New Delhi, The <keyword id="65338" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Income-Tax-Department">Income Tax Department</keyword> on Monday carried out <keyword id="10539618" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="limited-verification-exercise">limited verification exercise</keyword> at the <keyword id="183089" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="office-premises">office premises</keyword> of the <keyword id="61966" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zee-group">Zee Group</keyword> and <keyword id="90593" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Larsen-and-Toubro">Larsen and Toubro</keyword> to verify into their bogus inputs about tax credit, official said. A senior IT official said, "There are no searches or raids but we are carrying out limited verification exercise at the offices of the <keyword id="147676" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Larsen">Larsen</keyword> and <keyword id="304986" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Toubro">Toubro</keyword> and Zee group as we had information that they had claimed bogus input tax credit." The official said that it is basically a follow up exercise and there is limited action on both the groups. "We are covering these group and the companies related to these groups on account of this bogus input taxes," the official added. The official, however, refused to share the details of the offices where the verification process is being carried out. HDFC Life HDFC Life Insurance Company reported a 6.1% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹327.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The total income of the life insurer jumped nearly 90% to ₹16,426.03 crore, it said in a stock-exchange filing. The shares of HDFC Life ended 2% higher on Monday. MRPL and ONGC Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals will buy 49% stake in ONGC for ₹ 1,220 crore. Also, ONGC has issued non-convertible debentures worth ₹1,140 crore on a private placement basis. The shares of MRPL ended 2% higher on Monday, whereas ONGC gained over 3%. ACC The cement maker ACC reported a 20.25% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹363.85 crore for the third quarter ended September 30. The company follows the January-December financial year. The overall revenue from operations remained flat at ₹3,537.31 crore. The shares of ACC ended 0.41% higher on Monday Larsen &amp; Toubro Infotech and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) Larsen &amp; Toubro Infotech and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) are slated to report their second-quarter earnings today. Equitas Small Finance Bank The Equitas Small Finance Bank ₹517.6 crore initial public offer (IPO) will open today for bidding. Price band has been fixed at ₹32-33 per share. Top stocks to watch — HDFC, HUL, Britannia, ACC, MRPL, ONGC, Coal India, and others

New Delhi, Dec 4 () Engineering major Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) on Wednesday said it has bagged various orders across different business segments in both domestic and international markets.
 The construction arm of L&amp;T has secured orders from clients across various states for its varied businesses, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
L&amp;T's power transmission and distribution business has bagged various orders in India and overseas.
 "In Maharashtra, an empanelment and rate contract has been awarded to provide off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems with standalone lighting systems for farmers in the Aurangabad, Nashik and Pune revenue divisions," the company said.
 These systems will have provision for mobile charging, transfer of automated meter reading and water discharge reading data.
In the UAE, the company secured an order for the design, supply and construction of a substation project with associated cabling works from one of the government utilities.
 Additional orders have been won in ongoing projects in the Middle East, the company said.
 L&amp;T said it has also secured a major add-on order from an existing client in Qatar for an expressway.
 "Additionally, various add-on orders have been received by some existing projects in the Water and Effluent Treatment and Metallurgical and Material Handling businesses," it said.
 Larsen &amp; Toubro is engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over USD 21 billion in revenue. It operates in over 30 countries worldwide.

The transaction will move to the second stage after scrutiny by the transaction adviser, according to a tweet from the Secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM). New Delhi, Jan 10 () Leading stock exchange BSE on Friday said 10 companies, including Larsen &amp; Toubro Ltd, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd and BHEL, have filed applications with the bourse to list their commercial papers (CPs) for a total issue size of Rs 5,745 crore.
 Larsen &amp; Toubro Ltd, Manappuram Finance Ltd, ECL Finance Ltd, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd and BHEL have made applications to list CPs for issue size of Rs 2,995 crore, Rs 775 crore, Rs 500 crore, Rs 500 crore and Rs 450 crore, respectively, the BSE said in a release.
 Besides, Redington (India) Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Prime Ltd, Muthoot Homefin (India) Ltd, The Ramco Cements Ltd and IIFL Wealth Finance Ltd have filed applications to list their CPs for issue size of Rs 175 crore, Rs 140 crore, Rs 100 crore, Rs 75 crore, and Rs 35 crore, respectively.
 After the process, the effective date of listing CPs with the exchange will be January 13, it added.
 "Till date 77 issuers have done 582 issuances of commercial papers and have successfully listed CPs of Rs 1,72,984 crore on BSE. The weighted average yield of these issuances is 6.13 per cent with an average tenor of 149 days," BSE noted.
 A CP is an unsecured money market instrument issued in the form of promissory notes that enables highly rated corporate borrowers to diversify their sources of short-term borrowing and provides an additional instrument to investors.
 Such instruments can be issued for maturities between a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of one year from the date of issue. 
 CPs are usually issued at a discount from face value and reflect prevailing market interest rates. AST

"We are pleased with the settlement agreement, and look forward to bringing a generic version of lenalidomide to market soon subject to regulatory approval for the benefit of patients," Dr Reddy's Laboratories North America Generics CEO Marc Kikuchi said. The share price of Dr Reddy's Laboratories closed 4.26% higher yesterday. TVS Motor Company One of India's largest automakers, TVS Motor, has entered into a new distribution partnership in Colombia. The company has tied up with Autotecnica Colombiana SAS (Auteco SAS), a leading motorcycle assembler in Colombia. Autotecnica Colombiana SAS will operate 50 dealerships exclusive for the company and create dedicated space for the brand in over 600 retail outlets, it added. The share price of TVS Motor closed a percent lower on Thursday. Vedanta Vedanta Resources has approached the market regulator SEBI for necessary approvals to start the reverse book building process. The company, earlier in May, announced its plans to delist Vedanta from the Indian stock exchanges by buying out non-promoter shareholding. The share price of Vedanta closed a percent higher on Thursday. IRCTC IRCTC, the company that operates Indian Railways, is planning to levy ‘affordable’ user charges in 700-1,050 stations across the country. It will help build more revenue while providing better facilities and redevelop stations for passengers. The share price of IRCTC closed a percent higher on Thursday. Hindalco and Hindustan Copper Hindalco said that it has entered into a pact with Hindustan Copper for the long-term purchase and sale of copper concentrate produced by the PSU. Under this MoU, around 60% copper content of Hindustan Copper's current concentrate production will be utilised by Hindalco in the manufacture of refined copper. The share price of Hindalco closed 4% lower on Thursday, whereas Hindustan Copper gained 3% during the closing bells. Sterling and Wilson Solar Sterling and Wilson Solar said that the company had won a 106.71 MW solar project in Chile, it's fifth in Latin America, worth $62.6 million (about ₹462 crore). "Sterling and Wilson Solar has signed an order of 106.71 MW worth USD 62.6 million in Chile. The order has been received from a global independent power producer (IPP), work for which is expected to begin in Q4 FY 2021," the company said in a statement. The share price of Sterling and Wilson Solar closed 5% lower yesterday. HDFC Bank A US-based law firm has filed a class-action suit against HDFC Bank, claiming damages for the losses incurred by investors because of "materially false and misleading" representations made by the bank. The share price of HDFC Bank closed a percent lower yesterday.
