The company said that the total payout of the interim dividend is ₹10.86 crore. The said dividend on equity shares will be credited to the members as per the records of the depositories as beneficial owners of the equity shares, as on November 22. The interim dividend will be paid on or before December 10, 2021. EaseMyTrip has announced its first dividend in April 2021 almost a month after its listing on the stock exchange. The latest development comes soon after EaseMyTrip announced its financial result for July to September quarter of 2021. The company reported over 330% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit. The gross booking revenue (GBR) stood at ₹895.1 crore in the June to September quarter. “EaseMyTrip has a uniquely sustainable and profitable model and our results have consistently demonstrated this all the time. Even in this fiscal, we witnessed phenomenal growth across all segments in the H1FY22 [first half of financial year 2022]. It also reflects a strong recovery of India's travel sector, which was severely impacted by the pandemic,” Nishant Pitti, chief executive and cofounder of EaseMyTrip, said. The company offers access to more than 400 international and domestic airlines, over one million hotels as well as train/bus tickets and taxi rentals across India. EaseMyTrip announces interim dividend of 50% after stellar profit growth

However, within minutes of trading the share price fell to ₹204 at 10.13 am. Since its listing, the company’s market value rose to ₹2,305 crore. In the grey market, the shares of the company were trading at ₹160-165, as per <a href="https://www.livemint.com/market/ipo/easy-trip-planners-ipo-grey-market-premium-listing-gains-allocation-dates-in-10-points-11615094894205.html">reports.</a> However, the grey market is not an official measure of the market premium. The company had seen its IPO being oversubscribed by 159.33 times the offer value, with its QIB portion being subscribed 78 times, HNI 384.26 times and retail 70.78 times. EaseMyTrip’s IPO comes at a time when the fears of another lockdown are surging in the country, which could potentially affect travel. With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, several states have issued advisory while many cities are now subject to lockdowns or night curfews. However, ahead of its IPO, EaseMyTrip seemed optimistic about the travel industry. “In our third quarter of 2020, we have already recovered 70% of where we were during the same period last year,” Prashant Pitti, director at Easy Trip Planners (the parent company of EMT) told Business Insider in an interview. The company is an exception among a large pool of internet companies, which have tried to get listed – EaseMyTrip has bootstrapped its way to the public markets. Founded in 2008, the company is India’s second largest travel aggregator. EMT claims to have achieved profitability and calls itself “the only profitable company among key OTAs (online travel aggregators) in India”. According to a CRISIL report, as of FY20, EMT had a market share of 5% in India. However, the company believes that it would have gained market share in the last year. The online penetration, defined as a share of bookings done online through websites of the service providers or through online travel agencies (OTAs), of the Indian travel industry accounted for 56-58% in FY20. The analysts further expect the share of online penetration to 67-68% in FY23, supported by growth in online transactions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Justified valuations The ICICI Direct report highlighted that taking cognisance of the huge growth opportunities for EaseMyTrip and a lean cost of operations that would aid the flow of profitability to the bottom line — “it is an attractive issue.” According to Choice Broking, the company is available at a P/E of 65.3x on FY20 numbers — “which is reasonably priced”. The price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio shows the price that the market is willing to pay for a stock based on its earnings. Higher the P/E, the more expensive the stock. Nazara holds the licenced mobile gaming rights of popular cartoon characters like Chhota Bheem, Motu Patlu and Shikari Shambhu. It also helps that the company is backed by ace stock market guru Rakesh Jhunjhunwaala. The stock market expert holds 11.38% shares in the company. Analysts too have been bullish about the technology company’s market debut and the potential in the Indian gaming industry. “The gaming industry is set to witness over 30% CAGR (compound annual growth rate) over 2020-2023 (estimated) on the back of high mobile penetration, increasing internet penetration and increasing number of gamers. Nazara has a widespread presence both in terms of geography and product portfolio which offers strong growth visibility,” said a report by Aditya Birla Capital. Further, with funds of ₹668 crore in its balance sheet, CarTrade is well positioned and plans to capture adjacent business opportunities such as insurance, financing, servicing of vehicles, accessories and refurbishment and sale of cars. The public issue of the company is opening with a price band of ₹1,585-1,618 per share. Half of the issue size has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 35% for retail investors and the remaining 15% for non-institutional investors. Analysts at Choice Broking have similar opinions about the company. “CarTrade is an electronic exchange focusing on auto sector and thus there is no peer company having similar business operations. At a higher price band...we feel it is attractive considering its scalable business model, profitable operations and business growth opportunities in the auto sector value chain,” said the report. The company’s revenue from operations have increased at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) rate of 26.4% over FY18-FY21. CarTrade offers a unique play on rising digitisation of new and pre-owned vehicle translation value chain/ecosystem, said a report by ICICIdirect. “We assign ‘subscribe’ rating to the issue for listing gains.
