The data center has been set up with an investment of around ₹1,500 crore. Once fully functional, Yotta D1 building will see an additional investment of ₹5,000 crore in IT equipment, the company said in a press release. "When the data revolution began in India, Mumbai and Chennai were prime data storage centers. This is about to change with data centers now coming up in the Delhi NCR region as well. When you have a data center next to you, a lot of companies will be able to give lightning fast processing for data to local people, in turn boosting productivity," said Darshan Hiranandani, co-founder and chairman of Yotta Infrastructure. Yotta D1 is strategically located near the key business hubs of NCR, the company said. The company also entered into an MoU with the UP government to invest ₹39,000 crore in a phased manner over 5-7 years. The investment will go towards constructing the data center campus and procuring IT equipment and other hardware for Yotta customers. Customers from edtech, healthtech companies, SMEs, public sector units, state government initiatives like AYUSH, Aadhar, storage of passport data can tap into this resource," added Gupta. Launched three years ago, Yotta Infrastructure has built data centers in Powai and will be tapping into Thane and Panvel in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Gujarat and West Bengal in the coming years. The advent of 5G is sure to transform communications – for our industry it will help creation of better AV, voice and AR/VR experiences. It will also fuel digital payments, streaming entertainment, gaming, e-commerce, tele-medicine etc which in turn will aid more Unicorns! It is also heartening to note that a special Task Force is being set up for AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comic) as this will help us build the much needed capacity both for domestic as well as global markets. Narayan Devanathan, Chief Client Officer, dentsu India: Having gone through the 38-page document of the Finance Minister’s budget speech, I decided to do a search for a couple of words that I thought kept repeating throughout her speech. The words “will be” occurred 110 times in the entire speech. When I narrowed my search to the single word “will,” the number rose to 362. To me, those two words sum up the essence of what this year’s budget is and is not. What it is, is a future-focused budget, aiming at the distant vision of India@100, with a 25-year Amrit Kaal lead-up. What it is not, and what I felt was sorely needed this year of all years, is a present-focused budget. A punishing 2021 for the aam aadmi with more-than-usual expenditure on health and sustenance meant the general populace was looking for immediate relief that would place more cash in their household budgets. That did not happen. Nor was there any extraordinary investment in relieving the healthcare expenditure burden. For all the importance of farmers in upcoming poll-bound states, there was neither major sop nor stimulus given to back the importance of agriculture as a spine if not engine of the economy. Even the MSME sectors were only handed a slightly longer lease of life with the extension of the ECLGS, but there was no real move to stimulate consumption by placing more cash at consumers’ disposal, for example, extending LTA claims to restaurants (and not just accommodation). There is perhaps plenty for the industry to cheer about since it can afford to think about the future and a slightly longer term than just the here and now of survival. The stock market did cheer up even before the FM’s speech, but that only served to underscore the dichotomy between the real health of the population and the Minority of Haves. When the general population probably can’t afford to wait for the benefits of trickle-down economics to reach them in yet another trying year, the dreams and wheels of a consumer-driven economy might move slower than the industry might like, despite the many future-facing and progressive policies announced. The government has extended the startup tax holiday and concessional tax for manufacturing startups by a year. While that was on the cards, it doesn’t address the core need of startups to be given a longer tax holiday of 5 years as required. One of the most encouraging aspects of the budget has been the announcement to set up an AVGC (animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics) promotion task force to plan and build domestic capacity for serving domestic as well as global markets. Loss from the transfer of virtual digital assets cannot be set off against any other income. The creation of a unified logistics platform and the developments of 100 new cargo terminals in the next three years are significant steps in improving the supply chain ecosystem in the country. Infrastructure status given to Data Centers will provide a huge boost to the fast-evolving digital environment of the country. The fiscal outcome is broadly in line with our expectations with the government having continued its focus on infrastructure and rural demand. If you use your <keyword id="6356006" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Aadhaar-card">Aadhaar card</keyword> for verification, the process is a lot quicker than if you other methods of verification — passport, drivers license, voter ID, or bank statements. It’s not really Amazon’s fault because the biometric verification through Aadhar is simple matter of verifying your fingerprint through a fingerprint reader. But, with other physical documents, the company needs people on the ground to verify the authenticity of the documents. Simply put, the verification through Aadhaar is a lot cheaper for Amazon as compared to using other documents for physical verification. Amazon Pay and other digital wallets have to enforce user verification in line with the Reserve Bank of India’s new policy on data localisation. Not an Amazon-specific problem India’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of India, rolled out its data localisation policy rendering 95% of mobile wallets in the country vulnerable to being shut down. The directive of the policy makes it mandatory for all digital wallets to have biometrics or physical customer verification in place. Even PayTM nudged its users into adopting KYC in order to continue using their wallets. If your PayTM account isn’t verified, you can still receive payments from other users and make payments at retail outlets using the QR-code but you can’t send out money to other users directly. Other digital wallets like MobiKwik have shifted to diversifying themselves because they haven’t been able to push their customers towards KYC norms with RBI’s February deadline coming up. The case with Aadhaar India’s top court has already ruled that private companies can’t make it ‘mandatory’ for Aadhaar to be the only method of user verification. But that doesn’t negate it as an option. The issue that people are facing with Aadhaar isn’t whether or not it’s convenient, but whether or not it’s safe. Currently she has a tourist visa so has to move again in three months' time."I know the struggles," she said. "When you live in another culture that you don't understand, you focus a lot on your career you can feel socially isolated. It's much harder for <keyword id="2749232" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="digital-nomads">digital nomads</keyword> to stay mentally healthy."Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, you might be feeling like a digital nomad right now even if you're in the same country and city as you always are.<h2>You never feel settled</h2>Digital nomadism different from the life of an expat, Müller said, because you can never feel settled having no fixed address. Expats at least know they're going to be in one place for the forseeable future."This is the ideal, exploring the world and working at the same time," Müller said. "But you're never in a stable culture. You're always changing from one culture to another, you're coming and going, and sometimes you have a culture shock."For instance, in Vietnam , the chairs are just 30cm high, even in luxury restaurants. In India, people tend to sit on the floor to eat. Even coffee varies depending on where you are — the Vietnamese drink it with ice, while in Malaysia they fry the coffee beans, which makes it really oily."Everything is so cultural and you always have to adapt to that," said Müller. "And I think there's this big feeling you don't understand and don't feel understood at the same time. And this is really exhausting."In our daily lives, it's easy to underestimate how much we depend on an easy daily routine, like where to get your favourite coffee in the morning, how much a kilogram of tomatoes costs, and where to get on the subway. The cost of living can also halve or double depending on which country you go to."When I go to a place, you have to figure out what is the real price of a mango, am I getting the tourist price or is it the real price?" said Müller. "It's a bit more of a fight, let's say."<h2>There's pressure to succeed from back home</h2>There are also pressures from the people you leave behind, who expect a lot from those who move country to work, she said, especially if you move from a poorer country. One friend of Müller's moved from Tunisia to Canada, and his family and friends always ask him about his house, what car he has, and how successful he is."Depression and anxiety don't need a visa, they can <keyword id="6354692" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Travel">travel</keyword> everywhere," Müller said. "It's harder to share with the people back home if you are struggling, that you are in a crisis, because they say 'How come? You live in Singapore, you have a house, you have a driver, you have a housekeeper, you have a nice job, you make money, what's the problem?'"It's the same for digital nomads — people think working remotely around the world is living the dream. But Müller said everything comes with a catch, and it's not all beaches and being happy and carefree."Even this can be hard," she said. "Keep the balance between travelling and taking care of yourself. Because it's always important to sleep well, to eat well, to exercise, to keep a certain routine."<h2>Burning out in paradise</h2>Otherwise, you may find you get whipped up into the intense cycle of partying all night, waking up late, and never really sticking to a solid working schedule. Your environment can mean this takes double the effort, and takes real motivation and self-control. One way to help is to seek out real friendships, Müller said."Everybody is moving and not always in the same directions, so it's hard to keep friendships, or to stay in contact because you are always finding new friends," she said. "You have to try to focus on a few people, or make an effort to see the people back home ... Because at the end we are social beings, and this is very important for our <keyword id="6354774" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Mental-health">mental health</keyword>."Digital nomads may find their life takes a really different route to the people they know back home who start buying houses and having children. New Delhi, Mar 4 () About 50 per cent respondents in a study by storage solutions firm Western Digital said they do not take complete back up of their content for reasons like paucity of time and tediousness of data backup process.This is inspite of over 25 per cent respondents (PC users) saying they had lost data to system crashes and virus attacks."Although more than one in every four PC users in India has lost their content or data in the past, we found one in every two respondents saying they do not take complete back up of their content," Western Digital India Direct Channel Sales Khalid Wani said.Around 42 per cent of the respondents cited paucity of time and the tediousness of the data backup process as the key deterrents for backing up their content, he added.Also, 84 per cent of the audience blamed a virus attack, system crash, or forgotten password as the main reasons for losing their data.The study included over 1800 respondents covering 17 cities in India.Wani said data consumption and creation has been on the rise and the company has an expansive portfolio to cater to these demands.Western Digital on Wednesday has introduced its new My Passport storage solution. Although some phone manufacturing companies are already giving Indians an option of local languages in their devices, very soon it would be mandatory for all feature phones sold in India to be compatible with a local language. 
 
Bureau of India Standards (BIS) recently received a draft amendment from the Department of Electronics &amp; Information Technology about the same. 
 "It is critical to have digital content in Indian languages and for devices to be compatible with at least one Indian local language for <keyword id="1929810" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Digital-India">Digital India</keyword> to succeed," a senior government official told ET. Digital India is a programme started by the central government that aims at digitally empowering the country. 
 
BIS would be notifying the order requiring the compatibility by March. Regarding the same service being available in smartphones, the department is yet to decide a date for that. 
 
The sales of feature phones, which make up over 60% of the handset market in India, are slowly being beaten by affordable smartphones. 
As a part of the Digital India initiative, an integrated mobile platform for e-government services would be ready in the coming months. This will facilitate functioning via dedicated apps for 25 key services, which would include passport, visas and the issue of caste certificates, so that Indian citizens can make use of these services from the comforts of their handsets.
