The silicon valley of India, Bengaluru, is too noisy and and perhaps even over-hyped. We aren’t saying this, but the start-ups based out of that region claim as much. So, what are they doing about the situation? A few of them are quietly shifting their base from <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=coimbatore">Bengaluru to Coimbatore</a> to avoid the hullaballoo of the state capital and focus on quality. Some of them include Dhruv Kumar of online medical advice platform, iCliniq who shifted to Coimbatore 3 years ago after his 2 year stint in Bengaluru. 
 
"I wanted to be out of all the noise and focus on building a quality product," said Kumar. "There are events all the time and the place is flooded with funding stories. Those days, we thought we were a tech startup and did not focus enough on the health and business side." 
 
A much-focussed development and the wait for the product to mature have been rewarding for him. iCliniq now has more than 1,000 doctors on its platform and they have so far addressed tens of thousands of health issues. It gets a large portion of revenue from the US and Europe. 
 
"Entrepreneurs are celebrated in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/indian-govt-wants-more-indian-airlines-to-take-up-international-routes-says-civil-aviation-minister/articleshow/43165558.cms">Coimbatore</a>," the 27-year-old told ET, cheerfully. The cotton-growing region saw its first industries in ginning and moved on to make garments, machinery, automobile and many ancillary products. It is often called the 'Manchester of South India', drawing comparison with the first industrial city. 
 
Several young entrepreneurs like Kumar, who started up in Bengaluru are shifting to Coimbatore. Do-PartTime, a part-time job discovery portal, is another example and one of the reasons for the shift was talent retention. "Every company has a dynamic workforce, which frequently shifts, and a static workforce with loyalty. In a place like Coimbatore, the teams stick around," said Kumar. 
 
Coimbatore has pleasant weather conditions like Bengaluru and is seeing its fair share of startup activity. The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Know-why-GAP-HM-chose-Delhi-over-Mumbai-and-Bangalore/articleshow/47328005.cms">Coimbatore c</a>hapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a non-profit consortium that promotes entrepreneurship, has identified 47 active startups. 
 
One of the catalysts for them is the educational institutions in the region that have helped establish a sound technical ecosystem, TiE-Coimbatore President Selvakumar said. 
 
There are five incubation centres in and around the city, almost all of them set up by a technical education institution. PSG STEP, the incubation arm of PSG Institute of Technology, was established in 1998, much before any other college, including IIM Ahmedabad, did so. 
 
The centre incubates startups in IT, electronics and mechanical streams from Coimbatore. NanoTechnolgy was added to the list recently.

Move over Bengaluru, Coimbatore is the new start-up city

For a long period of time, India was just a low-cost destination for some of the world's largest companies, from where they could get their back-office software projects started. However, with the advent of life-altering technology and start-ups, this trend started to change. 
 
This week, top executives of some of the world's biggest technology buyers including Toyota Motor Corp, Colgate-Palmolive and telecom giant Bharti Airtel will be visiting India’s favourite tech city Bengaluru to attend rapid-fire pitching sessions from Indian software product start-ups such as Aujas, Canvazify and FarEye. 
 
These technology giants have spent several years outsourcing software development and maintenance to India's IT industry, which now stands at $160 billion. Now, they want to leverage India for a different purpose altogether; they now want to get in touch with some of the country's most innovative start-ups. 
 
"India is no longer seen as just a services economy," said Piyush Singh, former CIO of Great American Insurance Co and co-chair of the In-Tech50 event. "A lot of these large Fortune 500 companies have moved beyond leveraging India for IT sourcing and moved on to leveraging top technology talent from countries like India." 
 
The event, which would last for two days, CIOs from around the globe will listen to pitches from more than a dozen start-up entrepreneurs and may even choose to invest in or sign partnerships with them. 
 
The top three start-ups from the event will also receive an offer to join the accelerator programme of Silicon Valley-based business accelerator Plug and Play, from where they can get in touch with potential investors in the US.

Tech giants from around the globe are in India to listen to pitches from several Indian start-ups

<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=WalmartLabs">WalmartLabs</a> is going to change its <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=business+strategies+">business strategies</a> for India, which is witnessing a boom in start-up culture. The US-based company, which was dependent on outsourcers, is planning to strengthen its in-house technology team in India. 
 It has decided to cut back on third-party outsourcing to India and has plans to add hundreds of jobs at its <keyword id="6354321" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Bengaluru">Bengaluru</keyword> centre over the next few years, Walmart tech chief <keyword id="1015034" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Jeremy-King">Jeremy King</keyword> said. 
 
He also said that the digital arm of the US-based retailing major <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=WalMart+Stores+">WalMart Stores</a> would strengthen its engagement with startups from India. 
 
WalmartLabs has changed it strategies, shifting away from the outsourcers which used to be 80% earlier to 20% now. “Typically when we outsource, it's a very specialist sort of technology or capability that we're looking for and we just go with one of the big guys. So, our relationship has changed dramatically in the last four years and we say you can't outsource innovation," King said. 
 While parent <keyword id="46675" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Wal-Mart">Wal-Mart</keyword> continues to work with third-party outsourcing firms such as <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Infosys">Infosys</a> and <keyword id="6357150" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="TCS">TCS</keyword>, WalmartLabs is taking a radically different approach. 
 
He said: "If you're trying to deal with large-scale or new-age shopping or something innovative, it's something very difficult to express your customer problems to third parties.” While <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=WalMart+Stores+">Wal-Mart as a corporation enjoys a strong relationship</a> in many areas in the back-office and some other places, he added. 
 
This is not the first instance in recent times of Indian IT's large customers moving work away from outsourcing companies. US home improvement giant Lowe's, drug maker AstraZeneca and retailer Target are among a number of companies that are taking a hard look at their outsourcing strategies or have started insourcing more tech work to their own captive centres. 
 
Walmart tech chief informed that he met a number of Indian startups during his recent visit to Bengaluru and is looking to work closely with and potentially invest in Indian startups for disruptive new bets and technology. 
 
On being asked about the motive behind this trip, King said he visited the city to take a look at startups. “Frankly, we're opportunistic about what to do with startups -we're excited about Bengaluru startups in particular. They're becoming more and more innovative versus more and more copycat. Starting to see a lot more innovative products coming out of startups here - so typically, we partner with startups and talk to the team.” 
 
The question arises why only Bengaluru! 
 
“If we really like the technology, we talk to them about using their technology and tools -we'll hopefully be much more active in Bengaluru in the near term," he said. 
 
WalmartLabs is working on innovative new technology solutions to improve the in-store experiences of customers and is even leveraging open-source technologies, King said. 
 
"We've done a lot of innovations that are related to in-store digital experiences -I've talked about products like Savings Catcher and InstaWatch, so if you buy a physical gift at the store, then you get a digital copy automatically into your digital account and these innovations are very interesting, especially when you think of the scale of Wal-Mart," said King.

Indian start-ups are wooing WalmartLabs! Know why

<keyword id="6390344" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Cisco">Cisco</keyword> today launched its own startup launchpad program at its Bengaluru centre, an initiative to accelerate startups and support growth in India’s startup ecosystem. 
 
Cisco’s in-house teams would help mentor and co-work with startups to help build businesses. Startups will be offered office infrastructure, mentorship, investments, validated use-cases to work on and Cisco’s proprietary GTM (go to market) engines to co-develop solutions for partner organizations. 
 
Amit Phadnis, President of Engineering at Cisco said, “You can call this an accelerator plus plus. It’s a consortium to solve the problems of the next 3 billion Indians on their way to digitization.” 
 
The programme aims to connect over 50 billion devices to the current ecosystem through digitization. This would be done by matching ideas to business acumen and talent to investors and customers. 
 
When asked about investments open to contestants, Phadnis said, “We have committed to invest over $280 million via CDA (Cisco Digitization Acceleration) and other investment programs. The entire amount is potentially open to these startups.” 
 
The launchpad would have a selection programme, post which 5-8 startups would be shortlisted basis their business plans, team strength and other parameters. These would then have access to Cisco’s infrastructure, the company’s channel partner ecosystem and a select customer-base to test their technologies to validate and scale these ideas. 
 As a part of the launchpad, Cisco and <keyword id="43217" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tech-Mahindra">Tech Mahindra</keyword> have coordinated to develop solutions for Indian electric utilities. The duo would partner with startup s to drive digitization in the power sector. 
 
The US networking major had announced series of strategic investments in India earlier this year, including $40 million to fund early-stage and growth-stage startups in the country. It has also launched a Global Delivery Center in Pune that would see its employee strength doubling over the next two years. 
 
With the upcoming Pune centre, India is the only country in the world where Cisco will have two global delivery centres, the first one being in Bangalore. 
 
Today, Bengaluru houses nearly 30% of the country’s technology startups, including the biggies like Flipkart, Ola, and InMobi. The city has the world’s second-fastest growing startup ecosystem, and is among the top 15 largest startup ecosystems globally.

Cisco launches its own startup launchpad

Infosys co founder Nandan Nilekani, has made an undisclosed investment in a Bengaluru-based eye care chain called Drishti, which focuses on providing affordable treatment in underserved markets. 
 
The funds would help Drishti expand its reach to six more districts in Karnataka when it goes into the next phase of expansion. 
 
“Providing affordable healthcare leveraging technology is a very critical issue. I like Drishti's approach and believe that the co-founders Kiran and Anjali have their heart in the right place, and want to build a sustainable business with high impact,' Nilekani told <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/money/bangalore-based-drishti-gets-funding-from-billionaire-nandan-nilekani/articleshow/52881651.cms">ET</a>. 
 
Drishti has thus become the ninth venture to have been backed by Nilekani, who has been on an investing spree in the last few months. 
 
"The investment will help Drishti realise its goals - to deliver quality eye care through eye hospitals, telemedicine supported vision centres and mobile eye clinics," said Kiran Anandampillai, founder and CEO of Drishti. 
 
"This gesture is going to have a long term impact," said Anjali Joshi, co-founder of Drishti. "It would mean that by employing innovation we will be able to touch the lives of millions in the semi urban and rural areas." 
 
Other start-ups backed by Nileknai include robots maker Systemantics India, crowd-sourced platform that provides train-related travel information RailYatri, online deal-making platform LetsVenture, logistics firm Fortigo and book publisher Juggernaut among others.

Nandan Nilenkani invests in this Bangalore-based eye-care startup

<keyword id="705865" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mukesh-Bansal">Mukesh Bansal</keyword>, who once headed Flipkart's commerce platform and co-founded Myntra, has found a new way to keep himself occupied. Bansal is backing a Bengaluru-based start-up called Cult, as he looks to tap the fitness market. The amount that he has invested in the start-up remains unknown. 
 
Cult is focused on training programmes without using any traditional gym equipment. 
 
It was only a few days back that Bansal had announced a new venture in the healthcare and fitness space along with Ankit Nagori, his former colleague from Flipkart. Both Bansal and Nagori had quit Flipkart in February. 
 
"This is a unique and interesting idea in the space of fitness. I have personally trained here and realize the potential it has to offer. They are looking to expand within and outside of Bengaluru with the fresh capital," Bansal told TOI. 
 
There are talks of Cult's services being integrated with Bansal's new healthcare start-up, even though nothing has been officially announced. 
Talking of Cult, it is co-founded by Rishabh Telang and his brother-in-law Deepak Poduval, and has been operating since May last year. Along with an existing centre in the suburbs of Bengaluru, there are plans to open a few more centres in Bengaluru before they expand to other cities.

Ex-Flipkart honcho Mukesh Bansal invests in Bengaluru-based fitness start-up

As reported earlier, Apple is setting up a development center in Bengaluru, for which it is said to have leased over 40,000 square feet of office space in BENGALURU. 
 
"The company has signed the letter of intent with Galleria, a mixed use project in Yelahanka in Bengalore," said one person aware of the matter. 
 
Galleria, the 3 lakh sq ft office space, belongs to Standard Brick Tile Company, and boasts of tenants like Comviva and Atkins. 
 
The new facility from Apple is planned to be spread over two floors, with an in-house high-end development centre.

A self drive trip to the Dead Sea
or a yoga trip to the Himalayas: this Bengaluru start up is offering such
experiential trips

A US court has asked <keyword id="285457" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Antrix">Antrix</keyword> Corporation, the commercial arm of Indian Space Research Organisation, to pay compensation of USD 1.2 billion to a Bengaluru-based startup, <keyword id="406024" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Devas-Multimedia">Devas Multimedia</keyword>, for cancelling a satellite deal in 2005. As per the agreement in January 2005, Antrix agreed to build, launch and operate two satellites and to make available 70 MHz of S-band spectrum to Devas, which the latter planned to use to offer hybrid satellite and terrestrial communication services throughout India. The agreement was terminated by Antrix in February 2011. Over the next several years, Devas approached various legal avenues in India. This included the Supreme Court, which directed for a tribunal. In his order dated October 27, Judge Thomas S Zilly, US District Judge, Western District of Washington, Seattle, ruled that Antrix Corporation pay a compensation of USD 562.5 million to Devas Multimedia Corporation and the related interest rate amounting to a total of USD 1.2 billion. In its lawsuit filed in the US District Court, Western District of Washington in September 2018, Devas Multimedia said three separate international tribunals and nine different arbitrators have found the termination of the Devas-Antrix agreement to have been wrongful, with one of the tribunals describing it as "conduct 'which shocks, or at least surprises, a sense of juridical propriety,'" and another finding it to be "a clear breach of simple good faith" by India. Antrix, in November 2018, had sought the dismissal of the lawsuit citing jurisdictional issues. The court, however, asserted that it had jurisdiction over the issue, but stayed the matter for one year and asked the two to file a joint status report by April 15, 2020. On July 16, 2020, both Devas and Antrix filed the instant motion, a Joint Status Report in which they disputed whether the court should lift or extend the stay, and, if the latter, whether Antrix be required to post security. Devas, according to submissions, has argued that the US court has jurisdiction over these cases, as Antrix engages in business in this district and across the United States. Antrix and Spaceflight Industries, which is headquartered in Seattle have an agreement to provide satellite launch services using India's PSLV rocket. Antrix and RBC Signals LLC, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington have a worldwide agreement to provide space communications services to satellite operators. Antrix in 2018 launched a satellite for Redmond, a Washington-based Planetary Resources. Antrix agreed in 2015 to launch two satellites for Colorado-based PlanetiQ. Antrix is contracted with DigitalGlobe, which has headquarters in Colorado and other locations in Florida, Virginia and Washington to procure certain satellite data, which is then distributed by the Indian Space Research Organisation's National Remote Sensing Centre. Devas said that after the initial signing of the agreement, the two companies performed in good faith for five years. Among other things, in May 2009, Dr Appanna Bhaskarnaryana, the Director of the Satellite Communications Programme Office of <keyword id="6358064" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="isro">ISRO</keyword>, spent four to five weeks in the US with Devas personnel meeting with Hughes Networks, Sirius XM SkyTerra, Qualcomm and ICO North America to understand the technologies used by, and operation of, hybrid satellite-terrestrial operators providing telecommunications services. Devas subsequently conducted experimental trials in India (attended by Antrix officials, including the company's then chairman), Chengdu and Beijing in China, and Stuttgart in Germany, which successfully demonstrated the hybrid satellite-terrestrial systems and end-user terminals that Devas had developed in conjunction with a global network of leading technology players such as Alcatel Lucent, it said. On February 25, 2011, Antrix issued a termination notice to Devas, which among other things stated that the policy decision was of the central government, acting in its sovereign capacity is the event of force majeure, which was an occurrence on February 23, 2011. "The scope and duration of the said decision cannot be anticipated. It is likely to be indefinite. It is not possible for Antrix to take any effective step to resume the obligations under the agreement," Antrix said. Devas disputed Antrix's repudiation of the agreement and sought to conduct discussions among senior management as contemplated by that agreement. In June 2011, Devas commenced arbitration proceedings under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce. Antrix initially refused to participate in the arbitration and obtained an injunction from the Indian Supreme Court enjoining the arbitration. After one year, the Supreme Court lifted the injunction, allowing the arbitration to proceed. Thereafter, Antrix participated fully in the arbitration. Bengaluru-based tech companies raised record levels in the first three quarters of this year with $7.5 billion in VC funding -- up from $5.2 billion in 2021, a report showed on Wednesday. <keyword id="6354321" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="bengaluru" source="Orion">Bengaluru</keyword> and <keyword id="6354968" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="london" source="Orion">London</keyword> feature among the top 10 cities globally for the most amount of VC investment over the last five years, according to the report from London &amp; Partners in partnership with <keyword id="4569046" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="dealroom" source="Orion">Dealroom</keyword>. The two major funding rounds for Bengaluru-based companies this year include Swiggy's $700 million round in January and $55.7 million Series D for Ather Energy. In fact, Bengaluru is now attracting more investments than other global hubs such as Singapore, Paris and Berlin, the report mentioned. "In the last few years, London and Bengaluru have created an increasing number of exciting immersive tech companies. This research proves that these cities are not only the top hubs in their regions for immersive companies but are also competitive on the global stage," said <keyword id="8601925" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="hemin-bharucha" source="Orion">Hemin Bharucha</keyword>, Country Director at London &amp; Partners. Bengaluru and London are also two of the world's leading hubs for VC investment into immersive tech startups, where Bengaluru ranked fourth in the world with $510 million raised in 2022, followed by London in fifth place For the Indian companies that are looking to grow their operation in <keyword id="28249" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="europe" source="Orion">Europe</keyword>, "London's strengths in the creative industries and gaming provides the expertise and talent needed to scale successfully", Bharucha added. In Europe, London is the leading hub for VC investment into immersive tech start-ups. The report highlights Europe as the fastest-growing region for immersive tech innovation, with startups having raised a record $1.4 billion in 2022 to date. Fuelled by the growth of AR, VR and Metaverse technologies, the report showed that immersive tech funding is bucking the trend for global start-up investment in 2022. Lalbhais is the most rooted business family in Ahmedabad. <keyword id="192475" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kulin-Lalbhai">Kulin Lalbhai</keyword>, who belongs to the family, had a tough time when he decided to move to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Bengaluru+">Bengaluru </a>for his new venture. He had to go through a series of disapprovals, but the 29-year-old finally moved out with his wife and daughter. 
 Many thought he made this move because he split up with the family, but Kulin disagrees. He says, “It's nothing like that. My family is very dear to me I'm still in Ahmedabad at least once a month. But I realised I need to be in <keyword id="6354321" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bengaluru">Bengaluru</keyword> 90% of the time for this venture. It's a sacrifice for all of us." 
 
He told Economic Times that how his family business always had a major presence in Bengaluru, but the family never felt the need of having someone based over there. 
 The garment brand’s major manufacturing has been done in Bengaluru and the CEO of <keyword id="589879" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Arvind-Lifestyle">Arvind Lifestyle</keyword> has traditionally operated from the city. But in its expansion plan, the another creation, Arvind Internet has now started creating an ‘omni-channel’ that combines the group's physical retail presence with eCommerce and the leadership needs here are very different from the garment business. 
 
"The tech business is driven by entrepreneurial energy," says Kulin. 
 
"It's not easy attracting people, putting together a team. You need to be there yourself, to lead them," he added. 
 
It’s not just about Lalbhais, over the past couple of years, most of the ambitious and young enthusiasts have shifted their base to the city. 
Recently, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Paytm-founder-may-permanently-shift-his-base-to-Bengaluru-Know-why/articleshow/48855924.cms">Paytm founder Vijay Sharma</a> made and announcement that he is planning to move to Bengaluru. 
 
Kunal Shah of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Freecharge">Freecharge</a>, Pranay Chulet, of Quikr and Pankhuri Shrivastava, founder of Grabhouse are three Mumbai entrepreneurs who moved to Bengaluru recently. Shah has lived in Mumbai all his life. "My operations were in Bengaluru anyway and I was spending 60% of my time there. Any change is hard, but I think this change will be good for me. When you're creating a disruptive business, you're better off being away from the old companies," Shah says. 
 
"You have to be here if you need tech talent," says Pranay Chulet, founder of Quikr. "In Mumbai, we could find marketing people, but we were not able to hire enough engineers. Since I've moved to Bengaluru, I've plugged into the local ecosystem and created a team of 200 engineers." <keyword id="1417134" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shishir-Baijal">Shishir Baijal</keyword>, MD Knight Frank India estimates that the cost of housing here is half that of Mumbai and commercial space is 40% cheaper. 
 
While Quikr found it hard to attract engineers from Bengaluru to Mumbai, it had no problem at all persuading its existing tech team to move to Bengaluru. Maybe it's the opportunity to work with like-minded people that are reimagining business or maybe it's the weather, but young engineers are all too happy to move to Bengaluru. 
 The city's ecosystem includes venture capitalists (VCs), startup accelerators, social impact funds and an urban market that serves as an experimentation lab. When <keyword id="250677" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vishal-Bali">Vishal Bali</keyword> quit his job as the CEO of <keyword id="735105" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Fortis-Healthcare-International">Fortis Healthcare International</keyword> in Singapore to turn entrepreneur last year, he decided to locate his company, Medwell Ventures, in Bengaluru. He has since bought Nightingales, a local home healthcare company, and is expanding it pan-India. 
 
"Technology will play a major role in healthcare in the future, which is why many new healthcare start-ups are in Bengaluru," he says. "The city is also good for proof of concept. We were able to prove our idea works in Bengaluru. We couldn't have done this if we started in a city like Mumbai, where the cost of learning is high."

Bengaluru: Tech lovers’ paradise in the making

There was a time when start-ups were considered to be risky. However, the success of start-ups in the recent past has led to an incessant rise in the popularity of start-ups. However, the shortage of spaces in coming-of-age cities has always been a problem, to solve which, there was a need of <keyword id="358590" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Micro-Markets">micro markets</keyword>. 
 
And now, the growing demand for commercial space from start-ups in India has led to a 10% increase in the rentals of the hubs for these companies, as per the real estate services firm CBRE. 
 
"The cities that led the demand include Bengaluru and Gurgaon. By 2020, there will be 11,500 startups, employing over 250,000 people," Ram Chandnani, managing director-transaction services at CBRE South Asia, told ET. 
 
Out of the total demand for office market, nearly 10% is driven by ecommerce companies, which barely existed about two years ago. However, in 2015, these companies leased 4.3 million sq ft as compared to 0.54 million sq ft in 2014, said CBRE data. 
 
"At a time when quality supply is drying up in the market, the additional demand coming in from e-commerce has surely had a positive effect on the rental values of key ecommerce favourite micro markets like Mumbai's Eastern Suburbs, Whitefield in Bengaluru and NH8 in Gurgaon," Ramesh Nair, COO, business and international director at JLL India, told ET. 
 
The demand from e-commerce is generally directed towards quality Grade A spaces that provide large floor plates in the peripheral business districts of various cities. These cities include Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. 
 
"We have been seeing active interest from e-commerce companies, which are now an important segment of our overall portfolio. It is a small but interesting new area and we have been looking at different solutions to respond to this segment," Mike Holland, CEO of Embassy Office Parks, a JV between Embassy Group and Blackstone, told ET.

Rent for commercial start-ups spaces sees 10% rise because of high demand

New Delhi, Feb 12 () Denave, a sales-tech enablement firm, has set up a new centre in Bengaluru and plans to hire over 450 people in the next three years. The Noida-headquartered company said the new centre has been set up to kick-start next phase of Denave's business growth, and the company will tap into technology-driven local talent pool to accelerate its foothold in southern India. "We are starting with a 50-seater operation. Over the next three years, we plan to scale up the capacity to over 500 people," Denave Global CEO and co-founder Snehashish Bhattacharjee told . He added that the new centre aligns with the company's business model of syncing knowledge base, methodologies and processes with the local market domain expertise and leveraging nuances of region-specific work culture to effectively boost business. "Bengaluru is an important cog in the evolving technology landscape in India and its par excellence tech talent will help us improve our market coverage within India and accelerate our in-roads into related industries outside India," he said. Bhattacharjee said that initially, the company will spend around Rs 3-5 crore per year and over the next three years, the investment will grow to around Rs 20 crore per year. "At this point in time, we are expanding our recruitment capabilities putting dedicated engines for upskilling to meet the current business requirement. Eventually, the plan is to expand India operations with Bengaluru being an important delivery centre," he added. SR HRS
