But in Chinese, the words refer to any skill - combat-related or otherwise<span> </span><span>- </span>that requires patience and discipline, <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/23/world/asia/hong-kong-kung-fu.html">according to the New York Times</a>.</p><p>And though kung fu's popularity <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/23/world/asia/hong-kong-kung-fu.html">surged in the early 20th century</a>, it's really an ancient art <span>- </span>some styles even <a href="http://www.blackbeltmag.com/category/chinese-martial-arts-history/">date back thousands of years</a>. </p><p>Today, participation numbers appear to be dwindling, but some devoted practitioners are still keeping the practice alive. Fintech startup Razorpay buys SaaS firm TERA Finlabs

<p>The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/bank-at-harbin-ice-and-snow-festival-2013-12">30th annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival</a> opened yesterday in <keyword id="1334" type="COUNTRY" weightage="60" keywordseo="China">China</keyword>'s northern city of Harbin.</p>
<p><span>Nearly 10,000 workers built palatial structures out of some <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/bank-at-harbin-ice-and-snow-festival-2013-12" target="_blank">180,000 square meters of ice and 150,000 square meters of snow</a>.</span></p>

New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (<keyword id="19942079" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="TRAI" source="keywords">TRAI</keyword>) has urged the government to launch the <keyword id="22872478" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tera-Hertz" source="keywords">Tera Hertz</keyword> Experimental Authorisation (THEA), a program aimed at boosting research and development in the Tera Hertz frequency band.<br /><br />This frequency band has unique properties that could make it crucial for next-generation wireless communication technologies, including <keyword id="20669191" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="6G" source="keywords">6G</keyword>.<br /><br />On Wednesday, TRAI released its recommendations on the Tera Hertz Spectrum. This followed a request from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on December 8, 2022, for advice on using unused or minimally used spectrum bands in the Tera Hertz range for limited periods to generate demand.<br /><br />"The purpose of THEA should be to promote Research &amp; Development (R&amp;D), indoor and outdoor testing, technology trial, experimentation, and demonstration in the 95 GHz to 3 THz range," stated TRAI.<br /><br />These recommendations are intended to empower entrepreneurs, startups, and academic institutions to explore new technologies and applications within this high-frequency spectrum. The spectrum has immense potential in various fields, including telecommunications, automotive, and medical industries.<br /><br />TRAI has proposed a five-year authorisation period for THEA, with the possibility of extending it for another five years. This allows for extensive experimentation and development. Innovators can apply for THEA by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 1,000, making it accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.<br /><br />"Any Indian Entity (Academic institute, R&amp;D Laboratory, Central/ State Government, public sector unit, Union Territory, Technology Park, telecommunication service provider, incubator, original equipment manufacturer, etc.) should be eligible to obtain THEA," mentioned TRAI.<br /><br />The authorisation covers several frequency bands, including 116-123 GHz, 174.8-182 GHz, 185-190 GHz, and 244-246 GHz, with specific provisions for automotive radar systems in the 77-81 GHz range.<br /><br />Experts believe THEA will significantly enhance India's technological landscape by enabling hands-on experimentation. This will help innovators assess the performance and viability of their products during crucial development stages. Additionally, it will support the "Make in India" initiative.<br /><br />"Upon implementation, the new experimental authorisation regime recommended by the Authority will provide a boost to the 'Make in India' initiatives of the Government," TRAI added.<br /><br />THEA's launch aligns with the government's broader vision of fostering a culture of innovation and research in the country.<br /><br />"The introduction of next-generation <keyword id="22150173" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="wireless-technologies" source="keywords">wireless technologies</keyword> that could be deployed both indoor and outdoor, operating over distances ranging from less than a meter to several hundred meters, and deliver increased capacity and reliability for existing use cases as well as new and emerging use cases," said TRAI.<br /><br />By encouraging the development of advanced solutions, India aims to enhance its technological capabilities and contribute to global advancements in various industries. New Delhi, May 1 () Around 21,000 employees of BHEL honed skills through e-learning during lockdown to combat COVID-19, the state-run engineering firm said on Friday.<p> Undaunted by the unprecedented halt in operations due to the lockdown, BHEL has achieved a major milestone by successfully implementing a huge employee engagement initiative, it said in a statement.</p><p> In the past one month, the company has reached out to nearly 21,000 employees to maintain continuity and to facilitate the transition to work-from-home.</p><p> In addition to focusing on the health and wellbeing of its employees, BHEL has effectively used this lockdown as an opportunity to sharpen the skill set and creativity &amp; productivity of employees, BHEL said.</p><p> The company has created more than 230 learning opportunities through various e-learning courses / webinars / training on technical, functional, managerial and behavioral domains. </p><p>  BHEL has also collaborated with external resources for certified online-learning courses. </p>The company has also leveraged its vast IT infrastructure to support remote learning by arranging nearly 1000 webex licenses for extensive coverage. Lee.</p><p>Lee Sang-hoon was <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/samsung-chairman-sentenced-to-jail-for-violating-labor-laws-11576578638">convicted of violating union labor laws</a> in December 2019, and sentenced to 18 months in jail.</p><p>"Samsung suffered a major setback to its bid to strengthen its board ... and it would need a fresh face to turn around," said Park Ju-gun, head of research firm CEO Score, adding that the move was widely expected given that Lee Sang-hoon is in prison.</p><p>Samsung said Lee's successor will be appointed in the near future and could be picked from remaining members of its board, which consists of six external directors and three internal executives. Those include the three CEOs of Samsung's components, mobiles and consumer electronics divisions.</p><p>The change at the top comes as Jay Y. <p>All that could change in the coming year as the Chinese government has announced that Dongxiaokou is facing demolition to make way for new urban development.</p>

<p>Then Jobs said, "This is how I do it. I take a sheet of paper, and I say, 'If my company can only do one thing next year, what is it?' Literally, we shut everything else down."</p>
<p>During his second, famously successful run as Apple CEO, Jobs applied this strategy to the "top 100" retreats he would hold with Apple's leadership, biographer <a href="https://hbr.org/2012/04/the-real-leadership-lessons-of-steve-jobs">Walter Isaacson writes in the Harvard Business Review</a>.</p>
<p>On the retreat's last day, Jobs would stand in front of his employees with a whiteboard and write down suggestions for what Apple should be doing next.
