The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class X results on Monday. The overall <keyword id="20123359" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="pass-percentage" source="keywords">pass percentage</keyword> of 93.60 per cent was recorded. Passing percentage has increased by 0.48 per cent since last year. 25724 schools gave the CBSE class X examinations at 7603 centres. The Trivandrum region registered the highest pass percentage at 99.75 per cent whereas the lowest has been recorded at Guwahati which stood at 77.94 per cent. In the overall Delhi region, a 98.61 per cent pass percentage was recorded. 94.75 per cent of Girls passed the exam whereas 92.71 per cent of boys passed the exam with the Girls outshining boys by 2.04 per cent. Students who sat for the CBSE Class 10 board exams nationwide can view their mark sheets on the <keyword id="21637011" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CBSE-official-website" source="keywords">CBSE official website</keyword>, cbse.gov.in. The other official websites where CBSE 10th results can be checked are - cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, digilocker.gov.in, results.gov.in. The results can also be checked on mobile apps- Digilocker and UMANG. In regards to the Class 10 exams, CBSE stated that Science, Mathematics, and Social Science were chosen by 22,62,692 students each. These exams took place over three days at 7612 examination centres, utilising 94,279 rooms, with the assistance of 1,88,558 Assistant Superintendents. CBSE class X examinations were held from February 15 to March 13, 2024. Approximately 39 lakh students appeared for Class 10 and 12 examinations. Students must score a minimum of 33 per cent marks to pass the CBSE class 10 and 12 exams. Looking at the past year's trends, in 2023, the CBSE results were announced on May 12. While in the year 2022, it was declared on July 22. Earlier, CBSE declared Class XII. 87.98 per cent of students passed the board exams. Passing percentage increased by 0.65 per cent since last year. 18417 schools gave the CBSE class XII examinations at 7126 centres. This year the overall pass percentage is 87.98 a 0.65 percent increase since 2023. The Trivandrum region registered the highest pass percentage at 99.91 per cent. CBSE Class 10 board exam results declared

The board exams were held between February 22 and March 9 at 8,265 centres. The answer papers were checked between March 16 and 30, board officials said. "Prachi Nigam of Sitapur district was the <keyword id="19951608" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Class-10" source="keywords">Class 10</keyword> topper with 98.50 per cent marks. Shubham Verma, also from Sitapur, stood first in the <keyword id="19981413" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Class-12" source="keywords">Class 12</keyword> exam with 97.80 per cent," Education (Secondary) Director Mahendra Dev told PTI. The board conducted the examination in a "record-breaking" number of days, Dev said. "For the first time, the exam was conducted in a record 12 working days. The evaluation of answer sheets was completed in the same number of working days," he added. The officer said 27,49,364 (27.49 lakh) candidates -- 14,39,243 (14.39 lakh) boys and 13,10,121 (13.10 lakh) girls -- appeared for the Class 10 exam. Of the total, 86.05 per cent boys and 93.40 per cent girls cleared the exam. For Class 12, the number of candidates was 24,52,830 (24.52 lakh) -- 13,41,356 (13.41 lakh) boys and 11,11,474 (11.11 lakh) girls, Dev said. The pass percentage was 77.78 for boys and 88.42 for girls.

UP board exam results announced, CM Adityanath congratulates successful candidates

Over 65 lakh students did not pass <keyword id="19951608" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="class-10" source="keywords">class 10</keyword> and 12 <keyword id="19954615" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="board-exams" source="keywords">board exams</keyword> across the country last year with the failure rate being higher in <keyword id="22866974" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="state-boards" source="keywords">state boards</keyword> than the central board, according to Ministry of Education (<keyword id="20349630" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="MoE" source="keywords">MoE</keyword>) officials. An analysis of class 10 and 12 results of 59 school boards, including 56 state boards and three national boards, revealed that more girls appeared in class 12 exam from government-managed schools but it is opposite in private schools and government-aided schools. "Around 33.5 lakh students of class 10 are not reaching next grade. While 5.5 lakh candidates did not appear, 28 lakh failed. This is one of the cause for low retention rate and Gross Enrolment Ration (GER) at higher secondary level," a senior MoE official said. Similarly, around 32.4 lakh class 12 students did not complete the grade. While 5.2 lakh did not appear, 27.2 lakh failed. In class 10, the student failure rate in central board stood at 6 per cent while that of state boards was much higher at 16 per cent. In class 12, the failure rate at central board is 12 per cent while that of state boards is 18 per cent. The ministry officials noted that the open school performance was poor in both the classes. The highest number of student failure in class 10 was in Madhya Pradesh board followed by Bihar and UP. While in class 12, the highest student failure was reported from Uttar Pradesh followed by Madhya Pradesh. "Overall performance of students in 2023 declined in comparison with previous year. This could be due to larger syllabus for examination," the official said. More girls appeared for class 10 and 12 board exams from government schools than boys. "This may reflect gender bias while spending on education by parents. However, girls dominates in pass performance across government, aided and private schools," the official said. <ul class="summary-list"><li>Real estate experts told BI that the office sector will experience a wave of distress in coming years.</li><li>Run-down, vacant offices could be sold in fire sales as owners cut their losses.</li></ul>A <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/commercial-real-estate-big-trouble-crash-bank-crisis-2024-2">seismic event is brewing in a corner of the commercial real estate market</a>, with many office buildings facing distress as they approach a wall of maturing debt and struggle against enduring work-from-home trends.Those factors — which have left some of the worst office buildings nearly deserted — are about to spark a handful of fire sales, potentially kicking off a wave of office-to-apartment conversions that will add more housing supply to the pipeline, real estate pros said.Richard Barkham, the chief global economist of commercial real estate investment firm CBRE, says he sees an upheaval of Class B office buildings — a segment of office properties that struggle to attract tenants, mainly due to being older and in need of renovation.These second-tier properties have vacancy rates as high as 80%, he said, predicting that many could be ripped down or transformed over the next decade."The banks are going to have to dispose of that real estate," Barkham told Business Insider in an interview. "So we will see. Still, for landlords facing a glut of unwanted space, it could be worth it to try to covert it. "There's a solid base of really badly performing offices that's going to go bust over the course of 2025," Barkham added. "It's quite clear that we don't need as much office space in the United States as we did."<h2 id="5bc9d833-39a3-40c9-a071-6c0d943a3acd">The office market's new era</h2>While most high-quality buildings are being filled, demand for offices has generally sagged since the pandemic, when remote work became much more widespread. The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.commercialedge.com/blog/national-office-report/#:~:text=The%20national%20average%20full%2Dservice,Diego's%20by%20310%20basis%20points.">US office vacancy rate was 19.4%</a> in August, according to the data provider CommercialEdge, up 200 basis points from the prior year.<a target="_blank" href="https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/DRCRELEXFACBS">Late payments on commercial real estate loans</a> have climbed to 1.42% in the second quarter, the highest rate in nearly 10 years. <a target="_blank" href="https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/COMREPUSQ159N#0">Commercial real estate prices</a>, meanwhile, dropped another 9% year-over-year in the first quarter, Fed data shows.But real estate investors have warmed up to the sector over the past six months, Vavas says, thanks partly to buildings being sold at steep discounts and banks attempting to dump loans from their balance sheets. He recalls a deal he worked on recently, where the property owner priced the building at a 20%-30% discount."The people who owned it, the building was heavily vacant and they just wanted to, I think, cut their losses," he said.Many defunct offices are expected to be converted into residential properties given the shortage of housing in the US, Vavas says. The office-to-residential conversion is the most common type of conversion project, according to Yardi data, accounting for 38% of all conversions in the works."The idea of people being in the office three days a week versus five days a week was the exception, not the standard. And now it's the opposite," Vavas said. "If you do that across a company, by definition, your demand is going to drop. And when it drops as a result of this post-pandemic thought of being back in the office, then I think you have to start to look at, well, I have this space. What are the needs for the community, for the location? And in New York, it just happens to be residential."Washington DC, New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles have recorded the most office-to-apartment conversion starts this year, with a combined 19,462 conversions in the pipeline, Yardi data shows.Commutes will likely be shorter on average, and cities with many vacant offices could see more stores, restaurants, and theaters creep into the mix, Barkham says. He notes, though, that changes won't happen overnight."You will see vacant buildings, and you will see see-through offices for some considerable time," Barkham said.

There will be no merit list to "avoid unhealthy competition", the board announced. The board has also decided to scrap awarding first, second and third divisions based on students' scores, officials said. "No merit list will be declared by the CBSE to avoid unhealthy competition among students. However, the board will issue merit certificates to 0.1 per cent of students who have scored the highest marks in the various subjects," a senior board official said. The pass percentage is higher than the 83.40 recorded in 2019 in the pre-Covid period, the official added. The pass percentage last year was 92.71. Girls continued to outshine boys, recording a six percentage point higher passing rate. Over 16.60 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination. The Trivandrum region recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.91 while the Prayagraj region reported the lowest at 78.05. Over 1.25 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category. For example, the Reformer carriage must be adjusted to fit their unique body type, height, and overall proportions. This helps prevent unwanted pelvis movement or an arched back.Good form during exercise allows for proper muscle recruitment and helps prevent injuries, which is why I always remind my students to be mindful of their breath.However, it's important to remember that engaging your core and developing breathing techniques takes time. When in doubt, stick to your usual breathing pattern.<h2 id="8abdde3d-fb63-4e88-b98b-099fefae44f3">Not wearing grip socks and proper clothing</h2><div type="image" title="Legs in Pilates springs, wearing black pants and pink socks with grips at the bottom." height="1255" width="1673" msid="112872021" hostid="261" sizebytes="77584"></div>Most studios require clients to wear socks with proper grips on the bottom for safety and hygiene purposes.Your feet may get slippery during movements requiring extra stability, so I recommend wearing them even if the studio doesn't mandate it.It's also important to avoid wearing loose-fitting clothing so the instructor can see your body and help you make the proper adjustments.Additionally, it's best to keep long hair in a bun so it doesn't get caught in the springs or other parts of the equipment.<h2 id="7b4fe171-dcfe-4838-9eae-4e540d2bd581">Not eating before class — or eating too much</h2>Taking a Pilates class on an <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-workout-snacks-before-and-after-exercise-according-to-olympian-2021-8">empty stomach</a> is a big no-no. However, you also don't want to feel too full before class since Pilates is a core-centered workout.I recommend eating something light an hour before class.
