The police in <keyword id="6357713" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>'s Bulandshahr district have lodged an FIR against two senior officials of <keyword id="749437" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Twitter-India">Twitter India</keyword> over the social media platform putting up a distorted map of <keyword id="3658" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword>. The FIR was lodged at the Khurja Nagar police station on Monday evening on the basis of a complaint by an office-bearer of right wing Bajrang Dal. The map, which showed the Union Territories of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir outside India, was noticed on Monday, leading to an uproar by <keyword id="50390" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Netizens">netizens</keyword>. <keyword id="6354616" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Twitter">Twitter</keyword> had removed that map on Monday evening. "The world map does not show Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir as parts of India. This is not a coincidence. This act has hurt the sentiments of Indians, including me," Bajrang Dal's western UP convenor Praveen Bhati said in the complaint. The FIR names Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari and News Partnerships Head Amrita Tripathi as accused who have been booked under Indian Penal Code section 505 (2) (public mischief). Charges under Information Technology Act section 74 (publication for fraudulent purpose) have also been invoked in the case, according to the FIR, seen by PTI. The map's glaring distortion, which appeared on the career section of Twitter website under the header 'Tweep Life', had triggered a heavy backlash from netizens on Monday as they demanded strict action against the microblogging platform that has flouted various rules on multiple occasions in the past. Uttar Pradesh police book Twitter India head over a distorted Indian map shown on the social media platform

The <keyword id="6360789" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Modi-Government">Modi government</keyword> has decided to be strict against the depiction of a wrong map of India, which includes showing Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (<keyword id="44062" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="PoK">PoK</keyword>) or <keyword id="6367693" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Arunachal">Arunachal</keyword> Pradesh as disputed lands or not as parts of India. Such maps, on any online platform or physical documents, would invite a stiff jail term of seven years along with a heavy fine of up to Rs One Crore. 
 
To add to this, the Geospatial Information Regulation Bill would soon be brought to tables, and any person or institution acquiring and disseminating any geospatial imagery or data of any part of India through space or aerial platforms will be required to first seek permission and license from a government authority. 
 
For online platforms like Google, this could mean an extra effort of applying for a license so that they could run Google Maps or Google Earth in India. These imageries would be screened for "sensitivity checks" so that India's security and sovereignty can be protected. 
 
However, the act will not be applicable on Indian government bodies.

<ul><li>A team of three mapmakers, led by J Richard Gott from <keyword id="154037" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Princeton-University">Princeton University</keyword>, have come up with a new kind of map that claims to be the most accurate, yet flat, depiction of the world yet.</li><li>It’s round and two-sided, much like a vinyl record.</li><li>It has smaller distance errors than any single-sided map — setting a new record.</li></ul>Ever since we were little kids, we’ve been conditioned to see the world in a certain way. Mapmakers have obsessed over how to show the world as accurately as possible on the flat pages of an atlas and in geography textbooks. But, no map is perfect because the world isn’t actually flat. Now, there’s a <keyword id="1029589" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="New-map">new map</keyword> that claims to be the most accurate one yet. It’s round. It’s two-sided. And, it looks a lot like an old-school phonograph record or vinyl LP. <div type="image" title="equidistant_azimuthal_projection" msid="81033321" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Gott, Goldberg and Vanderbei’s double-sided disk map minimizes all six types of map distortions. Antarctica and Australia are more accurately represented than in most other maps, and distances across oceans or across poles are both accurate and easy to measure, unlike one-sided flat maps. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> This new map has been developed by a team of map experts led by J Richard Gott, a professor of astrophysics at Princeton. Being two-sided, the map is able to show both sides of the globe without the conventional limitations of being 2D. “If you’re an ant, you can crawl from one side of this ‘phonograph record’ to the other,” said <a href="https://www.princeton.edu/news/2021/02/15/princeton-astrophysicists-re-imagine-world-map-designing-less-distorted-radically">Gott in a statement.</a> A new map, a new record The accuracy of a map can be measured by what cartographers call the Goldberg-Gott score. It quantifies six types of distortions — local shapes, areas, distance, bending, skewness or lopsidedness and boundary cuts. The lower score, the better a map is. The globe, for instance, would have a score of 0. “Our map is actually more like the globe than other flat maps. To see all of the globe, you have to rotate it. To see all of our new map, you simply have to flip it over,” said Gott. Until now, there are two map projections that are commonly found in textbooks and atlases. The Winkel Tripel flat map projection, which has a score of 4.563, and the Mercator projection, which has a score of 8.296. <div type="image" title="Winkel_triple_projection_SW" msid="81033405" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The Winkel Tripel projection, chosen by the National Geographic for its world maps, represents the poles more accurately than the Mercator, but it still distorts Antarctica badly and creates the illusion that Japan is hugely to the east of California, instead of its nearest neighbor to the west. &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> This new flat map developed by Gott, Robert Vanderbei and David Goldberg managed to hit a score of 0.881. It has smaller distance errors than any single-sided map — setting a new record. The previous record was set in 2007 by Gott himself along with Charles Mugnolo — also a Princeton alumnus. The problem with the Mercator and Winkel Tripel projections is that distance errors become an issue the closer one gets to the poles. “We have continuity over the equator. All we would have to do is cut it out in order to use it. The team, ideally, wants to print their maps on cardboard or plastic so that they can be stacked like records and stored together in a box or slipped inside the covers of textbooks. So, one could collect an entire set — a physical copy, a political map, one for population density and perhaps another climate. Or, the same concept could also be applied to other planets and you could collect the entire solar system. That the rise of smartphones has been the reason for the desuetude of myriad technology products is a fact unarguably accepted today. The exponential rate of innovation in making smartphones an inseparable companion for humans has incapacitated many other products once in demand. Products that could still manage to survive this tsunami have been pushed to a state of partial disability because of declining sales over the past decade. There was no hesitance from customers end to jettison all other products for smartphones. A smartphone is a classic example of what Professor Clayton Christensen described in his book, Innovator’s Dilemma, as disruptive products, the products which are not necessarily better than the existing ones but, have certain unique advantages which places them in a better position in tradeoff with the incumbents. For example, the early digital cameras were way inferior in picture quality compared to film cameras, however, their compatibility with computers made them a sought after product. In a similar fashion, the first iPhone launched in 2007 was able to allure customers by highlighting the revolutionary combination or bundling of three different functionality in one product and diverting the attention of customers from judging the quality of each functionality separately. In 2020, Joel M. Podolny and Morten T. Hansen elaborated in their article published in Harvard Business review, that how <keyword id="6354427" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="apple">Apple</keyword> as an organization is structured around innovation. Unlike the conventional approach of adopting a divisional structure when an organization grows in size and complexity, Apple chooses to remain functionally organized, which helped it in cross deployment and optimization of resources and talent. That is probably why Steve Jobs once told that Apple is the largest start-up in the world. Like all other related industries, smartphones have undoubtedly cannibalized sales of Personal Computers, which is evident from the progressively declining sales of PC for nearly a decade. Laptops, however, could survive because of their suitability for jobs that cannot be performed on a small screen with a virtual keyboard. So, the consumption behaviour of customers towards laptops remained largely non-compensatory against mobility benefits provided by smartphones and tablets. The COVID 19 pandemic has been a blessing in disguise so far for the PC makers. With new features in personal computers incorporated by most of the brands to make them relevant for today’s work compounded with the compulsion to work from home, PCs are coming back to life again. The PC makers are able to fathom what would it take to make them central to human lives for this time. They do not intend to elude but, confront and address the deficiencies that lead to the estrangement of PCs from their patrons. Quite expectedly, Apple is playing a lead role again in this transformative journey of personal computers. With longer battery life, fractional power consumption and connectivity to a cellular network, it is rewriting the playbook again. A relentless pursuant of innovation and boldness to experiment with things has been profoundly rewarding for the company. Strategic vertical integration has been the DNA of Apple, which is palpable from the mastery it has attained in in-house chip design and development. The performance of Apple’s chip is something competitors are wary of. The burgeoning need for better communication devices for virtual team meetings, hybrid offices and remote workstations are pretty adventitious to Apple’s core competency, as it has been the pioneer in camera technology as well. The magnitude of innovativeness, agility and planned opportunism is certainly central to Apple’s success. Though the connectivity of LTE and 5G to PCs is still a matter to be sorted out from the service providers end and not technically, even then, experts predict that the current upward movement of graph with respect to <keyword id="388530" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="PC-sales">PC sales</keyword> will continue in the time to come, as there is still a colossal unfulfilled demand in industries like education compounded with a growing need for personal devices than shared and shrinking life cycle of digital devices including PCs. OPINION: Apple is spearheading the revival in personal computers

<ul><li>Sony launched the new series of Bravia XR X90K TVs in India, targeted at premium LED buyers.</li><li>The TVs come in two sizes for now—55-inch and 65-inch; I reviewed the latter.</li><li>It is the successor to the X90J, one of Sony's most loved series.</li></ul>In June 2022, Sony launched a new upper mid0range 4K LED smart TV - Bravia XR X90K - in India as a successor to the Sony X90J. The 55-inch variant of the TV costs ₹1,29,990, whereas the 65-inch that I reviewed is available at ₹1,79,990. There's also a 75-inch variant that will make its way to the Indian market later. The TV uses Sony's Cognitive Processor XR processor and runs on Google's Android TV platform with a wide range of smart features and a host of apps. It also brings modern features like full-array local dimming, HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, and variable refresh rate support to eliminate screen tearing. I have been using Sony Bravia XR X90K for over 20 days, which was a great time to review this TV as I watched some visual-heavy shows released recently. I watched the new season of Stranger Things on Netflix, The Boys on Amazon Prime, Ms. Marvel on Disney, and also the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, among many others, all on this huge TV. After watching all that, it was hard to complain about the experience and even harder to let it go back, but does that mean it's perfect? The build quality is good, a consistent trait on most Sony products for years. It has a well-bound body with bezels attached firmly and uniformly, but the back panel does flex in a specific area near the ports - which isn't an issue. <div type="image" title="2" msid="92961160" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;There is no cable management solution on the back - a let down.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The TV has flat metal feet that sit flush on the table. I really liked the stand assembly, as you need to put it in the bracket, and it snaps. The TV can be ready to put on stands in less than thirty seconds and what's even better is that it's very stable, and I did not see any wobbling. You can put it in two positions - short and raised, which means you can adjust the gap between the platform and the tv in case you want to place a soundbar under it. The height to the bottom of the screen in the short position is 4 cm and 8.5 cm in the raised position. <div type="image" title="3" msid="92961182" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The metal feet on the Bravia XR X90K are easy to attach and adjust.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The back panel is black and has textured plastic with aluminum in the center. The only design flaw Sony X90K has is the lack of a cable management solution, and the ports are hard to reach when it's wall-mounted. However, it sticks pretty well to the wall and has a minimal gap, which looks neat. <div type="image" title="4" msid="92961220" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;There is a tweeter on each side of the TV.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> There's a button placed right underneath the center of the TV to turn it On/Off, change channels, adjust the volume, or switch inputs. There's also a switch to turn off the mic on the TV when not using it, just an added privacy feature. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Features" comment="subhead" text="Features">Features</cmsannotation> The first thing to note here is that this TV is said to have tons of tech packed inside. Some key ones include the Cognitive Processor XR, Sony's flagship chip used in the premium Bravia XR series, and HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision support. In addition, it has a 10-bit VA panel with local dimming. Sony markets many other features, so many that I'll leave a list below and move on to see how it fares in real-life performance. <ul><li>It has dual database processing, XR 4K upscaling, and XR super-resolution for clarity enhancement.</li><li>There is Live Color Technology, XR smoothening, and XR Triluminos Pro for color enhancement.</li><li>For contrast, it has a dynamic contrast enhancer, XR contrast booster 10, and XR HDR remaster.</li><li>There is XR motion clarity for smoother motion in fast-paced scenes.</li><li>For gaming, there is auto HDR tone mapping and auto genre picture switch. Auto switch mode, as the name suggests, changes the picture profile based on the content on the screen - be it playing games, watching movies, or sports.</li></ul><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Picture performance" comment="subhead" text="Picture performance">Picture performance</cmsannotation> These features make it look like a TV from the future, but how does it translate into real-life performance? Not as much as it seems, but enough. Let's get into the details. I am thoroughly impressed with the performance, which keeps the marketing jargon valid in most cases. Starting with local dimming, it comes with 59 dimming zones, this time over last year's 24 on the X90J. For a user, it makes the screen picture look better with a higher contrast ratio and has incredible detail clarity in HDR videos. The panel is a bit reflective, which means you can't keep it opposite or an angle with a bright light source. <div type="image" title="5" msid="92961250" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The TV&amp;#39;s panel is reflective.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>It is very bright in normal, SDR, and HDR picture modes ranging between 600-1000 nits. Despite that, it has deep black comparable to OLEDs, but the loss in detail in extremely dark scenes makes it different from them. But if you face this issue, there is an option to tune the blacks, using which you can reduce the black that might help fix the detail loss. Note that if you are using the TV with peak brightness, you might observe occasional blooming in dark scenes, especially around lights and bright objects. However, it's not as prominent to be a deal breaker, and only the pixel peepers will come across it. Sony shines in when it comes to color reproduction. It's a common trait seen on most of its high-end TVs, and this one is no different. This is where you can see those long list of XR features come into play. It renders stunning colors with its wide color gamut coming into play, and it came out full blooming while watching Ms. Marvel. This TV made watching that Marvel series a wholesome experience, and I did not want to go back to watching the rest of the episodes on a different screen. The vibrancy on this can match the best QLEDs out there, making the overall picture quality flawless and still keeping it natural. <div type="image" title="6" msid="92961291" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Sony Bravia XR X90K display has thin bezels.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div>What makes it even better is the option that Sony gives comprehensive control to fine-tune the picture settings as per your liking. I did not change much on it, as the out-of-the-box picture quality was sharp, clear, and bright. It's an excellent TV for a cinematic experience, and Dolby Vision enhances it further. In HDR Mode, the pictures also show natural 3D depth, and high brightness helps it to play dark scenes with crisp details as the backlight dims when HDR kicks in. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Picture Upscaling" comment="subhead" text="Picture Upscaling">Picture Upscaling</cmsannotation> The upscaling tech of Sony is great in general, and so is on this TV. I watched old movies like The Mummy and Jurrasic Park to test the performance, and I could clearly see the upscaling magic. The upscaling works with the OTT apps if you attach a pen drive or a hard disk and any 24p content being played through any external device, such as a set-top box, DVD player and Android TV box. In short, it smoothens the frames, removes digital noise to enhance details, reduces judder, and you can see it happening in real-time. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Gaming Performance" comment="subhead" text="Gaming Performance">Gaming Performance</cmsannotation> The gaming performance on this 65-inch screen is gamers rejoice. I was waiting for a Sony TV with PS5 support to come in so that I could play some titles in their full glory. It did deliver on that promise too. It supports Auto Low Latency (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to power gaming. In my case, it automatically turns on the TV and switches to the game mode when you connect a PlayStation device. Game Mode disables many image-enhancing features in exchange for low output latency. Note that the technology is limited to Sony devices, so it won’t work with Xbox, and you’ll have to manually switch from the remote and lock your settings by yourself. The visuals of games like Ghosts of Tsushima and Spider-Man: Miles Morales look breathtaking. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Audio: is the built-in speaker enough?" comment="subhead" text="Audio: is the built-in speaker enough?">Audio: is the built-in speaker enough?</cmsannotation> The audio is powered by a 10+10 Watts full range speaker with two 5+5 Watts sound positioning tweeters. It supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio, along with DTS. In addition, there's a feature that calibrates sound according to the room size and the viewer's positioning in the room. The company claims that the audio setup is designed so that the sound feels like it's coming directly from the direction of the source on the screen. It is also said to be capable of producing 5.1.2 channel audio where the TV acts as a central speaker. Sony's TVs are relatively more expensive than their counterparts, and the price difference is seen in some departments - audio is one of them. However, no additional unit protrudes out of the body, and the given system is still impressive. It has a decent frequency response and a very balanced sound profile and is especially great for watching shows and movies with particular emphasis on dialogue. Expectedly, it lacks bass, so if you want an entire 5.1-channel surround sound experience, consider investing in a soundbar. I did not pair it with any soundbar or speaker during my use and did not find the need to. It gets loud, and the distortion is so minimal that you'd only notice it at high volume levels. It does fine for casual music listening, gaming, or even movies unless you want a full-fledged theatre experience. <div type="image" title="7" msid="92961310" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The interface on the TV is intuitive and very responsive.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="User Interface: How is the software experience?" comment="subhead" text="User Interface: How is the software experience?">User Interface: How is the software experience?</cmsannotation> The TV runs the upgraded version of the Android TV, called Google TV. It gets almost every feature from its predecessor, but that's not all. It's more than just a name change. Using Android TV UI on the side made this one feel slicker, smoother, and more intuitive. It has Chromecast and Google Assistant, and you get an Apple Home kit and Apple Airplay on this TV. You can do easy casting from other Android devices and operate it using just voice. You can download the Google Android application on your phone and operate the TV through it. <div type="image" title="8" msid="92961324" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The remote offered with the TV.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Remote" comment="subhead" text="Remote">Remote</cmsannotation> The Sony X90K comes with the newly-designed Sony remote for 2022. It skips the numpad, making it much sleeker and lighter. Look-wise it does not look as premium as the TV, but its sleek form factor makes it handy. It also gets shortcut buttons to popular apps like YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube Music. Additionally, it has a built-in mic which comes in action for voice commands using Google Assistant. <div type="image" title="9" msid="92961332" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Connectivity ports on the TV.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Connectivity" comment="subhead" text="Connectivity">Connectivity</cmsannotation> The Sony Sony X90K connectivity options include 4 HDMI ports whose HDCP version is 2.3. The HDMI 3 and 4 have version 2.1, are eARC specific, and come with variable refresh rates with support for Auto Low Latency and 4K gaming at 120Hz. You also get HDMI CEC on this TV, which allows you to control multiple compatible devices using one remote simultaneously. Further, it has two USB ports, an Ethernet port, a digital audio port, an RF input port, and a headphone jack. For wireless, it has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.2. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> With even phone makers getting into the market, there are many TV brands to choose from. Many of these are budget offerings, and TVs from legacy brands like Sony, Samsung, and LG seem to look overpriced for what they offer on paper. New Delhi, Feb 1 () The government on Saturday proposed 11 per cent increase in the farm credit target to 15 lakh crore for 2020-21 and announced special rail and flight services for the transportation of farm produce as its seeks to double farmers' income by 2022.
 The government also proposed promoting 'one product one district' for better marketing and export of horticulture crops. It also called on states for early implementation of three key central model laws on land leasing, agriculture produce and livestock marketing and contract farming.
 Presenting the Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Our government is committed to the goal of doubling farmers' incomes by 2022."
 She further said that prosperity of farmers can be ensured by making farming competitive. "For this, farm markets need to be liberalised. Distortions in farm and livestock markets need to be removed."
 Purchase of farm produce, logistics and agri-services need copious investments. Substantial support and hand-holding of farm-based activities such as livestock, apiary, and fisheries need to be provided for, she said.
 Barely two years left for achieving the target of doubling farmers income, the Finance Minister said farmers desire integrated solutions covering storage, financing, processing and marketing.
 To improve marketing, Sitharaman said the Indian Railways will set up a "Kisan Rail" - through public private partership (PPP) arrangements -- to build a seamless national cold supply chain for perishables, inclusive of milk, meat and fish.
 There would be refrigerated coaches in Express and Freight trains as well.
 'Krishi Udaan' will be launched by the Civil Aviation Ministry on international and national routes. This will immensely help improve value realisation especially in North-East and tribal districts, she added.
 To provide better access to bank credit, the government proposes raising the target for disbursing agriculture credit to Rs 15 lakh crore for the 2020-21 fiscal from the current target of Rs 13.5 lakh crore.
 Normally, farm loans attract an interest rate of 9 per cent. But the government is providing 2 per cent interest subsidy to ensure farmers get short-term farm loan of up to Rs 3 lakh at an effective rate of 7 per cent per annum.
 Since Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs)and cooperatives are active in the agriculture credit space, Sitharaman said the NABARD re-finance scheme will be further expanded.
 The financing on Negotiable Warehousing Receipts (e-NWR) has crossed more than Rs 6,000 crore. This will be integrated with electronic National Agriculture Market (eNAM), she added.
 To further expand storage and warehousing facilities, the Finance Minister proposed creating warehousing, in line with Warehouse Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) norms.
 "Our government will provide viability gap funding for setting up such efficient warehouses at the block/taluk level. This can be achieved, where states can facilitate with land and are on a PPP mode," she said.
 State-run Food Corporation of India (FCI) and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) will undertake such warehouse building on their land too, she added.
 India has an estimated capacity of 162 million MT of agri-warehousing, cold storage, reefer van facilities etc. NABARD will undertake an exercise to map and geo-tag them.
 As a backward linkage, the finance minister proposed a 'Village Storage scheme' to be run by the Self Help Groups (SHGs). This will provide farmers a good holding capacity and reduce their logistics cost. Women, SHGs will regain their position as "Dhaanya Lakshmi".
 To libersalise agri-market, she urged the state governments to undertake implementation of three central model laws -- Model Agricultural Land Leasing Act, 2016, Model Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2017; and Model Agricultural Produce and Livestock Contract Farming and Services (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2018.
 To harness potential in fishery sector, the government said it will involve youth in fishery extension through 3,477 'Sagar Mitras' and 500 Fish Farmer Producer Organisations.
 Growing of algae, sea-weed and cage culture will also be promoted as the government aims to raise fish production to 200 lakh tonne by 2022-23 and achieve fishery export of Rs 1 lakh crore by 2024-25.
 The government also proposed to put in place a framework for development, management and conservation of marine fishery resources.
 As water stress related issues are now a serious concern across the country, Sitharaman said, "Our government is proposing comprehensive measures for one hundred water stressed districts."
 To promote solar energy, the government proposed a scheme to enable farmers to set up solar power generation capacity on their fallow/barren lands and to sell it to the grid would be operationalized.
 It also said it would expand the PM-KUSUM scheme to provide 20 lakh farmers for setting up stand-alone solar pumps and also help another 15 lakh farmers solarise their grid-connected pump sets.
 In order to change the prevailing incentive regime which encourages excessive use of chemical fertilisers, the government said it would encourage balanced use of all kinds of fertilizers including the traditional organic and other innovative fertilizers. LUX LUX MR
