The company will open its initial public offering (IPO) today, May 20. The company is looking to raise ₹412 crore through the IPO with a price band of ₹243 - ₹256 per share. The issue comprises fresh shares worth ₹161 crore and an offer for sale up to 98.35 lakh equity shares by existing promoters and shareholders. The proceeds from the IPO will be used to repay debt, funding working capital, buy equipment for data centers, investment in eMudhra INC for augmenting its business development, sales, marketing and other related costs to growth. The company is engaged in the business of providing digital trust services and enterprise solutions like individual/organizational certificates, digital signature certificates etc. The firm has issued more than 50 million digital signature certificates since inception. It caters to all kinds of subscribers who use digital signature certificates for income tax return filing, filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (Registrar of Companies), tenders, foreign trade, banking, railways and many other needs. eMudhra IPO opens today — Check out important details related to the IPO

The listing gains were unexpected as the unofficial grey market indicated that shares of the digital signature certificate provider would make a weak listing — possibly at a discount of ₹10. The eMudhra IPO was open for subscription from May 20 to May 24. It was subscribed 2.72 times. Analysts however ask the investors to ‘hold’ the stock for long term gains. Not only are its revenues growing steadily, it has also been able to improve its market share. “It has a good list of its blue-chip clientele and has good growth prospects in the long term. Investors can hold if having a long term view whereas others can book profits,” said Manoj Dalmia, founder and director at Proficient Equities Private. Earlier too, many analysts suggested that investors should subscribe to the IPO on account of its financial performance and a unique business model. eMudhra’s profitability has been rising consistently in the last three years as it has made a profit of 25 crore in FY21 as compared to ₹17 crore in FY20 along with steady growth in revenue. However, even the most favourable analysis also did not expect a good debut due to volatile markets. "emudra is operating in a highly competitive segment. In fact, over half – 52.4% of - the most well-paid people in the country belong to the IT sector, as per a report. The sector which contributed the least to job creation was procurement and the trade sector at a mere 0.3% share in the jobs created in the last financial year. “The economy has seen a severe downturn in the past two years and it started to show a positive development trajectory, India’s hiring industry has seen quarter-on-quarter growth, with startups hiring in significant numbers and creating huge employment opportunities,” said Raj Das, Global co-founder &amp; CEO of Hirect India. Hiring in white collar jobs started to recoup after being disrupted by the pandemic's second wave in April 2021. “After a sharp decline in April and a flattening out in May, India's hiring trends hit a high in June, progressing across various industries,” the report said. Bangalore, which is the IT hub of India, also remained as the jobs hub with a 17.6% share in the jobs created. This was followed by the national capital at 11.5% share. The financial capital of Mumbai came a close third with 10.4% share. Noida and other cities accounted for a total of 60% of employment, the report said.
