Mumbai, <keyword id="462153" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="IRB-Infrastructure-Developers">IRB Infrastructure Developers</keyword> on Tuesday said that its <keyword id="136326" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Board-of-Directors">board of directors</keyword> has increased the fund-raising <keyword id="6401555" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="limit">limit</keyword> from ₹4,500 crore to ₹5,500 crore. "The Board of Directors of the company on February 9, 2021 has approved the proposal of increasing the limit of raising of funds through various options including by way of issuance of debt securities, non-convertible debentures etc, through permissible routes," the company said in a regulatory filing. The fund would be raised in the in the onshore or offshore market and by public issue or on private placement basis. Shares of IRB Infra were trading at ₹111.20, higher by ₹2.15 or 1.97 per cent from its previous close. IRB Infrastructure share price rises 2% as board raises fund-raising limit to ₹5,500 crore

Mumbai, Feb 25 () Toll road firm IRB Infrastructure Developers on Tuesday said it has bagged a contract for operating and collecting toll on Mumbai-Pune Expressway project under the toll-operate-toll model. The company has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) for a period of 10 years and two months. The concession includes collection of toll and operation and maintenance activities on the expressway and old Mumbai-Pune highway NH-48 for the period up to April 30, 2030, the company said in a statement. As per the contract, IRB will have to pay Rs 8,262 crore to MSRDC for the rights for collecting toll, which would include an upfront payment of Rs 6,500 crore and a further staggered payment of Rs 850 crore each in second year and third year, and Rs 62 crore in fourth year. "The company will take possession of the project from March 1, 2020 and commence tolling and O&amp;M activities," IRB said. Commenting on the development, company's chairman and managing director Virendra Mhaiskar said, "We had managed this project for 15 years from 2004 to 2019 and hence we feel that it will help us in managing the project well and meet the expectations of all stakeholders." During the earlier concession period, IRB had paid Rs 918 crore to MSRDC for bagging the project. After the concession agreement lapsed in August last year, MSRDC had handed over toll collection on the stretch on temporary basis to Sahkar Global. Meanwhile, toll rates on the expressway are expected to increase from April 1 for three years after the appointment of new concessionaire. As per a government notification, the new toll rates for cars will increase from Rs 230 to Rs 270, while for mini buses it will go up from Rs 355 to Rs 420 for trucks, and it will rise from Rs 493 to Rs 580 for heavy axle vehicles. For buses, it will increase from Rs 675 to Rs 797, and for large trucks it will rise from Rs 1,165-1,555 to Rs 1,380-1,835. PSK RVK

IRB Infrastructure bags contract for operating, collecting toll on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

New Delhi, Feb 25 () IRB Infrastructure Developers on Tuesday said it has received the first tranche of investment of Rs 3,753 crore from GIC affiliates. In a regulatory filing, IRB Infrastructure Developers said Rs 3,753 crore from GIC affiliates has been received out of its commitment of Rs 4,400 crores by IRB Infrastructure Trust. "The balance commitment will be invested on the progress of construction of the under-construction projects," the filing added. In August 2019, the company had announced signing of definitive agreements with GIC affiliates, for an investment up to Rs 4,400 crore -- amounting to 49 per cent stake in a portfolio of nine of its assets through Private InvIT structure (IRB Infrastructure Trust), while IRB was to retain controlling stake of 51 per cent in the Trust. The portfolio spans across 5,900 lane kms in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka. "All nine assets in the portfolio are revenue generating assets," the filing said. The net revenue of the portfolio in FY2019 was around Rs 630 crore. Upon completion of construction of the nine BOT (build-operate-transfer) assets, the enterprise value of the private InvIT will be about Rs 22,500 crore. "With this investment for the largest transaction in the roads and highways sector, a meaningful long-term relationship has been forged with GIC, one of the world's leading sovereign wealth funds," said Virendra Mhaiskar, Chairman and Managing Director, IRB. The allotment of units to the investors will happen by February 27, 2020. Post the allotment of units, IRB will hold 51 per cent and GIC affiliates will hold 49 per cent stake in the Private InvIT. "This platform will not only give us exposure to a large, well-positioned and diversified portfolio of toll roads in India, but also enable IRB to continue growing their business. India remains a key long-term market for GIC given its strong economic fundamentals and infrastructure development potential," said Ang Eng Seng, Chief Investment Officer of Infrastructure at GIC. Bajaj Consultants Private Limited acted as the exclusive financial advisor to IRB for the transaction. IRB Infra said it won an order from the NHAI to six-lane 123 kilometres of the highway between Agra and Etawah at an estimated cost of 2,650 crore rupees. The construction period is 910 days and IRB Infra will construct the highway on a Built-Operate-Transfer basis. It will collect toll for 24 years on the road. 
 IRB Infra rose 2.80 rupees, or 1.3 percent, to 223.50 rupees on the National <keyword id="6368159" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Stock">Stock</keyword> Exchange where 7.5 lakh shares were traded versus the 5-day average of 24.6 lakhs. 
 
IRB Infra has seen its <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=market+capitalisation">market capitalisation</a> fall 15 percent in the past one year to 7,800 crore rupees and the stock trades at 1.74 times its book value of 129 rupees.

New Delhi, Feb 25 () IRB Infrastructure Developers' shares on Tuesday gained nearly 5 per cent after receiving the first tranche of investment from GIC affiliates. On the BSE, the stock jumped 9.05 per cent to intra-day high of Rs 101.80. It closed 4.71 per cent higher at Rs 97.75. On the NSE, it soared 9.15 per cent to Rs 101.90 and closed the day at Rs 97.70, up 4.66 per cent over previous close. More than 38 lakh shares were traded on the NSE and 2.33 lakh units were exchanged on the BSE. IRB stock jumps nearly 5 pc on first tranche of investment

New Delhi, Jan 5 () IRB Infrastructure Developers on Sunday said it has received a no objection certificate from the NHAI for transfer of nine BOT (build-operate-transfer) assets to IRB Infrastructure Trust and subsequent investment by GIC affiliates for 49 per cent stake in the Trust.
 In a filing to the BSE, the company said it has "received NOC from NHAI for transfer of nine of IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd BOT assets to IRB Infrastructure Trust..."
 "SEBI has already granted the Certificate of Registration...to the Trust to which the company is a Sponsor, to carry out the activities as an InVIT, subject to the conditions specified in the SEBI Act, 1992 and the Regulations made thereunder. Further, 98 per cent of our lenders have approved their NOCs supporting the deal and we expect to close the balance shortly," it said.
 In August 2019, the company had announced signing definitive agreements with GIC affiliates, for an investment up to Rs 4,400 crore -- amounting to 49 per cent stake in a portfolio of 9 of its assets through Private InvIT structure (viz IRB Infrastructure Trust), while IRB retains controlling stake of 51 per cent in the Trust.
 The portfolio spans across l,200 kms in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan &amp; Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kamataka.
 Three of these projects are operational and balance six are under various stages of construction.
 Five of the assets under construction are four to six laning projects, where tolling as well as construction has already begun. These projects are strategically located along economic corridors and across tourist hubs.
 The Investment proceeds from the deal will be used for part deleveraging of the portfolio and equity funding for under construction projects of the portfolio
 As the project manager for the Trust, IRB will execute the balance construction and O&amp;M for the Portfolio.
 GIC will also hold 49 per cent in the Investment Manager (IM) entity to manage the Trust.
 This transaction will significantly deleverage the said portfolio, and give IRB material equity support for construction completion, enhancing its project execution capabilities and increasing visibility for its EPC and O&amp;M order book. SID MKJ

IRB Infra gets NOC from NHAI for transfer of 9 BOT assets

New Delhi, Feb 14 () IRB Infrastructure Developers on Friday reported a 27 per cent decline in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 159.73 crore for the quarter ended December 2019. The infrastructure company had clocked a consolidated PAT of Rs 218.90 crore for the corresponding period a year-ago, it said in a regulatory filing to the BSE. Total income for the quarter declined to Rs 1,790.17 crore as against Rs 1,835.02 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses increased to Rs 1,534.36 crore, from Rs 1,446.82 crore earlier. The company's Chairman and Managing Director Virendra D Mhaiskar said, "Our execution pace continues to be strong and the quarter marked a return of traffic growth - presumably led by slight pick-up in economic activity across India. With Goa Kundapur project getting commissioned, all of our projects are now revenue generating." He added the company is expecting closure of deal with GIC affiliates soon and also a decision on the Mumbai-Pune expressway project. "Also, we are keenly evaluating a large pipeline of upcoming bids, comprising approx. Rs 10,000 cr TOT (toll-operate-transfer), Rs 26,000 cr BOT (build-operate-transfer) and Rs 48,000 cr HAM (hybrid annuity model) projects, expected to be awarded over the next 1-3 quarters," Mhaiskar said. The company said it has received provisional completion certificate for Goa/Karnataka Border-Kundapur four-laning project on NH-17 and has started tolling. All approvals for transferring nine road assets to the IRB Infrastructure Trust are in place, the statement said. The company has emerged as the single bidder for prestigious Mumbai-Pune Expressway TOT project and is awaiting final outcome from the authorities. New Delhi, Feb 16 () The strategic Zojila tunnel for all-year connectivity between Leh and Srinagar may undergo some design changes to prevent cost escalation as the government plans to complete the project at the earlier estimated cost of about Rs 6,800 crore, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said. The tunnel project, stalled for about six years, holds strategic significance as Zojila Pass is situated at an altitude of 11,578 feet on the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh National highway and remains closed during winters due to heavy snowfall, cutting off Ladakh region from Kashmir. "We are planning to make some design changes that may include doing away with escape tunnel and instead (have) alternative tunnels to cross from one side to the other as it will be my endeavour to prevent cost escalation and build it at the previous estimated cost of Rs 6,800 crore," Road Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari told . Though the revised project cost estimate of a little over Rs 8,000 crore has been sent to the Cabinet, "we are deliberating on minor design changes to prevent cost escalation," the minister said. "Besides the escape tunnel, we can do away with vertical shafts not compromising with safety," he said, adding that rebidding for the project was expected in a month or two. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had in May 2018 laid the foundation stone for the Rs 6,800 crore project, billed as the Asia's longest bi-directional tunnel, in Jammu and Kashmir. However, barely months after the foundation, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) on January 15, 2019 terminated the contract awarded to troubled IL&amp;FS group company IL&amp;FS Transportation after it abandoned the project citing financial problems. "The project which was earlier constructed on hybrid annuity mode will now be converted into EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) mode," Gadkari said. The cancellation of the award in January last year was the second time NHIDCL had scrapped the contract for the 14.15-km tunnel project which would cut down the 3.5-hour long drive through the mountainous Zojila Pass to just 15 minutes. The corporation had earlier cancelled the bid of IRB Infrastructure. IL&amp;FS Transportation in 2017 emerged as the lowest bidder in the rebidding process. Unveiling a plaque for commencement of work for the tunnel, Modi had said, "Zojila tunnel is not a mere tunnel but a modern day marvel." The Cabinet on January 3, 2018 had approved the Zojila tunnel project with Parallel Escape (Egress) tunnel between Baltal and Minamarg on the Srinagar-Leh section of NH-1A at a total cost of Rs 6,800 crore. The project was expected to be completed in seven years. On March 1, 2016, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had ordered "re-bidding" for the project, which had been awarded to IRB Infrastructure. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting, chaired by Gadkari, after Congress leader Digvijay Singh had alleged that guidelines were violated while awarding the contract. The original plans of the tunnel included fully transverse ventilation system, uninterrupted power supply (UPS), tunnel emergency lighting, CCTV monitoring, variable message signs (VMS), traffic logging equipment, overheight vehicle detection and tunnel radio system. Besides, it included pedestrian cross passages at every 250 metres and motorable cross passages and lay-bys at every 750 metres, as well as emergency telephones and fire-fighting cabinets at every 125 metres.
