Mumbai, Kerala-based ESAF Small Finance Bank on Monday filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with markets regulator <keyword id="5083555" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Securities-and-Exchange-Board-of">Securities and Exchange Board of</keyword> India for an IPO. As per the DRHP, the aggregate issue size is up to ₹997.78 crore, comprising of a fresh issue component of up to ₹800 crore and an Offer for Sale up to ₹197.78 crore by promoter and other selling shareholders i.e <keyword id="8150050" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="PNB-MetLife-India-Insurance-Company">PNB Metlife India Insurance Company</keyword>, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Ltd, <keyword id="4412564" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pi-Ventures-LLP">PI Ventures LLP</keyword>, and John Chakola. The net proceeds from the fresh issue will be used to augment the bank's Tier 1 capital (primarily loans, advances and investment portfolio) to meet future capital requirements. The company may consider a pre-IPO placement of up to ₹300 crore, subject to counsel from the lead managers. As per the CRISIL report, ESAF is one of the leading small finance banks in terms of yield on advances, AUM growth rate, and share of retail deposits. It currently operates across 21 states and two Union Territories with 550 branches, 421 customer service centres (which are operated by its business correspondents), 12 business correspondents, 158 banking agents and 327 ATMs and serves over 4.68 million customers. As of March 2021, ESAF's gross advances stood at ₹8,415 crore, compared with ₹6,606.51 crore a year ago and total deposits were at ₹8,999.43 crore against ₹7,028.38 crore. Additionally, the DRHP states that the bank will continue to focus on its rural and semi-urban franchisees and increase deposits across NRIs and CASA. As on date, it stands to have the highest share of retail deposits as a percentage to the total deposits when compared to the other small finance banks. ESAF Small Finance Bank The Kerala-based ESAF Small Finance Bank had filed DRHP in January and subsequently got the approval from SEBI at the end of March. However, the bank delayed its initial public offering due to the volatile market conditions and said it would take a call on ₹976-crore initial public offering (IPO) after September. The ₹976-crore IPO of ESAF Small Finance Bank will comprise a fresh issue worth ₹800 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) aggregating up to ₹176.2 crore. Kalyan Jewellers Kerala based Jewellery maker, Kalyan Jewellers, is also expected to launch a ₹1,750 crore initial public offering (IPO) in <a href="http://www.marketsguruji.com/upcoming-ipos-in-india/">November</a>. The ₹1,750 crore IPO will be the largest in its sector. The issue will consist of a fresh fundraise of ₹1,000 crore and offer of sale by promoter TS Kalyanaraman and private equity firm Warburg Pincus of ₹750 crore. Burger King One of India'sIndia's fastest-growing food chains, Burger King, is also in line to raise as much as ₹1,000 crore by initial public offering. The firm aims to utilise the funds to double the number of restaurants by 2025, where it currently operates 216 in India, as per its DRHP. Burger King IPO is also likely to hit the market in November this year. Bajaj Energy The ₹5,450 crore IPO of Uttar Pradesh-based, one of the largest private-sector thermal generation companies, Bajaj Energy, is expected to hit the market by the end of this year. The IPO comprises fresh issuance of shares aggregating up to ₹5,150 crore and an offer for sale of scrips up to ₹300 crore by the promoter Bajaj Power Ventures, according to its DRHP. New Delhi, Apr 19 () Kerala-based ESAF Small Finance Bank has expressed its commitment for going public by listing its stock in line with the RBI's requirement and the money raised will help support the country's economy hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, promoters and promoter group together hold 77.94 per cent stake in the bank, which commenced its operation in March 2017. Besides, SIDBI Trustee Company Ltd-A/C Samridhi Fund holds 12.24 per cent stake in the bank. Speaking to , ESAF Small Finance Bank Managing Director K Paul Thomas said, "We have got the approval from Sebi for the initial public offering only in March. We have time till March 2021 and we hope that things will be normal by that time." Thomas, who holds 7.29 per cent stake in the bank in his individual capacity, said that making any prediction about the timeline at this point of time is difficult but going forward, things should improve. In terms of the licensing guidelines, a small finance bank is required to list its equity on the stock exchanges within a period of three years from reaching a net worth of Rs 500 crore. Talking about various efforts undertaken by the bank to help poor and hapless during the ongoing nation-wide lockdown, Thomas said, "We are not only providing banking service but engaging to support underprivileged especially stranded migrant workers in meeting daily needs under the corporate social responsibility initiative. The bank has launched mobile clinics called 'Bandhu Clinics' to cater to medical needs of migrant workers especially from eastern India in Kerala and also set up a dedicated helpline number for them, he said. On the banking side, the bank has launched COVID-19 care loan, he said adding that it is a pre-approved loan for getting started once the lockdown is over. As about 96 per cent of customers are small borrowers, the bank has provided a three-month moratorium in default mode as per the RBI guidelines of March 27 to help them in these difficult times. Citing the experience of the bank during the devastating Kerala flood in 2018, he said small businesses if given timely financial support are back on their feet quickly. "Keeping that in mind, the bank is ready with products for our different sets of borrowers and disbursement will start quickly after the lockdown is over," he added. Bank branches and ATMs across the 17 states and union territories are functioning and providing help to customers and the public at large, he added. At 10:05 am, the share price of Suryoday Small Finance Bank was hovering around ₹283, down by 7% over the issue price. The ‘new-age’ small finance bank floated its ₹581 crore initial public offer (IPO) earlier this month. The IPO was oversubscribed by 2.37 times, with retail investors leading the fray. Suryoday Small Finance Bank (SSFB) plans to boost its Tier-1 capital from the proceeds of the IPO. This, it says, will be used for meeting future capital requirements. Tier-1 capital refers to the core capital of a bank that consists of equity shares and retained earnings. It is used to measure the bank’s financial strength and its capital adequacy. The grey market premium for SSFB’s shares was hovering in the negative, meaning the grey market expected the bank’s shares to list lower than the issue price. It is worth noting that grey market premium is not an official measure of market premium. SSFB commenced its microfinance operations in 2009. It received the small finance bank (SFB) licence from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 2016. Prior to getting approval to operate as a small finance bank from the Reserve Bank of India, SSFB operated as a non-banking finance corporation and offered small ticket-size loans to women from weaker sections of the society. SSFB serves customers in the unbanked and underbanked categories. It has been serving these segments for over a decade now. “Suryoday Small Finance Bank is among the leading SFBs in India in terms of net interest margins, return on assets, yields and deposit growth and had the lowest cost-to-income ratio among SFBs in India in fiscal 2020,” a report by Axis Capital said. Suryoday Small Finance Bank shareholders lost 7% of their investment within minutes of listing

New Delhi, Jan 6 () ESAF Small Finance Bank on Monday filed draft papers with markets regulator Sebi to float a Rs 976-crore initial public offering.
 The IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 800 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) aggregating up to Rs 176.2 crore, according to the draft prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
 The bank, in consultation with its book running lead managers may consider a pre-IPO placement of up to Rs 300 crore. If it is undertaken, the amount raised will be reduced from the fresh issue, the draft papers noted.
 The proceeds from the fresh issue will be used to augment the bank's tier-1 capital (primarily loans or advances and investment portfolio) to meet future capital requirements.
 The public issue is being managed by Axis Capital, Edelweiss Financial Services, ICICI Securities and IIFL Securities.
 The Kerala-based bank currently operates in 16 states and 1 union territory through its 403 branches and 38 ultra-small branches, serving over 3.73 million customers.
 The bank's net profit increased from Rs 24.06 crore in September 2018 to Rs 92.44 crore in September 2019 and the interest earned increased from Rs 472.25 crore in September 2018 to Rs 660.68 crore in September 2019.
 The bank will continue to focus on its rural and semi urban franchisees and increase deposits across non-resident Indians, among others, according to the draft papers.

The Equitas Small Finance Bank shares, listed at ₹31, which is at a 6% discount to the IPO price band set at ₹32-33 per share. A total traded quantity of 4.48 lakh shares changed hands on BSE, amounting to a turnover of ₹1.38 crore. The company will trade with the symbol of 'EQUITASBNK' on the Indian stock exchanges. Tepid listing was already on the cards The investor pessimism for ₹518 crore IPO of Equitas Small Finance Bank was evident ahead of the listing — the company clocked in the lowest subscriptions compared to other IPOs in 2020 so far. The IPO was subscribed 2 times on the last day of bidding, and the non-institutional Investor portion of the IPO wasn't even fully subscribed. Most of the brokerage reports highlighted various risk factors According to ICICI Direct, for Equitas Small Finance Bank, new products and entry in new geography pose a risk of non-performing assets. Currently, the company has a 55% concentration of loan portfolio in Tamil Nadu and nearly 13% in Maharashtra. Angel Broking also said in its IPO note that the fresh formation of bad loans from moratorium books would keep provisions high and return ratios compressed, and could pose a concern for Equitas SFB. "We believe investors should wait for price discovery before making any investment decision," they added.
