According to an exchange filing, with a growing number of customers transitioning to 5G, Airtel is reallocating its mid-band spectrum to expand 5G services across the 1800, 2100, and 2300 MHz bands nationwide. The re-farming of the mid-band spectrum aims to provide customers with enhanced <keyword id="726530" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="browsing-speeds" source="Orion">browsing speeds</keyword> and improved <keyword id="2551158" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="indoor-coverage" source="Orion">indoor coverage</keyword>. sleek design and comes with an aluminium unibody design, giving it a sturdy and premium feel. The tablet measures 7.52mm and weighs 568 grams. The tablet comes in two colour options - Quick Silver and Graphite Grey. I got the Graphite Grey colour variant, which comes with a dual-tone matte finish. The area around the rear camera setup has a long strip in a darker tone, while the rest of the back features a lighter tone. <div type="image" title="Back" msid="114583789" hostid="261" sizebytes="52882" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Redmi Pad Pro 5G rear design&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The tablet comes with a minimalistic design, featuring two circular modules at the back – one for the camera and one for the LED. It comes with Redmi branding at the bottom. Apart from this, there’s nothing at the back. Thanks to its metallic body, you don’t have to worry about fingerprint smudges. The volume rockers have been placed considering that the tablet will be used vertically and horizontally. The volume rockers are on the right when held vertically and on the top when used horizontally. <div type="image" title="Top" msid="114584038" hostid="261" sizebytes="25798" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Power button and speakers&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The power button is on the top when held vertically and on the left side when held horizontally. I had no issues using the volume rockers and the power button. The SIM tray has been placed on the right side, along with two microphones. The tablet is equipped with quad speakers – two at the top and two at the bottom. It works well both indoors and outdoors, so you won’t have to worry about using it in sunlight. The tablet’s high resolution and refresh make it an excellent option for watching your favourite movies and shows, gaming and more. <h2>Redmi Pad Pro 5G software and performance</h2>The Redmi Pad Pro 5G runs on Android 14 out of the box, with the company’s HyperOS on top. For those unaware, Xiaomi has replaced MIUI, the company’s custom skin with HyperOS. The tablet will get two years of Android updates and three years of security updates. The tablet comes with a host of connectivity features, including the Smartphone Link feature that allows you to transfer data from your Xiaomi smartphone and tablet easily. In addition to this, you also get a shared clipboard feature, which allows you to copy text and images from your smartphone and paste them onto your tablet. In terms of performance, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It is available in two variants – 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage. I tested the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant. This is a mid-range chipset that offers decent performance and is enough to get you through your day-to-day activities. While it is not the most powerful chipset, I did not notice any stuttering or lags while gaming at default settings. The device does get slightly warm after an extended gaming session. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a huge 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The battery on the tablet is good, offering two days of battery life with some gaming and steaming. Another important feature of the tablet is that it supports 5G connectivity, which is great to have, especially for data connectivity. <h2>Redmi Pad Pro 5G camera</h2>It features an 8MP primary camera with 4K recording support and comes with an 8MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording support. Redmi Pad Pro 5G review – reliable tablet with a large battery

State-owned <keyword id="19970536" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="BSNL" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="BSNL" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="BSNL">BSNL</keyword> will start rolling out <keyword id="21279641" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="4G-services" source="keywords">4G services</keyword> across the country from August, using completely indigenous technology in line with the government's "Atmanirbhar" policy, according to official sources. BSNL officials claimed to have recorded peak speed of 40-45 megabit per second on the 4G network which has been rolled out in the premium spectrum band of 700 megahertz (Mhz) as well as in 2,100 Mhz band during the pilot phase. The company has rolled out 4G services in Punjab using indigenously developed technology by IT company TCS and state-run telecom research organisation C-DoT-led consortium and onboarded around 8 lakh subscribers. "The 4G core developed by C-DoT is performing very well in the BSNL network in Punjab. It was installed in July last year. It takes 12 month to prove the success of such complex technology but the C-DoT core has stabilised within 10 months. BSNL will launch atmanirbhar 4G technology across the country in August," a senior government official, who did not wish to be named, told PTI. The core network is a collection of network hardware, devices, and software that provides fundamental services in a telecommunication network. Telecom regulator <keyword id="19942079" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Trai" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Trai" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Trai">Trai</keyword> in a recent paper explained core as part of a network that offers the functionality of aggregation, call control, switching, authentication, charging, gateway functionality, etc. TCS, Tejas Networks and government-owned ITI have bagged orders worth about Rs 19,000 crore from BSNL for deploying 4G network which is upgradable to 5G. In a recent earnings call, Tejas Networks Executive Director and chief operating officer Arnob Roy said BSNL's mobile network is getting deployed across zones. He said that wherever the C-DOT core is not available on the BSNL network, the equipment is getting integrated to the existing core. "When the C-DOT core gets deployed in those circles, in those zones, they will get parented to the C-DOT core as well. Tejas Networks Limited. This is just a temporary situation where the RAN (radio access network) is deployed and in that zone, the core is not available," Roy said. "The company has installed over 9,000 towers for 4G service across the country, out of which more than 6,000 are active in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, UP West and Haryana circle. Signaltron founder Himamshu Khasnis told PTI that the chip used in the Sahyadri LTE base stations has been developed by Signalchip. Earlier in 2010, Khasnis and his team founded a fabless semiconductor company Signalchip to make chips for 4G and 5G networks. "Signaltron has built the entire system indigenously using India's first chips for 4G and 5G networks developed by Signalchip. This is the first time an Indian system running on an Indian chip for complex communication technology has been inducted into the army. Using indigenous chips gives a high degree of control on the security of the system in its operation," Khasnis said. He said the Indian Army had posted a bid on GeM (Government e-Marketplace) for the supply of 4G LTE NIB (Network In a Box) solution last year. "Signaltron proposed the Sahyadri NIB solution and came out successful in stringent technical trials. Subsequently, Signaltron also won the competitive bid to supply the equipment. Weighing just 7 kgs, Sahyadri Network In a Box (NIB) systems provide high-quality secure wireless communication for audio, video and data applications," Khasnis said. He said the Sahyadri NIB is capable of working in both standalone and cellular modes and capable of seamless inter-operation with legacy analogue and IP telephony systems. The majority of the base stations deployed in India are not made in India. Even the few that are made in India do not have indigenous chips inside, which is the most strategic and important component of modern electronic devices and equipment. Signaltron has supplied 20 units to the army and the deployment of the base stations depends on their strategic requirement, Khasnis said. "We have supplied 20 units to the army. The Army takes its own call on when and where to deploy base station. Since they are light and mobile units, it gives them the flexibility to change the location as per their requirement," he added. At present, there is no fabrication facility in India for modern semiconductor chips. Signalchip has designed the chip indigenously and owns the entire technology that the chips deliver. In a model similar to leading semiconductor companies like Nvidia, Qualcomm, Mediatek etc, Signalchip also gets its chips fabricated through third-party wafer fabs. Khasnis said the Indian base station market is expected to be about USD 24 billion by 2029. "With the use of indigenous systems, there could be significant savings to forex and also boost GDP. There are sizeable market volumes available in India and worldwide. Modernisation targets of different sectors like defence, railways etc. are excellent opportunities for indigenous solutions," he said. Khasnis said that the CNPN (Captive Network-Private Network) 4G/5G market worldwide is expected to cross USD 30 billion by 2030, which will enable large possibilities for the local chip-based base stations, thereby providing economies of scale. Although it did not divulge the size of the deal, market watchers say that at BT's valuation of roughly USD 15 billion dollars, the deal could be in the ballpark of USD 4 billion. The shares will be purchased through Bharti Televentures UK, which is wholly-owned by Bharti Global. Bharti Televentures UK has inked an agreement with Altice UK to acquire about 9.99 per cent stake of BT Group's issued capital imminently with the rest about 14.51 per cent of BT's share capital is to be acquired post regulatory clearances. Telecom billionaire Patrick Drahi's Altice UK, the largest shareholder in BT, has been struggling with high debt. "Bharti Global, the international investment arm of Bharti Enterprises, a leading Indian business group with world-class companies in telecoms, digital infrastructure and space communications, has reached an agreement to acquire an interest in 24.5 per cent of the issued share capital of BT Group plc from Altice UK," Bharti said in a release. Bharti hopes the investment will further help create new synergies in the telecom sector between India and UK in the areas of AI and <keyword id="19916120" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="5G" source="keywords">5G</keyword> R&amp;D and core engineering among others, "offering great potential to collaborate on industry best practices and emerging technologies". It is pertinent to mention here that Bharti and BT have a relationship going back more than two decades. In 1997, BT acquired a 21 per cent stake in Bharti Airtel, and hence Bharti's latest move to acquire a 24.5 per cent chunk in the iconic British company marks a defining moment for the Indian telecom conglomerate. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises said: "Bharti and British Telecom (BT) have an enduring relationship going back more than two decades wherein BT owned 21 per cent stake along with two board seats in Bharti Airtel Limited from 1997-2001. Bharti's investment in BT aims to support the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards his vision in elevating and broadening the India-UK ties, the release said. It noted that during the recently concluded visit of UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy to India, the UK-India Technology Security Initiative was announced to expand collaboration in critical and emerging technologies across priority sectors including telecom. Sunil Mittal said: "This investment in BT aims to support the commitment of our Prime Minister towards his vision in elevating and broadening the India-UK ties. It has a range of more than 600 miles and carries a warhead of nearly 100 pounds.These notorious drones are relatively cheap compared to other Russian weapons like ballistic or cruise missiles and can be launched in swarms in a bid to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses. Spectrum auction ends with bids worth ₹11,000 crore, Bharti Airtel emerges as the biggest bidder

Bharti <keyword id="15491" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="airtel" source="Orion">Airtel</keyword> on Wednesday announced that it has crossed the one million unique 5G user mark on its network, as the telecom operator rolls out 5G services in a phased manner. The company said it achieved this milestone in less than 30 days of its commercial launch even as the network is being built. "Our network is being built every day even as all 5G devices are now capable of working on the Airtel 5G Plus network barring a few exceptions which should also be done in the coming weeks. We will continue to advance our network with a vision to connect the entire country," said Randeep <keyword id="266533" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="sekhon" source="Orion">Sekhon</keyword>, CTO of Bharti Airtel. Earlier this month, Airtel kicked off 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, <keyword id="12864" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="chennai" source="Orion">Chennai</keyword>, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, <keyword id="4072" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="nagpur" source="Orion">Nagpur</keyword> and Varanasi. The services in these cities are getting rolled out in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the rollout. "These are early days, but the response from customers has been very encouraging," said Sekhon. The company promises between 20 to 30 times higher speeds than the current speed, coupled with brilliant voice experience and super-fast call connection. Customers who have 5G smartphones will enjoy the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing data plans until the roll-out is more widespread.
