LVM3 was launched from <keyword id="6356967" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="satish-dhawan-space-centre" source="Orion">Satish Dhawan Space Centre</keyword> in Sriharikota at around 9 AM. "LVM3 standing 43.5 metres tall and weighing 643 tonnes lifted off from the second launch pad rocket port carrying OneWeb's final instalment of 36 Gen1 satellites", said the officials. Reportedly, the LVM3 is a three-stage rocket with the first stage fired with liquid fuel, the two strap-on motors powered by solid fuel, the second by liquid fuel and the third is the cryogenic engine. "Just over 19 minutes after the rocket's take off, the process of satellite separation will begin. The separation of 36 satellites will happen in a phased manner", as informed by the officials. Earlier social media handle of OneWeb satellite communications company and a partner in this mission took to Twitter and said, "Our golden 'Hello World' mission patch for this launch reflects our initiation of global coverage this year". One Web also mentioned the importance of collaboration between the UK and Indian space industries. One Web further tweeted, "OneWebLaunch18 will see us launch 36 satellites with @isro and @NSIL_India from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. This mission marks OneWeb's second satellite deployment from India, highlighting the collaboration between the UK and Indian space industries". In the year 2022 on October 23, ISRO launched 36 satellites of OneWeb. It was the first satellite deployment collaboration between the two organizations. ISRO launches India's largest LVM3 rocket from Sriharikota

Dubai, May 9 () An Indian teenager here has recorded songs in over 20 languages, including Arabic, to spread awareness on the COVID-19, saying music has always been her choice for effective communication, according to a media report on Saturday. Suchetha Satish's songs advise the people to keep distance, maintain cleanliness and practice hand washing regularly, the Khaleej Times reported on Saturday. Satish, who hails from Kerala, released her first coronavirus awareness song on March 16 in English, titled 'Say No To Panic', the daily reported. Since then, 14-year-old Satish, who holds the world record for singing in most number of languages in a concert, has recorded the awareness songs in Malayalam, Bengali, Arabic, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Marathi, Gujrati, Rajasthani, Sindhi, Himachali, Odiya, Manipuri, Nepali, Urdu, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Telugu, Kashmiri and Sanskrit. Her songs in Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Assamese were used by the Kerala government in its 'Break the Chain' campaign, the newspaper reported. Satish, who also holds the world record for the longest live concert by a child, calls herself a COVID-19 warrior. "Music has always been my language of effective communication. With help from my mother Sumitha, I did the lyrics and composed the whole song. My mum helped me with the editing of the video. I took inputs from my father to give authentic information and thus the song was made. The recording was done in my home studio," said Satish, a standard X student of Dubai Indian High School. The lyrics for the songs were penned by her mother, the music was composed by Prashanti Chopra and the orchestration by Denzil Tom, her father told the newspaper. Emirati poet Dr Shihab Ghanem translated the lyrics in Arabic. She said the entire process of making the song took about four days. Mumbai, May 20 () The stimulus package announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman "fails to involve" banks in the economic revival process, a member of the Reserve Bank of India's central board said on Wednesday. The stimulus package is "imaginative and forward looking, yet fails to involve banks as frontline warriors in revival of economy," Satish Marathe, a member of RBI's central board, said in a social media post. Sitharaman had announced a series of measures following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of a Rs 20 lakh crore stimulus package to help the economy. Marathe shared a viewpoint from analysts at rating agency Crisil's research wing, which is sceptical about the near-term benefits of the package to make his point. He said the three-month moratorium offered for loan repayments announced by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is "not enough" and also listed out other expectations for the benefit of the banking sector. These include relaxations in non performing asset (NPA) and provisioning, he said. Marathe, who has been deeply associated with the cooperative banking sector, said all these "norms need to be part of the stimulus for putting India once again on the growth trajectory". It can be noted that industry bodies have also been pitching to the RBI for relaxations on aspects like moratorium, NPA recognition and provisioning. The package announced by Sitharaman has been termed as "maximum bang for the minimum buck" by an analyst for the very low impact on the fiscal math and dependence on other factors like guarantees to achieve the impact. According to estimates, its fiscal impact varies from 1-2 per cent of the GDP, while Modi had mentioned that the measures will entail a stimulus close to 10 per cent of the GDP. However, most of the analysts have welcomed the long-term potential of the moves, especially the long awaited reforms, but have been sceptical about its short-term impact on growth. "I am hoping that the first technology transfer will happen in India between ISRO and industry. The Request for Interest (RFI) was released and as a single (entity) or as consortia, a company can show interest on the technology transfer (from ISRO) and what were the expectations from ISRO and how to qualify for such missions," he said. From the interactions held with the industry it emerged there was a huge amount of interest for them to learn about space, he added. "We told them it will be a huge challenge for anyone to learn rocketry from scratch. It is not just transferring technology, we are transferring the knowledge on how things are done (at ISRO). It is not the drawings alone, it is the knowledge behind those drawings we transfer to industry," according to Somanath, also the Secretary, Department of Space. Through the industry partnerships, ISRO would teach them on how to build a rocket, he said and added that the industry should qualify as per the criteria put forth by ISRO. The company should possess manufacturing capabilities, manufacturing facilities and financial strengths of a company would be assessed, he said. "We will add weightage and marks based on the performance of the company and based on that the companies will be shortlisted and a contract would be given to them after the companies which have to pay a technology transfer fee," he said. Some of the unique features of SSLVs are -- it provides low-cost access to Space, offers low turn-around time and flexibility in accommodating multiple satellites, 'launch on demand' feasibility and SSLV missions demand minimal launch infrastructure.

ISRO targets first Gaganyaan mission launch by December: Chairman

Reportedly, the space agency will not charge anything to launch the satellite. The designers of the satellite work with a private organisation that deals in science and innovation — Space Kidz India. The startup organisation has also laid plans on creating another satellite — Vikramsat — that could be used for biological experiments in space. The communication satellite is planned for launch on Thursday (24 January) at 11:37 PM, along with MicrosatR — an imaging satellite for Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, ISRO tweeted. India’s space agency is set to launch ‘Kalamsat’ — a 3D-printed satellite designed by Indian students

Kolkata, Apr 6 () The microfinance institutions(MFIs), which are currently feeling the pinch of thecoronavirus pandemic with their operations being suspendedduring the nationwide lockdown, are concerned about the near-term growth of the industry, officials said on Monday.The MFIs will concentrate more on protecting theirexisting portfolios, once the lockdown will be lifted, andmany of them may shelve their expansion plans for the timebeing, a self-regulatory organisation of the sector,Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) chairperson ManojKumar Nambiar said.Speaking on the outlook for the industry, he told :"Performance of the MFIs in the current fiscal which has justbegun, will depend on when the lockdown will be lifted and howquickly the governments, both the Centre and the states,arrest the pandemic."The first quarter will certainly get affected ascollections will fall in April and May because many borrowerswill opt for the moratorium package."Nambiar, further said, disbursements to existingcustomers will continue but micro-lenders will be cautions toextend credit to the new ones during this crisis period.The short-to-medium-term impact of the coronavirusoutbreak and the subsequent measure of the lockdown to combatthe pandemic seems to be more on the urban in-formal sector ascompared to agriculture-based rural activities, another selfregulatory organisation of the sector, Sa-Dhan executivedirector P Satish told ."MFIs with more exposure in urban informal sectorswill face more difficulties than an lending institution havinga large number of rural sector borrowers," he said.The Association of Microfinance Institutions, WestBengal member and Village Financial Institution's managingdirector Kuldip Maity said it will take at least six monthsfor non-agro portfolios to get into normalcy and the overallindustry growth for the FY21 may slip to 15 per cent.Ruling out any possibility of retrenchment in thesector amid the threat that the economic growth will beadversely impacted due to COVID-19 crisis, Nambiar said, "Theindustry will need to retain their staff so that thecollection and the recovery activities can start once thelockdown is over."However, he said, "expansion plan of many institutionswill either be put on hold for the time being or required tobe tweaked as the MFIs will try to protect their existingportfolio and concentrate more on the steadying the ships.""Certainly, they do not want to expand into newgeographies in this point of time," he added.Despite the disruption in the second half of March,the last month for a financial year, due to the coronaviruspandemic, Satish is, however, optimistic that the microfinanceindustry will clock an growth of about 20 per cent in FY20over the previous year, but apprehensive about the same in thecurrent fiscal.During the lockdown period, the operations of the MFIshave been mostly suspended. Branches are closed and no field-work is going on. Staff of the institutions are currentlyworking from home and engaging with the customers over phone,Nambiar said."Microfinance is basically a group-based lendingapproach. Since there are restrictions on movement, neithermembers of small borrowers' groups, nor loan officers ofmicrofinance institutions are able to meet."Almost everything becomes standstill. Loandisbursement as well as collections from borrowers came to ahalt during the lockdown," Satish said.A few organisations are disbursing advances throughonline arrangement, which accounts for not even 10 per cent ofthe business, he said.The disbursements as well as collections wereadversely impacted due to the coronavirus outbreak and theongoing nationwide lockdown, the officials said.Usually, the disbursements reach its peak beforeclosing of a business year, and last week of March is alwayshectic, Nambiar, who is also managing director of ArohanFinancial Services, said."A rough estimate suggests that Rs 500 crore of moneyis usually disbursed to micro borrowers by the MFIs on a dayin the last week March. Owning to the lockdown, around Rs3,500 crore could not be disbursed to borrowers by 75-80entities in the last seven days of FY20," he told .He said the first half of April is, however,considered to be a "slow period" in terms of disbursement.Collections from borrowers have also been affectedduring the 21-day lockdown imposed to contain the COVID-19pandemic, he said."The loan portfolio of the microfinance industry byend of December 2019, was about Rs 2.12 lakh crore and thecollections per month typically stands at an average 9-10 percent of that."Again, a rough estimate indicates that around 5,000crore of money could not be collected during the last week ofMarch," Nambiar said.Asked whether the three-month moratorium, as per RBI'sguideline, will be extended to the micro borrowers, he said,the package will be "offered to small borrowers and it is upto them whether they will opt for it or not"."The scheme is about extending the loan tenure bythree months. There is a cost implication in the form ofinterest rates, if one opts for the moratorium package. But noborrowers will be penalised for delay in payments for March,April and May," he said.MFIs also started seeking the 3-month moratorium onloan repayment from their lenders such as banks and otherfinancial institutions, Satish said."The MFIs expect a back-to-back moratorium from theirlenders who are banks and financial institutions. This is veryimportant as without that the micro lenders would not be ableto extend loans to their end clients who need it the most inthis difficult period," Nambiar said.Satish predicted the micro credit demand willhopefully pick up with the progress of the current financialyear, as small borrowers will need fund to reorganise theirbusinesses as and when the normalcy in the economy isrestored. Built on the Microsat/IMS-1 bus, EOS-08 carries three payloads--Electro Optical Infrared Payload (EOIR), Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry payload (GNSS-R) and SiC UV Dosimeter. The EOIR payload is designed to capture images in the Mid-Wave IR (MIR) and Long-Wave IR (LWIR) bands, both during the day and night, for applications such as satellite-based surveillance, disaster monitoring, environmental monitoring, fire detection, volcanic activity observation and industrial and power plant disaster monitoring. The GNSS-R payload demonstrates the capability of using GNSS-R-based remote sensing for applications such as ocean surface wind analysis, soil moisture assessment, cryosphere studies over the Himalayan region, flood detection, and inland waterbody detection. The SiC UV Dosimeter monitors UV irradiance at the viewport of the Crew Module in the Gaganyaan Mission and serves as a high-dose alarm sensor for gamma radiation.

Satish Kumbhani founded BitConnect in 2016 and had previously been accused of securities fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission for the misuse of <keyword id="11893902" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="bitcoin" source="Orion">bitcoin</keyword> raised from global investors. He is now charged with a litany offenses, which are punishable by up to 70 years in prison."Kumbhani is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit commodity price manipulation, operation of an unlicensed money transmitting business, and conspiracy to commit international money laundering," the DOJ said.Kumbhani remains at large, according to the DOJ. Insider has reached out to Kumbhani for comment.The DOJ said 36-year old Kumbhani misled investors in BitConnect's 'Lending Program', in which users traded in their bitcoin for BitConnect's own coin. This then locked the value of the coin for a set amount of time and in turn they received daily interest payments. The DOJ said Kumbhani and his co-conspirators touted the benefits of BitConnect's 'Trading Bot' and its 'Volatility Software', claiming it was able to generate profits and guarantee returns by trading on the volatility of cryptocurrency <keyword id="11893875" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="markets" source="Orion">markets</keyword>. According to the indictment, BitConnect operated as a Ponzi scheme in reality, where early investors were paid with money received from new investors, rather than through the returns generated by the 'Lending Program'.The indictment says Kumbhani closed the Lending Program after a year and told his network of promoters to fraudulently manipulate and prop up the price of BitConnect's bcc coin to give the appearance of demand for the token. <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/bitconnect-to-shut-down-2018-1?utm_medium=ingest&amp;utm_source=markets">BitConnect shut down</a> in January 2018, just two weeks after the Texas State Securities board issued a cease and desist order.
