The scheme is aimed at supporting the development of improved varieties for increasing the production and quality of tea. Under the scheme, the setting up of 800 self-help groups and 330 farmer-producer organisations (FPO) in the next two financial years (2024-26) has been proposed, Amardeep <keyword id="20865624" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="singh-bhatia" source="keywords">Singh Bhatia</keyword>, Additional Secretary in the <keyword id="19992661" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="department-of-commerce" source="keywords">Department of Commerce</keyword> said, adding that the outlay has been increased from Rs 2.7 crore to Rs 105.5 crore for this purpose. "Outlay for the scheme has been increased by 82 per cent from Rs 290.81 crore to Rs 528.97 crore for the next two financial years (2024-25 and 2025-26)," he told reporters here. He said that a significant increase in outlay has been made to promote Indian Tea in both domestic and international markets. The funds for the promotion of tea have been increased to Rs 72.42 crore. For setting up blending and packaging units for value addition, Bhatia said Rs 40 crore has been allocated. "The objective is to increase exports, especially in value-added segments and consumption of quality tea," he said adding a new component of technological interventions for tea plantation has been included for activities like precision farming, drone surveillance, traceability and blockchain, and digitization of activities of <keyword id="20037006" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tea-board" source="keywords">Tea Board</keyword>. India is the third largest exporter of tea in the world. The exports dipped by over 4 per cent to USD 673 million during April-January this fiscal.

That's according to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, who addressed the seizure <a href="https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1517385438469791749">in a Friday post on Twitter</a>. "The DPRK hacking group started to move their Axie Infinity stolen funds today. Part of it made to Binance, spread across over 86 accounts. $5.8M has been recovered," he wrote, referring to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.Zhao didn't specify names attached to the 86 accounts potentially involved in the crypto heist. An <keyword id="4668945" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="nft" source="Orion">NFT</keyword> is a unique, non-editable <keyword id="50691" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Digital" source="Orion">digital</keyword> token that is part of a blockchain and often purchased with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. An NFT can be associated with any form of digital asset such as an MPEG or a <keyword id="354063" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="gif" source="Orion">GIF</keyword>, but the most common use case today is digital art like JPEGs. "NFTs are not inclusive of all our community and create a scenario of the haves and the have-nots," Minecraft said in a statement late on Wednesday. "The speculative pricing and investment mentality around NFTs takes the focus away from playing the game and encourages profiteering, which we think is inconsistent with the long-term joy and success of our players," the company added. To ensure that Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience, Blockchain technologies will not be permitted to be integrated inside Minecraft's client and server applications. "Nor may Minecraft in-game content such as worlds, skins, persona items, or other mods, be utilised by Blockchain technology to create a scarce digital asset," the company announced. The company further said that NFTs and other Blockchain technologies creates digital ownership based on scarcity and exclusion, which does not align with its values of creative inclusion and playing together. "We are also concerned that some third-party NFTs may not be reliable and may end up costing players who buy them. Some third-party NFT implementations are also entirely dependent on Blockchain technology and may require an asset manager who might disappear without notice," Minecraft warned. There have also been instances where NFTs were sold at artificially or fraudulently inflated prices. "We have no plans of implementing blockchain technology into Minecraft right now," it added.
