defence ministry has acknowledged that these 36 fighters will not be enough for India’s air combat power which is on a down track.

 As of now, the <keyword id="15141" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-Air-Force">Indian Air Force</keyword> just has 33 fighter squadrons, which includes 11 obsolete MiG-21 and MiG-27 squadrons that are up for retirement. However, to safeguard the border from the evil intentions of China and Pakistan, IAF requires at least 42 jets. 
 
The defence ministry is also considering a "multi-pronged strategy" so that it can up its airpower. This includes introducing the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Made-in-India-light-combat-aircraft-Tejas-inducted-in-Air-Force/articleshow/53002316.cms">home-made </a>light combat aircraft, called <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/10-things-you-should-definitely-know-about-the-brand-new-Made-in-India-fighter-jet-Tejas/articleshow/53007047.cms">Tejas</a>, and look out for a second line of producing fighter jets in the country, including the American F/A-18, F-16, and Swedish Gripen-E. 
 
Talking of these 5th-generation fighters, the final R&amp;D design contract is almost ready to be inked, for the Indian "perspective multi-role fighter", which is a variant of Sukhoi T-50 or PAK-FA, the Russian single-seat FGFA. 
 
"Apart from resolving technical and cost issues, Russia has also agreed to allow IAF test pilots to fly its prototypes now," a source told <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/defence/india-pushes-talks-with-russia-for-5th-generation-fighters-and-super-sukhois/articleshow/53147669.cms">TNN</a>.

The first contract was signed in 2007, which was then followed up in 2010 with a $295 million preliminary design contract. 
 
The contract involves producing 127 such fighters in India would cost about $25 billion. 
 
"The technical requirements should be finalised this year, with the contract being inked next year," said the source.

Last April, Singh was flying a MIG-21 Bison jet above the small Indian village of Halwara when an electrical system failure caused all the cockpit lights to turn off. Unable to read the instruments to operate the aircraft, Singh removed his mask and held a lighter in his mouth to illuminate the instruments in the cockpit.
Remarkably, he was able to successfully land the fighter plane without additional damage. On the two month anniversary of the miraculous flight, Singh's jet engine experienced a total loss of engine power due to a collision with a bird. Again, Singh was able to glide the plane to a safe landing. 
"His ability to maintain his composure in a grave emergency situation, courage, creative thinking, and professionalism has been able to successfully recover two aircrafts at night in limited visibility conditions without any damage and has set an excellent professional example for other to emulate," the Indian Air Force said, <a href="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Honour-for-pilot-who-landed-jet-despite-snags/articleshow/29377818.cms" target="_blank">reports The Times of India</a>.
Wing Commander Singh <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaurya_Chakra" target="_blank">was awarded the </a><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaurya_Chakra" target="_blank">Shaurya Chakra</a>, India's military decoration for valor, courageous action or self-sacrifice.

Indian Pilot Lands Fighter Jet Successfully Amid Complete Electric Failure - Twice In Two Months

<keyword id="15141" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Air-Force">Indian Air Force</keyword> (IAF) got the first squadron of ‘Made in India’ fighter jets ‘<keyword id="6376012" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tejas">Tejas</keyword>’, now named 'Flying Daggers 45'. 
 
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) handed over two Tejas aircrafts, which were inducted in Bengaluru, and seven more will be added by 2017 to become fully operational. 
 
All squadrons of Tejas will be made up of 20 planes in total, including four in reserve. 
 
These Light Combat Aircrafts (LCA) entered Air Force 33 years after the project was conceived, giving a major boost to Indian defence aviation system. 
 
Tejas will eventually replace the ageing fleet of MiG-21 planes. 
 
Here are the other details about Tejas that you should not miss 
 1. The name Tejas, which means radiance, was given by former Indian Prime Minister <keyword id="47100" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Atal-Bihari-Vajpayee">Atal Bihari Vajpayee</keyword>. 
 
2. The first Commanding Offier of the ‘Flying Daggers 45’ will be Group Captain M Rangachari. He will have seven officers under him 
initially, 42 air warriors and about 20 non-commissioned officers. 
 
3. IAF's squadron number 45, 'Flying Daggers', has to its credit the shooting down of a Pakistani naval surveillance aircraft in 1999, some 300 km northeast of Karachi, killing all 16 people on board. 
 
4. Tejas is far superior to Pakistan's JF-17 built jointly with China. 
 
5. While the idea to have an indigenous fighter aircraft was conceptualised in 1970s, actual work started on the aircraft only in the 1980s and the first flight took place in January 2001. 
 
6. It is pegged as the world's smallest and lightest supersonic fighter, a project which was started in 1983 with Rs 560 crore funds. Now, the total cost stands at around Rs 55,000 crore. 
 
7. The upgraded version of Tejas, with Active Electrically Scanned Array Radar, Unified Electronic Warfare Suite, mid-air refuelling capacity and advanced beyond the vision range missiles, will cost between Rs 275 crore and Rs 300 crore. 
 
8. Due to its small size and the extensive usage of carbon composits, Tejas’ radar cross section is very less compared to other aircrafts like MiG-29, F-16. 
 
9. Tejas will have a reach of at least 400-km and will mostly be used for close air-to-ground operations. For any strikes which happen deep into enemy territory will have to be undertaken by Russian-origin Sukhoi-30MKIs or the Rafales. 
 
10. IAF plans to induct over 80 aircraft with better specifications known as Tejas 1A.
