The National Payments Corporation of India (<keyword id="193629" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="npci" source="Orion">NPCI</keyword>), along with telecom major <keyword id="2003276" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jio" source="Orion">Jio</keyword>, on Thursday announced that <keyword id="9621522" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="upi-autopay" source="Orion">UPI Autopay</keyword> has now been introduced for the telecom industry with Jio. Jio customers can now set standing instructions on the MyJio App using UPI <keyword id="2836894" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="autopay" source="Orion">Autopay</keyword> for their favourite tariff plans. "The combination of Jio's superior prepaid and postpaid plans and UPI Autopay will now be available to every Jio user," Kiran Thomas, Director, Jio, said in a statement. "Jio users will no longer need to remember their recharge renewal date or bill payment date and perform manual payments. This will enable an ALWAYS-ON service experience for every Jio prepaid user," Thomas added. Jio's integration with UPI Autopay has made it the first player in the telecom industry to go live with the unique e-mandate feature that was launched by NPCI. "We are glad to associate with Jio and witness UPI Autopay venturing into the ever-evolving telecom sector. We believe our collaboration will change the way Jio customers experience the renewal of their mobile tariff plans," said Kunal Kalawatia, Chief of Products, NPCI. "With UPI Autopay, it's our constant endeavour at NPCI to provide an extra layer of comfort and convenience to all the customers for their recurring spends and payments," Kalawatia added. Jio users can now use UPI to automatically recharge their numbers or make bill payments

In a recent announcement, Jio Fiber has said it will launch its Jio Fiber on September 5, 2019. The announcement also said the Jio Fiber customers will also get a fixed landline service which was earlier called as Jio FixedVoice. Also called as the Jio Home Phone, this comes as part of a bundled offer that will provide broadband internet services, landline connection and a TV connection. Early subscribers will also be able to get a number of added benefits. To subscribe for this service, you must first check if the service is available in your area.
