New Delhi, <keyword id="6357252" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp" source="Orion">Hero MotoCorp</keyword> on Thursday said it recorded highest-ever sales in a festive season by retailing more than 14 lakh two-wheeler units in the 32-day period this year. The country's largest two-wheeler maker achieved the sales mark between the first day of the Navratras and Bhai Dooj on November 15. Riding on robust demand across rural markets as well as steady retail off-take in key urban centres, the company registered a 19 per cent growth over the previous year, and surpassed its previous highest retail of 12.7 lakh units which was recorded in the festive period of 2019, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement. "Our strong portfolio of brands, scale of distribution and new launches done this year have helped in driving this growth across geographies," Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said. The festive season is a clear testimony that rural is coming back to growth, which augurs well for the country in general and the two-wheeler industry in particular, he added. Hero MotoCorp Chief Business Officer (India Business Unit) Ranjivjit Singh said the record retail number was achieved due to the strong customer traction across markets, with good double-digit growth in the Central, North, South and East zones. The robust customer demand in the rural markets, in addition to the very positive sentiments in key urban centres, drove this record retail sales, he added. "With this robust retail sales, our post-festive channel inventory has now come down to its lowest level in more than three years. This has set us on a steady growth path for the rest of the fiscal year," Singh noted.

Hero MotoCorp logs highest-ever retail sales of over 14 lakh units in festive season

New Delhi, Dec 2 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Monday reported 15.31 per cent decline in total sales to 5,16,775 units in November.
The company had sold 6,10,252 units in the same month a year ago, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.
Total motorcycle sales were at 4,79,200 units as compared to 5,43,982 units in November last year. Scooter sales stood at 37,575 units as against 66,270 units in the year-ago month.
Hero MotoCorp said its domestic sales during the month stood at 5,05,994 units as against 6,01,045 units in November last year, down 15.82 per cent.
Exports, however, grew 17 per cent at 10,781 units as compared to 9,207 units in the year-ago month.
"Following record festive retail sales in October 2019 and lowest-ever inventory in two-years, the November 2019 despatch numbers reflect Hero MotoCorp's intent to ensure a smooth transition to BS-VI norms," the company said.
In November the company said it commenced retail sales of BS-VI compliant motorcycle, Splendor iSmart with fuel injection technology.
Hero MotoCorp said it has scaled up production of its BS-VI vehicles, while discontinuing rolling out of several BS-IV models in an effort to migrate completely to the new emission era.
It has stopped production of more than 50 variants of its BS-IV range of models, while rapidly increasing the production of BS-VI vehicles. RKL BAL

The company exported 28.14% more two-wheelers to 15,711 units during the month. “A positive turnaround in customer sentiments, particularly for motorcycles across markets, continued government policy support and a credible resumption of the supply chain, logistics and business operations have enabled the company to achieve record numbers during the auspicious festive period,” the company said in a statement. It also registered significant gains in market share in the second quarter (July-September) across product categories and geographies and expected to further build on this momentum going ahead, it added. The company said it has also increased inventory at dealerships expecting good retail sales during the Diwali festival. Hero’s Chief Financial Officer, Niranjan Gupta, earlier in the financial earnings report, said, “Based on early estimates, we expect the momentum to continue into the festive season which has started well for us. Hero Motocorp shares gain after it logs ‘highest-ever’ sales in October

New Delhi, Apr 23 () The country's largest two wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has come up with a financial package to support its dealers who have been facing liquidity crunch due to nationwide lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.The package, announced by Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal at a digital Town Hall over video conference earlier this week, includes a revised pricing structure on new products, financial support towards the interest on dealer stocks and financing options from Hero FinCorp, the company's retail finance arm.  "We have revised the pricing structure that will enhance your profitability, and the new structure will be applicable on all dispatches post the lockdown. Additionally, I am also happy to announce financial support towards the interest on the dealer stock for the complete lockdown period of 41 days," Munjal said at the Town Hall.The event was attended by the company's dealers, sales and after sales staff and its senior leadership team.To support the dealers with liquidity for operating expenditure (OPEX), the two wheeler major has come up with a solution with Hero FinCorp, which would disburse an amount in line with the respective dealer's wage and rental liabilities at a subsidised rate of interest.Several company dealers confirmed the steps announced by the company to improve their liquidity position.Munjal has now addressed the company's dealers twice over video conference in less than a month since the lockdown was announced.In his first town hall held on March 28 Munjal had announced the company's support measures for the dealers to help them in liquidating the BS-IV stock and for manpower up-skilling at dealerships.Hero MotoCorp' sales network includes over 6,000 touch points, comprising around 1000 dealers, service centres etc, across the country.Auto dealers of various companies are staring at huge losses as the lockdown has hampered retail sales and they are saddled with the large BS-IV inventory.Already, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has come up with a slew of measures, including buyback of unsold BS-IV stock, in order to support its sales partners. Hero MotoCorp announces financial support to dealers amid lockdown

Beating market estimates, India’s largest two-wheeler maker <keyword id="685322" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp-Ltd">Hero MotoCorp Ltd</keyword> on Thursday posted a 58.62% jump in the net profit to Rs 763 crore for the second-quarter ended September 30.  Hero had recorded a net profit of Rs.481 crore a year ago. 
 
The company’s turnover rose 20.76% to Rs 6,915 crore for the reported quarter as compared to Rs 5,726 crore during the year ago period. 
 
The company's total sales during the quarter stood at 16,92,593 units in terms of volumes. 
 <keyword id="87849" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pawan-Munjal">Pawan Munjal</keyword>, vice-chairman and managing director, <keyword id="6357252" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp">Hero MotoCorp</keyword>, said, “We are only beginning to see how strong an impact we can make on the market with our innovation and technological improvements. A concerted focus on costs has enabled us to have good margins.” 
 
"These numbers bode well for the festive season and we are looking at leveraging this momentum to ensure record retail sales in the month of October," he added. 
 
According to Munjal, with the new stable government at the Centre, the sentiment in the entire country has turned positive. 
 
"The rupee depreciation, which had adversely impacted several sectors, and pulled up the costs of essential commodities, has also more or less stabilised. We will continue to be innovative in tackling any extraneous pressures to protect our margins," he added.

Hero MotoCorp Q2 Net Profit Rises To Rs 763 Crore

New Delhi, Apr 1 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday reported a 42.4 per cent decline in total sales at 3,34,647 units in March.    The company had sold 5,81,279 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.    Total motorcycle sales stood at 3,05,883 units last month as against 5,35,943 units in March 2019, down 42.9 per cent.    Total scooter sales declined 36.55 per cent to 28,764 units as compared with 45,336 units in the year-ago month, it added.    In the domestic market, sales stood at 3,16,685 units last month as compared with 5,53,302 units in the same period a year ago, down 42.7 per cent.    "In March 2020, the auto industry and the entire global economy has been faced with unprecedented disruption, owing to the novel coronavirus. The COVID-19 has resulted in interrupted supply chains, halted production and lock-down, leading to no retails," the company said.  <keyword id="1589781" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Honda-Motorcycle-and-Scooter-India-Pvt-Ltd">Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd</keyword> (<keyword id="121221" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="HMSI">HMSI</keyword>), the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of Japan-based Honda Motor Company, revved up the sales charts, registering an overall growth of 55% in May 2014. 
 <keyword id="6359451" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="motorcycle">Motorcycle</keyword> sales alone registered a growth of 76% to 1,60,295 units from 91,280 units a year ago. HMSI also recorded 42% increase in scooter sales to 1,95,431 units from 137,863 units in May 2013. The company now holds 24% share in the domestic two-wheeler market. 
 <keyword id="6357252" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp">Hero Motocorp</keyword>, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, led the pack in pure volumes. The company sold 6,02,481 units in May 2014, registering 8% increase in sales from 5,57,890 units in the previous year. Riding on volumes driven by new launches, Hero Motocorp holds the highest ever despatch sales for any non-festival period in May 2014.

Two-wheeler Sales Have A Good Run In May 2014

New Delhi, Dec 12 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp plans to drive in BS-VI upgrades of around ten products, including five top-selling bikes and scooters by February next year, as it aims to upgrade its product portfolio well before the deadline of April, 1 2020, according to sources.
 The two wheeler major plans to showcase the upgraded products at an event in February 2020 at its R&amp;D centre (Centre of Innovation and Technology), in Jaipur,
 "Within the next 4-8 weeks, the company will launch around ten BS-VI products including its key products such as Splendor, HF Deluxe, Glamour motorcycles and Maestro Edge scooter," a company source said.
 Hero MotoCorp has already commenced the retail sales of its first BS-VI motorcycle, the Splendor iSmart in November 2019. 
 The transition to the higher emission norms for the company is being driven at its R&amp;D centre in Jaipur, which was commissioned in March 2016.
 Since then, Hero has further enhanced its in-house R&amp;D capabilities by setting-up the Hero Tech Center GmbH, near Munich in Germany. 
 Besides, the BS-VI transition, the company's is also focusing on a range of new premium products and accessories to increase its market share in such verticals.
 At the recent EICMA motor show in Milan, the Hero MotoCorp had showcased the Xtreme 1.R Concept which is expected to hit the roads soon.
"The XPulse Rally Edition that Hero will launch soon, has been developed basis the learnings from the company's motorsport team and will open up a new segment for biking enthusiasts in the country," the source said.
 When contacted, a company spokesperson said, "We have already launched Splendor iSmart in the market, which is the country's first BS-VI motorcycle. As stated earlier, we have also stopped production of more than 50 variants of our BS-IV range, and now aggressively working towards complete migration of our entire range to BS-VI norms. We will make the announcements on specific products at an appropriate time closer to their market launch."

Hero MotoCorp gears up to drive in around ten BS VI models by February

The country's largest two-wheeler maker <keyword id="6357252" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp">Hero MotoCorp</keyword> on Tuesday launched BS-VI compliant version of its entry level 100 cc bike, HF Deluxe with price starting at Rs 55,925. The HF Deluxe BS-VI will be available at Rs 55,925 for self-start alloy-wheel variant and Rs 57,250 for self-start alloy i3S variant (prices ex-showroom Delhi) from the beginning of January 2020, the company said in a statement. The launch of HF Deluxe BS-VI follows the recent launch of the company's first-ever BS-VI product, Splendor iSmart.
 "With these products coming in quick succession, Hero MotoCorp is rapidly ramping-up its portfolio of BS-VI products and plans to transform its entire range to BS-VI norms very soon," it said.
 Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Executive Director - Operations (Plants) and Chief Technology Officer Vikram Kasbekar said: "At Hero MotoCorp, we have been working towards ensuring a smooth transition to the BS-VI norms, not just for us but also for all our stakeholders, the industry and most importantly the customers."
 He further said, "We are into the final leg of this transition phase and key products in our portfolio like the HF Deluxe are being transitioned now to ensure smooth ramp-up."
 Stating that the company's BS-IV inventories are low and will not be replenished going forward, Kasbekar added, "We will be introducing a slew of BS-VI products in the coming weeks."
 Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said HF Deluxe has already entered the two-million sales club and commands well over two-third market share in the category.
 "With the new HF Deluxe BS-VI, powered by programmed FI (fuel injection) technology, we have further enhanced the performance and efficiency of the motorcycle."
