Some people have raised the fact that this can have an unintended negative effect for enabling harassment or stalking.The green dot is turned on by default, but you can turn it off completely, or enable it to be seen only by mutual followers. It probably wasn't all that hard to recreate it for Threads.Sometimes at Big Tech companies, there is internal pressure to ship products and launch new features simply for the sake of justifying your existence to the boss. (I have no idea if this happened here!)For now? Heck it, I'm leaving my little green dot on. And it's now an effectively solved problem," Rauch said."Grounding" techniques, such as retrieval-augmented generation, are now popular additional steps where new information is injected into the AI model Q&amp;A process so users get fresher, more accurate answers.<h2 id="7864491c-2425-46e0-8698-9b6b7789a19a">At the "bleeding edge"</h2>The result is that AI chatbots and similar tools can now answer a lot more questions."AIs will be so knowledgeable in the vast majority of topics and news," Rauch said. "What's going to stand out the most to users of the internet is content that is at the very bleeding edge that the AIs have not been trained on, and have not even received queries for yet."The best example of this is exclusive news or other original breaking information, he explained."The people that break that news are gonna have a disproportionate advantage over the rest," Rauch said. Other types of content will already have been ingested by AIs, so that will be a lot less valuable, he added.<h2 id="05ad7d43-33fa-4c4f-a48a-c8a811c403bb">A new level of speed</h2>Vercel helps developers build the user-facing parts of web applications, so the startup has deep experience with online content and publishing.Rauch sees speed as another crucial part of surviving in the era of AI-powered content distribution."AIs still need to aggregate, summarize, consume, index," so getting exclusive information online as quickly as possible is key here, he explained.Rauch shared a recent example where he was looking online for information about <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/nvidia-may-lose-ai-inference-market-groq-cerebras-2024-8">Nvidia</a>'s quarterly results right when the chip giant was releasing its financials."I saw that MarketWatch had this real-time thing, where it almost seemed like the journalist was typing as I was consuming the page," Rauch said. "I'm very much attracted to that as a consumer, and that's why I actually didn't get an AI overview for that answer."<h2 id="6d8d7da8-f7ed-4435-9125-69d5bfcabea9">Moving away from SEO</h2>Rauch also sees a move away from <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/seo-heist-ai-generative-artificial-intelligence-google-2023-12">Search Engine Optimization</a>, where website owners obsess about how they rank in Google Search results.AI models and chatbots will form their own "opinion" on topics and this will be based heavily on the frontier content that's been used to ground these AIs, he explained."Instead of just purely focusing on where you rank in terms of blue links, you have to shift to where you stand in terms of the frontier content that the AI has ingested that, therefore, forms its opinion," Rauch said.He describes this as "monitoring what's in the mind of the AI.""We haven't been confronted with this reality yet. It hasn't really fully sunk in for people," he added.<h2 id="a1cfae12-9a6b-4d3a-8922-e8b2d67965e0">Unique perspectives and experiences</h2>When AIs know almost all the facts already, unique human perspectives and experiences will become more valuable, Rauch also predicted.A description of a new piece of software will likely be handled by AI, but a developer's own experience using this software will stand out."This is my experience with this piece of software; no one can deny that. Right? And this is not something that will be so subject to summarization by the AI," Rauch said. "Actual opinions are going to be worth more."

After undergoing the therapy, she said she experienced fewer hot flashes and an increased sex drive. Miller's doctor also prescribed her a low-dose antidepressant to help get rid of her mood swings and a GLP-1 medication to help her lose about 60 pounds, which helped regulate her blood pressure.According to Joanna Strober, Midi Health's CEO and cofounder, doctors may also prescribe supplements and lifestyle changes to patients who want to manage their symptoms.<h2 id="4b765042-0d6a-48bb-8bfe-e17b54eb8608">Ramping up menopause research</h2>As the demand for women's midlife-healthcare support grows, research and education are critical to improving treatments and support."We started Midi out of a realization that very few doctors or medical providers are trained in understanding the issues of women in this age category, particularly with regard to their hormones," Strober said.Knowledge about perimenopause and menopause is still evolving, so more research into effective treatments and interventions is needed to improve and tailor treatments, Minkin said.Researchers are collecting data as part of two long-term National Institutes of Health projects: "The Study of Women's Health Across the Nation" and "Menopause Strategies: Finding Lasting Answers for Symptoms and Health." These studies aim to develop a better understanding of women's menopause symptoms like depression, insomnia, and hot flashes, with the goal of developing <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/health/reproductive-health/how-to-stop-hot-flashes">more helpful treatments</a>.Another influential — but controversial — piece of research has been the Women's Health Initiative. Study results published in 2002 described some types of HRT as increasing some health risks, such as breast cancer and blood clots. In response, doctors resisted prescribing the therapy, Shah said.However, the interpretation of the data in the media and in clinical practice lacked nuance, and secondary research papers have since demonstrated HRT's benefits in most women, according to Shah. "To be honest, the medical profession is still catching up on the data," Shah said.To further address the need for perimenopause and menopause research and medical care, Congress introduced in May the bipartisan Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women's Health Act. The bill is being reviewed by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. If it's passed, the legislation would boost federal research and public-health promotion of menopause care. Additionally, in his 2024 State of the Union address, President Joe Biden called on Congress to invest $12 billion in women's health research, which would include menopause.Most recently, a phase 3 Bayer study found that the nonhormonal treatment elinzanetant can help reduce the severity and frequency of hot flashes, according to a September 10 press release from the pharmaceutical company.<h2 id="4a418015-96ba-41b3-bf0f-9ec33fffe2f5">Expanding treatment options and providers for patient satisfaction</h2>Overall, Minkin said, advancing women's health during perimenopause and menopause requires a comprehensive approach that blends technological innovations like online care platforms with strong research and educational initiatives.An estimated 30% of residency programs in the US offered a formal menopause curriculum, according to a 2023 report published in the journal Menopause. Minkin said this may be a lingering effect of the Women's Health Initiative's preliminary results. She added that an increased focus on menopause across all levels of medical training was needed."Addressing the physiological, mental-health, and social-support needs of women during these stages of life demands a multifaceted strategy," Minkin said. "By integrating technological tools with a strong foundation in research and education, we can work toward closing this gap and improving menopause care for all women."After roughly a year of treatment for her menopause symptoms, Miller is flourishing."I'm getting my doctorate in higher educational administration, and I would have never been able to navigate such an enormous responsibility without menopause care," Miller said. "I feel like anything is possible now."

"We are in a place in Ikea where we can do more advanced and cool stuff. There is an incredible confidence in the company evolving on digital."Sellers list their pre-owned Ikea products on the marketplace with their own photos and listing price, and the site's AI-enabled database automatically populates details like dimensions and promotional images into the listing, FT reported."With this marketplace we want to enable people to connect and support each other to fulfil the needs and dreams of a home and have access to an even more affordable IKEA range," a spokesperson for Ikea told Business Insider.The spokesperson added: "The global second-hand furniture market is growing rapidly, with a projected annual growth rate of 6.4% in 2024. The report 'Assessing the Net Impact of e-Commerce on <keyword id="19898684" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="employment" source="keywords">Employment</keyword> and Consumer Welfare in India' was launched by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. "Plugging in data from our survey, we estimate that online vendors generate 15.8 million jobs, including 3.5 million jobs for women," the report prepared by Pahle India Foundation (PIF), a Delhi-based policy research institute, said. E-commerce, according to the report, has been a key driver of employment generation In India. On an average, online vendors employ 54 per cent more people and almost twice the number of female employees, compared to offline vendors. The report noted that two of the most widely-recognised contributions of e-commerce penetration in the retail sector are --growth in employment and improvements in consumer welfare. It said rather than displacing physical markets, e-commerce is expanding into new territories like tier 3 cities. "Our data shows that a higher percentage of Tier 3 city consumers spend more than Rs 5,000 per month on online shopping as compared to consumers from bigger cities," it said, adding this is the India consumption story, which enables the co-existence of physical and digital retail. The study analysed the impact e-commerce has had on employment and consumer welfare through a pan-India survey of 2,062 online vendors, 2,031 offline vendors, and 8,209 consumers of products from e-commerce websites across 35 cities in 20 states and UTs. According to the report, each e-commerce vendor on an average employs about 9 people, of which 2 are female, while each offline vendor employs about 6 people, of which only 1 is female. It pointed out that there was increase in employment across skill levels, including high-skilled (management, marketing), medium-skilled (customer service, operations), and low-skilled (warehousing, logistics, delivery) functions. The report said that the growth of e-commerce and accompanying digitalisation have fundamentally changed the skill sets and roles required in the industry. "Vendors have experienced improved business performance parameters since listing online, including higher sales and profits," it said. According to the report, 60 per cent and 52 per cent of vendors, respectively, state that their sales and profits have increased since the time they have started selling online. "Overall, more than two thirds of the online vendors interviewed experienced an increase in online sales value and profits in the past year," the report said, adding that 58 per cent saw an increase in both. Barring costs, it said vendors have seen a positive shift in all other aspects of business performance since they started selling online. The report said there is a strong business case for offline vendors to list on e-commerce platforms or pursue an omni-channel strategy. "E-commerce integration has accrued significant benefits to vendors from smaller cities and micro-enterprises," it said. The study also delves into how e-commerce has reshaped consumer behaviour, noting that consumers have shifted to online shopping for reasons that include convenience, product variety, and access. "A highly engaged consumer base is indicated by the fact that more than 50 per cent of all respondents to the survey spent more than two hours on e-commerce platforms a week, and that 70 per cent made a purchase via e-commerce in the last month alone," it said. Speaking at the event, former NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar said, e-commerce has revolutionized India's retail landscape. Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation(MoSPI) secretary Saurabh Garg lauded the government's initiatives expanding digital public infrastructure that have enabled the smooth expansion of e-commerce. AVGC-XR stands for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality. The report further anticipated that the Indian <keyword id="20349295" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="online-gaming-industry" source="keywords">online gaming industry</keyword> will reach to USD 4.6 billion by 2026, with its contribution to the M&amp;E sector rising from 10 per cent to 13 per cent. Currently, the online gaming industry is valued at USD 2.62 billion, as per the report. The report underscores the sector's potential as a major employment driver. The sector is expected to create of over 160,000 new jobs annually, with a total of 20 lakh new jobs anticipated by 2030. The report calls for the swift implementation of the National Draft Policy Framework for AVGC-XR. The report further added that a push in the AVGC-XR sector could accelerate growth, paving the way for a larger, more vibrant creative economy. India's AVGC sector had an overall market size of USD 2.3 billion in 2019, which was about 0.7 per cent of the global market size. The sector is expected to grow 2.2 times over the next four years driven by market forces and constitute about 1.5 per cent of the global AVGC market as per Draft National Policy, AVGC-XR, according to the report. Further, the CII GT report advocates for enhanced Intellectual Property Rights to retain talent and content and the introduction of clear regulatory definitions within the gaming industry. The report also calls for enhanced support for AVGC-XR entrepreneurs through Start-Up India and strategic investments in the National Centre of Excellence to foster innovation and global competitiveness.
