Rajanth Singh, Bipin Rawat, Ajit Doval and three Army Service Chiefs to discuss India-China border issue today

If <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=NSA+level+talks">NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan</a> would have been a success, New Delhi would have showed Islamabad that the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Captured-terrorist-says-Its-fun-doing-this-Udhampur-terror-attack/articleshow/48362757.cms">captured terrorist Mohammad Naveed</a> is a Pakistan national, which the country has been denying. 
 
A 39-page dossier, containing details of Naveed, were to be handed over by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ajit+doval">National Security Adviser Ajit Doval</a> to his <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/DawoodIbrahims-wife-let-slip-the-secret-of-the-worlds-most-wanted-terroristswhereabouts/articleshow/48621680.cms">Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz</a> during the NSA-level talks that was called off. 
 
The dossier reads that Naveed was trained under three different terror training camps in 2011 and 2012 and was trained by 17 Pakistanis. The camps are in Halen Det Mosque in Forward Kathua, PoK from where Naveed was launched into India along with three other terrorists on May 27. 
 
The dossier mentions a mobile number of Zong service provider used by Naveed in Pakistan and now the Indian government has also sought US help to get call detail records. 
 
Pakistan claimed that Naveed was not in their national database but India says an identity card was issued to him by the National Database and Registration Authority of Pakistan in 2014. 
 
The dossier contains phone numbers of his parents and three siblings. 
 
The Indian agencies also hacked the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=facebook">Facebook</a> account of Naveed's cousin Taheer to get photographs of some of his family members and the details will be shared with Pakistan through a Letter Rogatory. 
 
The 24 pages of the dossier consist of photographs and Google maps locations of Naveed's residence, his relatives’ houses and the 3 terror camps in Pakistan till May 2015. Naveed has identified the locations. 
 
India has also named one 40-year-old Maulvi Bashir of Jamil Park in Ghulam Mohammad Abad who motivated Naveed to join LeT.

Officials told Reuters that the progress of laying down these fibre cables is happening at ‘breakneck speed’. Rajnath Singh to address Parliament on India-China border row as tensions continue to simmer in Ladakh

Mumbai, Jul 7 () Market gauges Sensex and Nifty extended gains for the fifth straight session on Tuesday, helped by intense buying in financial stocks as investors brushed aside surging domestic COVID-19 cases to focus on monsoon progress. After swinging between gains and losses during the session, the BSE Sensex finally ended 187.24 points or 0.51 per cent higher at 36,674.52; while the NSE Nifty settled with 36 points or 0.33 per cent gains at 10,799.65 -- the longest winning streak for both gauges in a month. On the Sensex chart, Bajaj Finance was the top gainer, rallying around 8 per cent, followed by IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and HCL Tech. On the other hand, NTPC, ITC, PowerGrid, Tata Steel and ONGC were among the laggards. Sectorally, BSE IT, bankex, finance, teck and auto indices ended up to 2.10 per cent higher; while oil and gas, utilities, metal, energy and telecom indices fell up to 2.42 per cent. Broader midcap and smallcap indices rose up to 0.58 per cent. "Bulls were in complete control as evident in the breadth of the market with financials leading the charge. A good monsoon also cheered a host of companies in auto parts and farm equipment as a feel good factor returned with more participation seen from Investors," S Ranganathan, Head of Research at LKP Securities, said. Analysts also attributed the Indian equities performance to easing tensions between India and China at Ladakh border. The Chinese military on Monday began a limited pull-back from a number of friction points in eastern Ladakh, a day after NSA Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi agreed on completing the ongoing disengagement process along the LAC "expeditiously", government sources and officials said. Investor sentiment was further boosted by other positive factors like sustained foreign fund inflows. Foreign institutional investors were net buyers in the capital market on Monday, purchasing equities worth Rs 348.35 crore, provisional exchange data showed. Though, experts cautioned that rising COVID-19 cases will continue to weigh on investors' risk appetite going ahead. The number of cases around the world linked to the disease has crossed 1.16 crore and the death toll has topped 5.38 lakh. In India, the number of infections spiked to 7,19,665 and the death toll rose to 20,160. Bourses in Shanghai ended with marginal gains, while those in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul closed in the red. Stock exchanges in Europe were also trading on a negative note in early deals. Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude futures fell 1.02 per cent to USD 42.66 per barrel.  The Washington Post had published documents released by the <keyword id="6376533" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="National-Security-Agency">National Security Agency</keyword> (NSA) whistleblower <keyword id="1702690" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Edward-Snowden">Edward Snowden</keyword>, which revealed the US surveillance agency had received official permission to spy upon six political parties across the world, including the BJP. 
According to reports, the government has sought an assurance from Washington that such acts will not happen again in the future. "The government told the US diplomats that its concerns remain and want the US to revert on facts. India wants an assurance that such acts will not be repeated," an official said. 
 
According to the latest document revealed by Snowden, NSA had the ‘official authority’ to spy upon the BJP, Lebanon's Amal (which has links to Hezbollah), the Bolivarian Continental Coordinator of Venezuela (with links to FARC), Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood and National Salvation Front and Pakistan People's Party.

India Asks US Not To Repeat Acts Like Spying

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had no plans to visit Lahore and was supposed to come back from Kabul to New Delhi. But his impromptu plan to visit Lahore sent the security into action, which managed Modi’s visit with aplomb. 
 
Modi had called Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to greet him on his birthday, when Sharif asked Modi to visit Islamabad. 
 
Sharif, who was in Lahore for his granddaughter’s wedding, said he won’t be able to make it to Islamabad and requested Modi to come to Lahore. 
 
This plan of a pit stop in Lahore, that too at Sharif’s residene, which is 45 kilometres away from the airport, was successful all thanks to the security of both the countries. 
 
Senior government officials aware of the deliberations told ET, “Aap Lahore mein ghar aa jayiye, Lahore ke darwaze bhi aap ke liye khule hain (Come to my Lahore home, the doors of Lahore are also open for you). 
 
Then the security concerns were discussed with NSA Ajit Doval and the SPG officials. 
 
"Islamabad has an institutionalised security protocol and setup for VVIP visits from the US and elsewhere which we were comfortable with even in the case of a sudden trip. But the Lahore surprise pit-stop was a big challenge for the SPG," a senior official told ET. 
 
The security overcame two challeneges-IAF chopper at Lahore airport and Modi’s 45-kilometre road journey from the airport to Sharif's Raiwind Palace through the heart of Lahore. 
 
Pakistan promised foolproof security at the Lahore airport and assured a Pak Air Force Chopper would fly both PMs to Raiwind and back. 
 
"Sharif flying in the same chopper with Modi was the biggest assurance that security would be top-notch," a senior official told ET.

 12:00 PM As protests rage on in Delhi over opposing factions over Citizenship Amendment Act, a high level urgent meeting was convened in the national capital to discuss the events. Union Home Minister Amit Shah met representatives of different political parties including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appraise them on the status of violence caused by the protests. As many as seven people died in the violence in which also includes a police head constable. The number of injured also rose to 150 as of 12:45 today. The protests which took a new turn late Saturday (Feb 22) in the Maujpur area and raged on as pro and anti CAA clashed with each other. It was reported that some used guns, other pelted stones and some even tried to set a petrol pump on fire. All of North-eastern Delhi remained tense as Section 144 was imposed in the areas of Maujpur, Kardampuri, <keyword id="3354144" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Chand-Bagh">Chand Bagh</keyword> and Dayalpur.areas on Monday. The Chinese president reciprocated in full measure, when he quoted liberally from Rabindranath Tagore and showed his knowledge of Indian history. Modi spoke of a “new chapter”, a sentiment endorsed by Xi when he said India could look forward to a “spectacular future” under Modi.
