Government’s Common Admission Test to rope in 15 central universities from next year

The University of Delhi also abbreviated as DU is a public central university created in 1922. DU offers a wide range of courses in the under graduation, graduation, doctoral levels besides many diploma courses across a diverse range of fields like humanities, science, commerce, management, law, and engineering. Here we discuss how to get admission to the DU for the various graduate programs. Entry into Delhi University Admissions to DU are based on merit. The candidates seeking admission to the various courses need to clear an entrance examination conducted by NATA. For management courses, the scores of the CAT examination will be considered. For providing admissions to the dental and medical courses, NEET scores will be taken into account. Eligibility criteria for admission While seeking admission to the various courses in DU, students must ascertain if they satisfy the eligibility criteria specified by the university. Students of any age can seek admission to the various courses excepting in courses where the regulatory authorities including MCI, BCI, DCI and AICTE have specified the age limit. For taking admission to the various graduation courses the students must have completed 10+2 education in their school level with the main subjects related to the courses they wish to pursue in the graduation level. In addition, admission criteria to each of the courses specify a minimum percentage of marks for admission for which the details are available in the DU website. Entrance examination pattern The entrance examination pattern of the DU consists of multiple choice questions excepting in case of admission to language courses. The total duration of the entrance examination will be two hours. The students will have to take the entrance tests on computer-based mode. For UG courses, each question carries four marks with one negative mark for a wrong answer. The syllabus for the entrance tests for the UG courses will be based on the topics students studied in their plus 2 levels in their respective streams. The way to score well in the DU entrance exams for graduation courses includes becoming familiar with the exam syllabus, mastering the exam preparation materials available in the market, and practicing the previous year question papers. Admission process after the entrance examinations The results of the various entrance exams will be announced online in the month of July. For each of the categories, a separate merit list will be prepared by the university. The students are required to take a print out of the results for moving ahead with the subsequent admission process. For admission to the various merit-based UG courses, the university will announce the cutoff. The same will be published on the official website of the DU. The cut off will vary year on year depending on the demand of the seats in the given course. Candidates scoring the marks specified in the cut off can apply for admission. Scanned copies of the required documents will have to be uploaded online and once the admission is approved, the candidates will have to pay the admission fee online.

New Delhi, Mar 9 () Indian Council of Agricultural Research on Monday said it has initiated the process for inviting applications for admission to Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programmes in the universities accredited by it.ICAR conducts All India Entrance Examinations (AIEEs) for admission to 15 per cent seats of UG degree programmes and 25 per cent seats each of Master's and Doctoral degree programmes at ICAR accredited agricultural universities (AUs) under the ICAR-AU system, an official statement said.At present, there are 74 agricultural universities in the country. It includes 63 state agricultural universities, three central agricultural universities, four ICAR-Deemed-to-be Universities and four central universities with agriculture faculty.The National Testing Agency (NTA) would conduct the ICAR's AIEEs on June 1, 2020. ICAR starts process to invite application for admission in universities

Around 14,90,000 candidates have registered for CUET-UG, out of which, about 8,10,000 candidates are appearing in the first slot on July 15, while about 6,80,000 candidates will appear in the second slot starting from August 4. The <keyword id="581232" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="national-testing-agency" source="Orion">National Testing Agency</keyword> is conducting this test at various centres in 554 cities across <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword> and 10 cities outside India. <keyword id="44171" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ugc" source="Orion">UGC</keyword> President M Jagadesh Kumar said that 98 per cent candidates have been allotted CUET exam centres in their chosen cities. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), students have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects under the new education policy. Significantly, under the new education policy, students have been given more freedom to choose the subjects of their choice. Due to this, unique combinations of different subjects have been created. The <keyword id="13437603" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="central-university-entrance-test" source="Orion">Central University Entrance Test</keyword> is being conducted for undergraduate courses in colleges on the basis of the class <keyword id="155806" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="xii" source="Orion">XII</keyword> syllabus only. There are no questions in the entrance test from the syllabus of any other class other than XII. The marks obtained in class XII will not be considered for admission in the colleges under CUET. 85 Indian universities will provide admission to students in undergraduate courses through this process. In the first slot, the exam will be held on July 15, 16, 19 and 20 while in the second slot it will be organised on August 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10. Students who clear these exams will be considered eligible for admission in 90 universities. These include 43 central universities. According to the NTA, keeping in mind the large number of subjects, a specific date sheet has been prepared for each candidate. CUET-UG:  Over 8Lakh appearing in the first slot on Friday

In the several education reforms announced by Finance minister <keyword id="42575" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Arun-Jaitley">Arun Jaitley</keyword>, he has proposed to establish a <keyword id="581232" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Testing-Agency">National Testing Agency</keyword> which will conduct all the academic entrance examinations in India. 
 
This will take away the burden from Central Board of Secondary Education and All India Council for Technical Education in terms of the administration work related to examinations.

Apart from school exams at Class 10 and Class 12 level for CBSE affiliated schools, CBSE conducts major higher education related entrances in the absence of any national testing body.

Considered among the high-profile educational institutions in the country, Delhi University has a big charm about it among the learners. Here is a detailed process of admission to DU. Delhi University counseling happens through offline mode. Students can seek admissions in Delhi University for UG, PG and doctoral courses across a range of disciplines. The university organizes entrance examinations to prepare the merit list for the sake of providing admissions to students. Here are the different stages of the admission process. Admission to DU is purely based on merit and the process of admission will take off once the admission list or cut off is released by the university. Students need to choose the course that they wish to pursue and then apply for admission. Students can access the DU Counseling through offline mode. Depending on the seats availability, the counseling is organized in different rounds. The admission process will also consist of GD and PI rounds. DU cut-off is generally released in the 3rd week of June 2019. The university releases independent cut-off lists for science, arts and commerce courses. The cut-off can be defined as the minimum marks that the candidates are expected to score in order to successfully get through the entrance test and qualifying examination. Here is a detailed counseling process for admission to the DU. To understand the admission process, we can divide the courses with DU into two kinds namely merit based courses and entrance test based courses. Detailed admission process for merit based courses Every candidate seeking admission must register online. The candidate details will have to be entered in the online forms found on the official site for admission to DU. After registration, the cut off list will be published. On the centralized web portal, the candidates can check their cut-off. Only those candidates who have scored marks as per the prescribed cut off can move forward with the admission process. Once the candidates select the preferences, the admission form will be generated. Candidates are needed to fill in and get the admission forms along with the documents asked for to the respective college. The college will verify the documents and will approve the admission through the UG admission portal. The candidates can then confirm their admission and make the payment online. Detailed admission process for entrance test based courses Once the results are announced, the merit list will be published online. The allotment of seats will be based on the rank and availability of seats in the colleges. The candidates need to print out the admission form and report to the college where the admission has been allotted. The documents submitted by the candidates supporting the admission form will all be checked and verified by the college. Once the documents are verified, the college will confirm the admission. The candidates can then pay the fees online through the admission portal. If the candidates fail to report to the college on the date and time prescribed, they will never be considered for the subsequent admission rounds.

According to the varsity’s official website, the online registration will begin from 2 March 2020. Interested applicants can visit the official website ntajnu.nic.in. The exam will be held from 11 May 2020 to 14 May 2020. And the admit cards for the same will be rolled out on 21 April 2020. The tentative date for the declaration of result is 31 May 2020. The test will include multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 100 marks. The duration of the online examination is 90 minutes. "We made our decision comprehensively because the test-taker, who was not even coughing, continued not to cover the nose intentionally," an official at the National Center for University Entrance Examinations told Asahi. "It is not misconduct to occasionally uncover noses when participants feel difficulty in breathing," the official added. For instance, divide science into four grades — science for doctors and engineers, science for sportsperson, science for humanities. If a child wants to become a journalist, he can take A grade language and maybe C grade of science so that if he has to cover science, he is well-versed with the basics," Sisodia explained. The move aims to provide a blended learning experience to students. As of now, the school curriculum helps them with only 10% of entrance examination syllabus, making them go for extra coaching classes. This comes on the back of massive opposition in the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/cbse-exam-registration-fee-hike-rolled-back/articleshow/70669606.cms">examination fee hikes</a> rolled out by CBSE. The board increased the exam registration fee for SC and ST students by 24 times, making it ₹1,200 from the existing ₹50. It also doubled the exam fee for class 10th and 12th students of general category to ₹1,500, which was ₹750. However, it rolled back the fee to ₹50 for the Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST) students studying at government schools.
