"Even though he's grown up now, it's my responsibility to look after him and the rest of his family."To be honest, I didn't consider the consequences of leaving my old life behind. It just felt like the right thing to do. But when my daughter-in-law put her in my husband's arms, she'd drift off hearing his heartbeats. She and my son trusted us entirely.When we arrived, I was 59 and still had a lot of energy. The techniques we used reflected the way we raised our son when he was growing up.It never occurred to us or my son and daughter-in-law to pay us even the smallest amount for childcare. They pay us in love. We preferred to think of their salaries going toward their future as they progressed in their careers as tech executives. It has helped them reach their potential; we're so proud they've come far.We live in a big house where everyone has their own space. We share a kitchen, though, and eat together. We celebrate all the holidays and festivals, whether Indian or American.Still, I feel I've sacrificed for our philosophy of having a village to raise children. I don't have much of a network of friends in Minnesota. Sanjeev Prasad, 61, and his wife Sadhana, 57, say their son, Shrey Sagar, and his wife, Shubhangi Sinha, should pay them $650,000 if the couple does not give them a grandchild within a year, according to the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-61424869">BBC</a>.The older couple, who live in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, told the <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/dehradun/couple-sue-son-bahu-for-depriving-them-of-grand-kid/articleshow/91503612.cms">Times of India</a> that the sum is what they spent on Shrey, who is now 35. "He returned to India in 2007 due to the economic recession abroad. He had lost his job and could not find another for over two years. I supported him financially during this period as well." He added that he arranged a marriage for his son with Shubhangi, now 31, after the younger man finally secured a job. However, he accused the couple of "immense mental harassment" by not giving them a child despite being married for six years now. Sanjeev Prasad said the young couple live in separate states because of work, and that their daughter-in-law doesn't stay with them, which has "added to (their) sufferings" and caused the older couple "immense pain." Sunak is incidentally the son-in-law of Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy. And, he has been appointed as the Chief Secretary to the Treasury. He was also a part of Theresa May’s government as the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Preeti Patel has achieved a new milestone as Britain’s first India-origin home secretary, and Alok Sharma has been chosen to be the new International Development Secretary. But, Johnson’s connection with India doesn’t end there. India’s son-in-law Johnson called himself the ‘son-in-law’ of India in an open letter he wrote to the Indian diaspora earlier this month. "When I was with Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi, I stressed that the UK and India are two modern democracies who should work closely together to promote trade and prosperity, improve global security and tackle the challenges our countries face," he stated. Against this backdrop, Ratan <keyword id="8555" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata">Tata</keyword> has expressed his "appreciation to all those involved in the NCLT, and particularly the high integrity of the judicial process". Asserting that it is not about winning or losing, Tata said in a tweet, "it is all about the pride one gets in witnessing the high integrity of our judiciary, the fairness and the competence of everybody in the process". He also said that fairness and justice, if upheld, will make the nation "great". "I can only express my greatest admiration for the professionalism and fairness of the legal process and express my appreciation to all concerned," Tata said. Earlier this week, the NCLT dismissed the waiver application by the Mistry camp filed against Tata Sons. The petitions were filed by two firms belonging to Cyrus Mistry's family, and sought waiver of an eligibility condition for moving the forum against Tata Sons. Collectively, the laws deregulate the buying and selling of agricultural goods, leaving farmers exposed to the uncertainties of an open market and potential exploitation by corporations.Meanwhile, record numbers of farmers in India are committing suicide, and experts fear the farming laws could drive even more people to the brink."The new laws that they have passed, we call them death warrants of farmers and laborers," farmer Kewal Singh of Punjab said.Agriculture sustains over 40% of the population in India. And as COVID-19 ravaged the country this year, it's farmers who have kept India's rural economy afloat. But the majority of farms are small, family-run operations, often at the mercy of loan sharks."This is the kind of farming community which is incredibly vulnerable to all kinds of uncertainties," said Vikram Patel, a professor at Harvard University's TH Chan School of Public Health. "Many of these farmers don't have any surety the banks demand in order to give them loans, so they borrow money from loan sharks, who are of course pretty ruthless. How will I marry my children? How will we sustain ourselves?'"Without her son to provide an income, another grieving parent, Naseemo Singh, is struggling to scratch a living."Now we all will have to work. This house has women. I am the old mother-in-law. I have a daughter-in-law and a daughter. We all will have to find some work for our sustenance," she said.She's now joined other grieving parents on the protest front lines to fight against laws they believe will only lead to more tragedy."I will not stop protesting for what is right," she said. India has a farmer suicide epidemic - and farmers are protesting new laws they fear will make things worse

<keyword id="6356895" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Cyrus-Mistry">Cyrus Mistry</keyword> recently decided to take bitter feud between him and <keyword id="472891" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata-Groups">Tata Groups</keyword> to the court filing a petition against the group. However, no interim relief was given to petitioners by <keyword id="6354457" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Company-Law-Tribunal">National Company Law Tribunal</keyword> in its first hearing on the case of oppressive conduct against <keyword id="46894" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata-Sons">Tata Sons</keyword>. 
 The judge also issued a stay preventing any interim application being filed in any of the other courts. The more than two hour long hearing saw lawyer A Sundaram charge allegations against <keyword id="6360722" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="ratan-tata">Ratan Tata</keyword> and Tata Sons. The date of the next hearing was fixed for 31st of January and 1st of February. 
 The Mistry’s coucel said that he shouldn’t be removed from the board of Tata Sons; there should not be any securities which results in the dilution of the present paid up equity capital held by the petitioners in Tata Sons. The council also said that there should not be any change in Articles of Association unless allowed by the court. They also spoke about irregularities in <keyword id="86568" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Air-Asia">Air Asia</keyword> and how on 24th of October , Mistry wanted to discuss the <keyword id="6358918" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Deloitte">Deloitte</keyword> report that highlighted these irregularities. Sundaram also said that the then chairman wanted to propose a framework of governance but instead he got removed. 
 
They also linked Tata Sons and Ratan Tata with the Rs 22 crore fraudulent transactions alleged to have been carried out in the conglomerate's joint venture airline AirAsia India. It said as part of the transactions, the salt-to-software conglomerate at the behest of Tata, had dealings with Hamid Reza Malakotipour, an alleged sanctioned global terrorist. On both allegations, they have cited the report by Deloitte which conducted a forensic investigation on AirAsia India. 
 
Sundaram also tabled accusations against Ratan Tata of insider trading and the influence of Lord Bhattacharya in decisions of the group. 
 
The judicial member BSV Prakash Kumar asked petitioners why they Mistry had not raised these issues earlier and also asked them to show proof of these accusations. 
 
Tata Sons was represented by Abhishek Manu Singhvi. 
 
Mistry- the former chairman of Tata Sons, was ousted on 24th October.
