The central government has reduced <keyword id="20442280" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="windfall-tax" source="keywords">windfall tax</keyword> on crude petroleum, according to a government notification. The special additional <keyword id="20253895" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="excise-duty" source="keywords">excise duty</keyword> (<keyword id="20211971" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="saed" source="keywords">SAED</keyword>) on crude petroleum has been slashed from Rs 9,600 per tonne to Rs 8,400 per tonne. The new <keyword id="20452955" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tax-rates" source="keywords">tax rates</keyword> will come into immediate effect. The taxes on <keyword id="6356109" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="diesel" source="Orion">diesel</keyword>, petrol and aviation turbine fuel will continue to remain nil. The government had on April 16 raised the windfall tax on <keyword id="20201860" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="petroleum-crude" source="keywords">petroleum crude</keyword> to Rs 9,600 per cent tonne from Rs 6,800. The retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder would be now Rs 1745.50 in Delhi, sources said. Last month, the price was cut by Rs 30.50 for a 19-kg commercial cylinder at Rs 1764.50. New Delhi [India], March 1 (ANI): Oil marketing companies have announced a significant increase in the prices of commercial Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) gas cylinders, effective from March 1. Sources reveal that the rate of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders has been raised by Rs 25.50, impacting consumers across various metro cities. The revision in prices comes amid ongoing fluctuations in fuel costs and market dynamics. According to the latest updates, the retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will stand at Rs 1795 from March 1 onwards. This adjustment reflects the evolving landscape of fuel pricing and its implications for consumers. Comparing the revised prices with previous rates offers insights into the extent of the increase. In metro cities like <keyword id="19896626" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kolkata" source="keywords">Kolkata</keyword>, <keyword id="19895282" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mumbai" source="keywords">Mumbai</keyword>, and <keyword id="19895758" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="chennai" source="keywords">Chennai</keyword>, the prices of 19 kg <keyword id="20787104" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="indane" source="keywords">Indane</keyword> gas cylinders have also been revised upwards. In Delhi, the price surged by 1.44 per cent (Rs 25.5), reaching a new rate of Rs 1795. Similarly, Kolkata experienced an increase of 1.27 per cent (Rs 24), resulting in a revised price of Rs 1911. Mumbai saw a rise of 1.48 per cent (Rs 25.5), bringing the price up to Rs 1749, while Chennai witnessed an increase of 1.21 per cent (Rs 23.5), setting the new rate at Rs 1960.50. Fuel price surge: Oil companies spike commercial LPG rates, impacting metro consumers

New Delhi, Automobile major <keyword id="42747" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tata-Motors">Tata Motors</keyword> on Thursday launched a new range of intermediate and light commercial trucks -- Ultra Sleek T-Series -- which it hoped will fulfill the growing demand for such vehicles in the country. According to the company, fast economic recovery has galvanised the demand for commercial vehicles. "We are seeing a gradual economic recovery happening. Headline numbers are pointing towards this recovery," Girish Wagh, President, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors told <keyword id="105681" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="IANS">IANS</keyword>. "There is both, upsurge in rural as well as urban demand." On Thursday, the company launched -- Ultra Sleek T-Series -- trucks which are aimed for urban transportation. As per the company, these trucks are available in three models - T.6, T.7 and T.9 with varied deck lengths from 10 to 20 feet to adapt to all the required applications. "Affirming its versatility, 'Ultra Sleek T-Series' has variants available in 4-tyre and 6-tyre combinations and varied deck lengths, the range is curated to suit diverse transportation needs," the company said in a statement. New Delhi, Apr 1 () The price of non-subsidised LPG, or market-priced cooking gas, on Wednesday was cut by Rs 61.5 per cylinder in line with a fall in benchmark international rates. The price of non-subsidised LPG, which a domestic household consumer buys after exhausting his quota of 12 14.2-kg cylinders at below-market price rates, was cut to Rs 744 in Delhi. This is the second reduction in rates since March, according to a price notification issued by state-owned oil firms. On March 1, non-subsidised LPG price was cut by Rs 53 per 14.2-kg cylinder. This was preceded by a massive Rs 144.5 per cylinder hike in February. The two reductions have not yet brought LPG rates to pre-February hike levels. Cooking gas is available only at market prices across the country. Eligible users, however, get subsidy in their bank account for buying LPG cylinders at subsidised rates. Domestic LPG users are entitled to buy 12 bottles of 14.2 kg each at subsidised rates in a year. Price of 19-kg LPG cylinders, used by commercial establishment, came down to Rs 1,285 from Rs 1,381.50, the notification said. ANZ HRS

Non-subsidised cooking gas price cut by Rs 61.5 per cylinder

New Delhi, Jan 22 () Ghana wants to replicate the highly successful Ujjwala model of giving out cooking gas (LPG) connections to the need and has signed an agreement with state-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) seeking its assistance and technical expertise in implementation of the African nation's national LPG promotion policy.
 Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, Chief Executive, National Petroleum Authority (NPA) of Ghana and L K S Chauhan, Chief General Manager (LPG Operations), IOC signed the MoU in presence of Oil Minister Dharmendra pradhan and Michael Aaron, High Commissioner of Ghana to India.
 "With India's emergence as a world leader in provision of clean energy to its citizens by the expansion of its LPG network, Ghana sought assistance from India in its own efforts to promote to safe, clean and environmentally friendly LPG for increased domestic, commercial and industrial usage," an IOC press statement said.
 LPG coverage in Ghana is just 23 per cent and customers have to queue up at petrol stations with cylinders to get a refill. It wants to replicate the Indian model of setting up bottling plants where LPG can be filled in cylinders which are then transported to dealers who deliver them at customer doorstep with a view to expand the coverage to cover at least 50 per cent of the population.
 Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), IOC would support the NPA on the successful implementation of the Re-circulation Model (CRM) of LPG.
 IOC will support to NPA in development of health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) standards as well as design licensing, permit and legal framework. It will help NPA develop economics for LPG bottling plant, pricing structure, and communication strategy.
 The company "will also assist in areas of infrastructure development for the new LPG value chain, support for upgrading capacities of institutions along with policy development and review," the statement said.

<keyword id="59783" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="jet-fuel" source="Orion">Jet fuel</keyword> (ATF) price was on Thursday reduced by 2.3 per cent, reflecting softening international oil prices but <keyword id="6367091" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="petrol" source="Orion">petrol</keyword> and diesel rates remained on freeze for a record eighth month in running. <keyword id="31907" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="aviation" source="Orion">Aviation</keyword> Turbine Fuel (ATF) price was cut by Rs 2,775 per kilolitre, or 2.3 per cent, to Rs 1,17,587.64 per kl in the national capital, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers. The rate reduction, which will provide relief to airlines for whom fuel makes for almost 40 per cent of the operating cost, comes on the back of a Rs 4,842.37 per kl, or 4.19 per cent, reduction last month. ATF price is revised on the 1st of every month based on the average rate of international benchmark and foreign exchange rates. Petrol and diesel prices, however, continued to remain on freeze for a record eighth month in a row. Petrol costs Rs 96.72 per litre in the national capital and diesel comes for Rs 89.62. State-owned fuel retailers are supposed to revise petrol and diesel prices daily based on a 15-day rolling average of benchmark international <keyword id="61430" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="fuel-prices" source="Orion">fuel prices</keyword> but they haven't done that since April 6. Prices were last changed on May 22 when the government cut excise duty to give relief to consumers from a spike in retail rates that followed a surge in international oil prices. Also, after seven reductions, the price of commercial LPG, whose rate too is revised on the 1st of every month, remained unchanged on Thursday. A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder, which is used by hotels, restaurants and other business establishments, continues to cost Rs 1,744 in the national capital. In seven cuts, rates had previously come down by Rs 610 per 19-kg cylinder. However, rate of LPG used in household kitchens remained unchanged at Rs 1,053 per 14.2-kg cylinder. Rates differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes.

New Delhi, Mar 2 () Jet fuel (ATF) prices were on Monday slashed by a steep 10 per cent, the second straight reduction in rates in as many months, as international oil prices slumped on fears of the spread of coronavirus. Simultaneously, the rates of non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) were cut by Rs 53, wiping away a third of the record Rs 144.50 per cylinder price hike effected last month, according to a price notification issued by state-owned oil firms. Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was cut by Rs 6,590.62 per kilolitre (kl), or 10.3 per cent, to Rs 56,859.01 per kl in Delhi. This is the second straight cut in ATF rates. Prices were cut by Rs 874.13 per kl with effect from February 1. The rate of non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) was also reduced to Rs 805.50 per 14.2-kg cylinder from Rs 858.50 previously. Domestic LPG users are entitled to buy 12 bottles of 14.2 kg each at subsidised rates in a year. Since international oil prices have fallen, the government's subsidy payout will fall by almost Rs 50 per cylinder to Rs 240. Cooking gas is available only at market prices across the country. Eligible users, however, get subsidy in their bank account for buying LPG cylinders at subsidised rates. Price of 19-kg LPG cylinders, used by commercial establishment, came down to Rs 1,381.50 from Rs 1,466, the notification said. ANZ RVK
