The fourth-quarter results exceeded expectations and the move toward positive free cash flow is encouraging, he wrote in a Wednesday note. Yet hurdles remain should Netflix seek to reach neutral free cash flow this year."We have been consistently wrong about Netflix, but optimism about the company's potential to generate free cash flow growth of more than $1 billion per year seems to us to be misplaced," Pachter said. Still, Wedbush doesn't expect any competitors to threaten Netflix's lead in the near term. The company now boasts enough original content to charge recently lifted prices and still keep its legacy subscribers, Pachter said. It's competitors offer less expensive alternatives, but none have the "breadth and depth of content" needed to poach Netflix users, he added.Wedbush reiterated its "underperform" rating for Netflix with a price target of $340.<h2>JPMorgan: 'Free cash flow and buybacks take center stage'</h2>Netflix's beat on subscriber growth and revenue impressed, and the company's first-quarter guidance is fairly conservative, <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/jpm-stock">JPMorgan</a> analysts led by Doug Anmuth said. Lifted lockdowns in Europe and other regions and a strong content pipeline should help the streaming giant clear its own expectation, they added.Despite the impressive growth metrics, positive cash flow and stock buybacks "take center stage," the bank said. Like Credit Suisse, the team expects buybacks to start in the second half of 2021. JPMorgan also projects stronger margins in the first half of the year before hiring and increased travel lift costs.The analysts lifted their price target to $685 and reiterated their "overweight" rating on Netflix shares.Risks to the company's near-term outlook remain. Pulled-forward subscriptions could cut into the company's first-quarter additions, as could price increases in bigger international markets like the UK and Germany, the team said. The lack of free trial promotions that proved popular in past holiday seasons might also cut down on new paying users, they added.<h2>Goldman Sachs: Opportunity 'goes well beyond <keyword id="2574783" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="NFLX">NFLX</keyword>'s current share price'</h2>Analysts led by Heath Terry joined those in the bullish camp, praising the company's accelerated move toward positive cash flow and leap in new subscribers. <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/nflx-stock">Goldman Sachs</a> also deemed Netflix's first-quarter guidance "conservative," noting price hikes and recent outperformance shouldn't dent user growth in early 2021.Ignoring Wednesday's gains, Netflix traded essentially flat over the last six months despite the S&amp;P 500 and Goldman's basked of stay-at-home stocks climbing 17% and 19%, respectively. New Delhi, May 4 () Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) on Monday fell over 2 per cent after the company posted its biggest drop in its quarterly net profit. The scrip of the country's most-valued firm closed 2.16 per cent lower at Rs 1,435.40 after declining 3.22 per cent to Rs 1,419.75 during the day on the BSE. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), it fell 2.11 per cent to close at Rs 1,435. In terms of traded volume, 9.79 lakh shares were traded at the BSE and over 2 crore shares on the NSE during the day. The company's market valuation was at Rs 9,09,947.98 crore. The firm's net profit in January-March fell 37 per cent to Rs 6,546 crore, the lowest in three years, as a rise in consumer-facing business was not enough to shield the firm from fall in the petrochemical business. The profit was also down due to a one-off spending. The company's board approved a rights issue of Rs 53,125 crore, which it said was the biggest in India and the first by RIL in three decades. "The price of rights issue has been determined at Rs 1,257 per share and the share ratio at 1:15," the company said in a statement on Thursday. Domestic equity markets were closed on Friday on account of 'Maharashtra Day'. Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Silver Lake, one of the world's largest tech investors, agreed to invest Rs 5,655.75 crore to buy a 1.15 per cent stake in Jio Platforms. That compared with expectations for a 566 million franc loss in its own poll of 18 analysts. Despite a larger slowdown in the economy as well as in people’s consumption, Reliance Retail saw its pre-tax profits grow by 66.8% to ₹2,322 crores as opposed to ₹1,392 crores in the same quarter last year. The revenue from Reliance Retail grew to ₹41,202 crores as opposed to ₹32,436 crores in the same quarter last year. New Delhi, May 4 () Shares of Reliance Industries (RIL) on Monday fell over 3 per cent after the company posted its biggest drop in quarterly net profit. The scrip of the company declined 3.22 per cent to Rs 1,419.75 on the BSE. On the NSE, it fell 3.31 per cent to Rs 1,417.45. The firm's net profit in January-March fell 37 per cent to Rs 6,546 crore, the lowest in three years, as a rise in consumer-facing business was not enough to shield the firm from fall in the petrochemical business. The profit was also down due to one-off spending. The company's board approved a rights issue of Rs 53,125 crore, which it said was the biggest in India and the first by RIL in three decades. "The price of rights issue has been determined at Rs 1,257 per share and the share ratio at 1:15," the company said in a statement on Thursday. Domestic equity markets were closed on Friday for 'Maharashtra Day'. Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Silver Lake - one of the world's largest tech investors - agreed to invest Rs 5,655.75 crore to buy a 1.15 per cent stake in Jio Platfroms. Revenue and earnings are projected to fall slightly below the consensus forecast, but <a href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/stocks/jpm-stock">JPMorgan</a> maintains that investors should stick with the company.For one, the analysts said, "do not expect these price increases" to pressure subscriber additions. Netflix could add 4.7 million subscribers to close out the year, well below the expectation of 6 million new users, he said, adding that earnings could land above Wall Street estimates while revenue comes in just below the consensus.Where the company stumbled on adding new subscribers it maintained content quality and made inroads in key markets. Reviving canceled franchises, cross-promoting genres, and expanding its international offerings helped Netflix keep members from jumping ship for other services, the analyst said."The company has been heroic in finding innovative ways to deliver new content to customers," Pachter said. "Netflix's experience in adapting foreign content to new markets has resulted in the company maintaining its content quantity lead over its competitors."Still, the quality lead isn't enough to stave off balance-sheet pressures. Wedbush expects increased spending on content to drive negative free cash flow in 2021 before Netflix breaks even the following year.
